Randal knows what he's doing. He called and talked to me for an hour on the phone before my consultation the next day! He has- Great listening skills, Great communication, knowledgeable, Responsiveness, patience, Hard working, and preserving. I'm happy I hired Randal and I have him on my side.
Told them we needed a one-time consult. Was told 3 times someone would get back to us within 24 hours. The third time I offered to pay for the consult. I said if our situation is too small, just say that so we could move on. "We may be able to help you with that." was the response. 2 seconds to exercise professional courtesy would have prevented this review e.g. Sorry, this is not the type of case our site can help you with. How stupid.

While helping out my brother who had received a notification that his house would be sold during the next months Sheriff's Sale - searching for any/all guidance - I found the NOLO website and submitted requested information. Immediately received a reply with 3 law firms that might be able to help. I went on line of 1 of the 3, filled out some information and that same day received an e-mail directly from an individual at the law firm. We traded a few e-mails, traded phone calls, spoke on the phone (free consultation) and with her suggestions - The Sherriff's Sale has been cancelled! No purchase was needed. I am a retired accountant nearing Medicare age helping out a family member that NOLO provided options that ended up saving the day - THANK YOU!

My ex-husband passed away and I had questions to ensure I was protecting my children from his death. Mr. Richards was extremely helpful in providing advice and guidance on how best to handle the situation. He took as much time as was needed to answer my questions and address any concerns I had. Should I have estate legal issues again I would definitely go to him first!
J'aime les articles en vente sur ce site. Cela prend juste un certain temps à venir mais quand cela se produit. Vous êtes très satisfait
Great references and legal documents for the layman and the paraprofessional. Good estate planning documents, for good or for people who can't afford an attorney right now. Better to have something in place than nothing. (But still go to a lawyer eventually. Even so, reading these books will help you understand what an attorney is doing for you!)
I personally use Nolo for most of my legal questions. It is a great site to get ideas about areas of law.
I think Nolo press is the best place to start for any legal dealing. I wrote my patent using Nolo Press and went to a Patent Lawyer to review and file it. It worked out!
I have unfortunately have gone through numerous real life lawyers who turned out to be absolutely awful. The last lawyer who I happened to respect and grateful for meeting told me 90% of lawyers out there do not know what they are doing. SO what value Nolo will bring is educating yourself first so that you are versed in what you are trying to deal with in legal arena. Questions to ask, what to watch out for... Nolo definitely does not replace a real human lawyer, but for basic things like incorporating, landlord tenant issues, etc. It is a great resource.
However, if you are going to litigation, still read and research as much as possible before you start interviewing lawyers. And you better have your intuition antenna out in full force when you do research and interview lawyers. Also do not trust a lot of rating system for lawyers unless they are negative. I have learned a painful way that you really need to read reviews on anyone/site before start engaging. Have in mind that some people are just plain negative which you can disregard, but you can ascertain the trend from site like this one!
You will save a lot of aggravation, money,
Nolo probably makes a bundle on selling legal documents that cost them basically nothing. But for the rest of us, Nolo can save you a huge amount of money over paying for an expensive attorney. I'm not saying you shouldn't use an attorney. You should when you need it. But if you're doing basically estate planning stuff, like getting the documents for a basic will, or doing probate stuff. I'd read the Nolo books first before paying for an expensive estate planning attorney.
I wrote my entire living will and estate plan using Nolo.com and saved myself around $7000. I showed it to a lawyer in my family and he seemed to think I did everything correctly. It does take work to use nolo but big savings if you use it.
The homepage of Nolo Press, the pioneers of do-it-yourself law, is also a rich source of free legal information.
