“Thank the Lord for N Scale Supply! A Great Little Train Shop!”

Dennis M.
2/20/21

N Scale Supply in Arvada Colorado is a great little train shop, specializing in N Scale. During the past 11 months of this evil PLANdemic of the not-so-lethal Corona virus (as the media would have us believe), N Scale Supply has been there to help us continue to enjoy our modeling! Following state guidelines around the virus, N Scale Supply has been there. The amount of items carried by Scott is far superior to what the "Rebirth-of-the-legendary-Caboose Hobbies-but-now-defunct-train-shop" ever had! And at better prices, too! Being local to Colorado, a visit to N Scale Supply is always a joy to be had. Being a small operator, Scott may have only one or two items of a particular kit or item (except for staples like paint, glues, track, scenery materials, etc), but he restocks and receives shipments from his major suppliers twice a week. For instance, I recently ordered a couple of particular decal sheets produced by Microscale. Now I have ordered directly from Microscale in the past, but they always charge $10.00 just for shipping. You have to order $60 to $80 worth in decals to justify that order. Now I didn't expect N Scale Supply to have the two decal sheets I wanted to be in stock. That would be ludicrous. So Scott ordered them from his distributors, and I received them in a reasonable amount time. And I didn't have to spend $80 to do it. Nor did I have to spend $17.00 just to get a $7.00 item! If there is something I may want or need, although being local, I often "order via the web site" so Scott can order items in in case that item may be out, or particularly, I want to order 5 or 6 of the same thing. He them puts the items aside for me when I stop in. Plus, he offers most items at a discount, so you are not having to pay retail prices on everything. He responds to emails usually within a day, and always lets me know when I have Items I have ordered that are ready to be picked up. To address comments by that pissy-punk who left the other nasty review, the N Scale Supply web site list lines and items carried by that wonderful little business. That doesn't mean he will ship your item in 20 minutes. He is not eBay! It doesn't mean your item you want wasn't sold yesterday to the guy before you, but he has 10 more stored in the back. No business dealing with a diverse hobby as ours, with tens of thousands of items by hundreds of manufacturers, can order, stock, and pay for everything in advance, hoping that you or somebody else will order one! If you expect that, go to TRAIN CARNIVAL OR BIG-$#*! TRAINS.COM for your stuff! Many of the items Scott stocks, many of the "jems" of N Scale, are not even carried by those carnival stores. So stop acting like all you have to do is walk up to your microwave, press a few buttons, and two minutes later your trains come out! So I highly recommend N Scale Supply for all things N Scale! What a great little place I'm lucky to have live close by!

“This company has no clue what customer service/satisfaction is!”

A few weeks ago, I placed an online order with N Scale Supply an online hobby store dealing with N scale trains. I had purchased from them in the past and did not experience any problems, I did not hesitate to order from them again. BOY! WHAT A MISTAKE! Soon after placing the order, I was notified by an employee named SCOTT that several of my choices were out of stock ( the website clearly indicated they were in stock) and a few of the rest of the items ordered were not available until he secured the merchandise from elsewhere. More then SEVERAL e-mails crossed our paths and nothing but confusion set in. Rather than pick up the telephone and call me directly so we discuss the problems in person, I receive an email the following day telling me SCOTT CANCELLED THE ORDER because of a credit card on file issue. I ask you, with all the personal information an online business wants from you to establish an account, one very vital piece of information is the CUSTOMER'S TELEPHONE NUMBER. SCOTT, NEVER, EVER bothered himself to pick up the phone and talk to me to try and rectify the problem. In fact, when you call N Scale Supply's place of business in Arvada, Colorado *******702, you NEVER get the chance to speak with a "live" person. Your choices are send an email or Leave a message. Was I angry? Justifiably so... I wrote them their requested email telling them what I thought of their customer service or lack there of! Wanting to give any business that I had problems with, I always gave them a second chance to right the wrong and see if they would be willing to fill another order request. Within 3 minutes of sending off the order form via e-mail, I receive an a reply email from SCOTT indicating he cancelled that order as well! DO NOT... REPEAT, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES place an ORDER, CALL, or EMAIL N SCALE SUPPLY if you WANT CUSTOMER SERVICE/SATISFACTION OR EXPECT TO HAVE THE ITEMS YOU DESIRE IN STOCK! N SCALE SUPPLY.COM SUCKS too say the very least!
