I have been on this site now for a number of months in my neighbourhood and surrounding areas, I do like to post what is happening whether it be good bad or indifferent.
I have posted many things that have been reported in the news or in the local newspaper and in doing so I have been subject to what I will call blatent woke censorship which is totally wrong when what i have posted was and is happening around Yorkshire.
If you are running something like this that is meant for neighbourhoods around the country then surely what is happening in those neighbourhoods should be reported and open to discusion. Legitimate newspaper stories or TV news should be made open to everyone and not shut down because it upsets one or two people if you don't like it don't read it that's my opinion but having said that my opinion seems to get me banned so as far as I'm concerned it's not worth joining this site. I have also just found out that it is run by a woke facebook team so thst explains volumes.
I was threatened by a man on Nextdoor. He actually threatened to come to my home. They did NOTHING. I asked them, begged them to come to my aid + call the authorities, as I didn't know his address or even his real name. They did NOTHING. I now have to live in fear of a strange man coming to my home, and no one wants to hear it. They never help until it's too late. Please take my advice + steer well clear of this horrible, horrible site. It is NOT about the neighborhood. At all.
I wonder if people on this website are real. I have contacted a number of people of all ages and suburbs only to find that I receive no reply. Just wonder how genuine people are about making new friends.
The Nextdoor App is absolutely the worst site I have ever been on. The site is full of sick people who criticize and mock other people, and God help you if you try to stick up for one of the people being mocked. These biddies leach onto your comments, say nasty things to you, then make posts about how YOU abuse them, even if you have Never said anything bad about them or anyone else. It is insane. I was told I was drunk, mentally disturbed, and was hit in the head by firecrackers when I tried to defend a person who was being verbally abused by these biddies... they are totally insane... and don't try to contact an admin because you will not hear from them... nasty comments will be left on the site for all to read.
Without any supervision, people can accuse others without any burden of proof, and/or publish pictures of them without permission. This can be extremely damaging to the reputation of others, without a real way to address the perpetrator, of contact the app/company.
NextDoor is completely two-faced about their policies. My father is an elderly retired veteran. He posted something several of the "woke" people on the site didn't like. One woman threatened him three times, including bashing his head in if he called the police about the threats. Another woman called him vile names, slandering him. He reported all the woman to NextDoor. Did any of them get suspended? No! My dad tried to quit the site and wanted his data deleted. NextDoor refuses because they say he is on suspension! Him, not the women! NextDoor violates your privacy by forcing you to use your real name and they even put a pin on Google Maps to show where your house is! Not only do they not punish violent threats, but they make it easy for the victim to be found. I am disgusted. If you are an elderly white male, you will be discriminated against on NextDoor. I have screenshots of everything in case I need to go to the police.
NextDoor routinely censors and suspends non-woke people.
America is based on a set of principles that NextDoor violates
To promote the Woke agenda. Christians and other normal people are banned simply for expressing their beliefs that Freaks and Nextdoor
Cannot tolerate because they can't refute them.
Shove your rainbow agenda and massive censoring of any type of conservative view. This site is barely good for buying and selling. If it is good for anything it is good for your local neighborhood watch
Another disturbing example of nextdoor censorship, this time seeking to empower a bunch of old ladies with the attitude of "you must not discuss politics or religion, and everything must be 'peaches and cream.' " Please see the attached screenshot for a specific example. The screenshot is large and you'll need to open it up in its own browser tab to be able to read it. Particularly disturbing is nextdoor intentionally not showing, to even you from your own profile, your posts they've "hidden," with the intent of making it impossible for you to access those posts and challenge the "hiding" of those posts. As always, the goal of that censorship is to try to prevent accountability for the rampant government corruption that's infested the U.S. and that is currently hurting people in their everyday lives.
Another disturbing example of nextdoor censorship, this time seeking to favor people who post personal attacks over those posting genuine concerns while deceitfully trying to claim the opposite. Please see the attached screenshot for a specific example. As always, the goal of that censorship is to try to prevent accountability for the rampant government corruption that's infested the U.S.
The censorship on nextdoor is as pervasive as ever, as shown by the attached screenshot. It appears nextdoor now favors the more deceitful shadow banning tactics instead of the account lock out tactics it was using before. The most disturbing thing about nextdoor's censorship is its pattern of attempted suppression of awareness and exposure of government corruption.
Nextdoor is a social media site whose stated purpose is to connect communities and neighborhoods. Nextdoor goes beyond outright censorship, which is bad enough, and actually commits libel by selectively deleting posts of those it wants to censor, with the intent to create a false impression of the person Nextdoor is censoring, and what that person is seeking to communicate. Below is a documented example of that in action.

Nextdoor is committing ongoing rampant censorship to try to sideline and block awareness of all concerns that don't espouse the leftist communist agenda. This is in direct violation of Nextdoor's commitment to a free
And open platform where everyone can express their concerns. This is especially troubling since those concerns address real life problems for the residents involved which means that Nextdoor is complicit in causing those problems and in preventing accountability for the corrupt government officials who are causing those problems.
At the same time, Nextdoor allows those who espouse the leftist communist agenda to post innuendo and attacks with impunity, prime examples being "... fear in your speculation...," "... Yea, you can speculate science fiction...," "... people-with-extreme-political-views-have-trouble-thinking-about=their-own-thinking...," "... the conspiracy is not as sinister as you have fears...," "... several statements you have made are opinion, not fact...,"... it's the speculative and opinion statements that have eroded your credibility...," "... as I said your rants are speculative truth..." and "... your personal observations are not fact, but hearsay..."
They completely ignore CCPA trying to use a loophole by saying they need to retain you data for "we are unable to comply with your request for deletion of your personal information, as it is necessary for us to maintain this information for reasons that may include maintaining the security of our platform, protecting against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, and/or exercising or defending legal claims." They are abusing this, are a horrible company that need to be sued out of existence.
I was on nextdoor and learned that Nextdoor is owned by an Indian. It's also India that is the source of many highly sophisticated hacks! The hacks often come through as an alert from your bank, something that involves one of your accounts, that has an unusually large charge. "If this isn't your charge please contact us immediately". They want you to contact them, slowly divulge your information, close your account and deposit it in Bitcoin or another account. They look soooooo real! DELETE THEM! Stay off of Nextdoor because it's easy to get details about you. When I tried to warn people in my neighborhood Nextdoor IMMEDIATELY banned me! If it wasn't true they would have argued the accusation.
So many things went wrong in the first 10 mins of my first post. People laugh reacted at my home being broke into. I was told "not to show my face around town" and I was harassed multiple times for being a woman. In 10 minutes. There is no moderation and no key word ban. I honestly can't believe the developers of this app are okay with the things that go on. I work in UX and this is the first time I have ever written a negative comment like this. Do better - it is obvious things need changed. I was threatened and nothing was done. THREATENED on an APP for NEIGHBORS to help one another. Disgusting.
I signed up, thinking a great way to know what's going on in the neighborhood. Mainly for Problems like B&E's, Vandalism, Jockey Boxing, car theft, etc. It's nothing like that! Overwhelmed by ignorant people, airing all kinds of pointless info.( ie "My neighbors plays his music too loud). If you want to join an online "Sewing Circle" with a bunch of Karen and Todd's griping about F-All. Do yourself a favor and avoid it, you'll hate people even more!
We ordered the development of our online store of delicacies and products from Europe. The development took more than 3 months due to the complexity of the functionality, and the BFG iTECH web-studio team did it perfectly. Satisfied with the cooperation and the site!
This app is a racket. They only want to see posts about hearing gunshots, suspicious people in the community, restaurant complaints, and every other negative 1st world problem you can find. Negativity and hate are encouraged when positivity and sharing community events that being people together are discouraged. When posts are removed for no reason and appealed only to be told they are not in "guidelines" and that they do not like people who "continuously break the rules" is a form of socialism and restriction of our right or freedom of speech. This app has left me speechLESS.
And business owners, doNOT pay for advertising. You will waste money on ads that do not get shown to anyone.
My account in Crestview Fl was permanently disabled. I merely suggested that all the numerous Bible quoters-walk their talk not just talk it and I got permanently terminated. They are affiliated with FaceBook you're being watched and data stored about you.
After a few years of being a member i wrote an article stating the fact that on Memorial Day I noticed the lack of American flags being flew and a great number of pride flags being displayed which i thought was sad because people are forgetting why they have the freedom to display them in the first place. This earned me a 3 day ban with no explanation. They seem to allow diragitory statements while mine was an observation
Many post's on who to call for all manner of wildlife to be eradicated, Constant post's about bullying the homeless from city property. Law enforcement are worshiped on this site, police are sacrosanct hero's where you will be attacked and reported if you comment on civil rights violations or lack of response in Uvalde. I was kicked off the site for pointing out the failures of Uvalde. Lot's of blatant racism lots of ring videos posted of "stranger" in neighborhood invariably they are black and actually live in the neighborhood. Lots of conspiracy theories and misinformation that some of the mods agree with it so they dont apply the rules. The place is kind of like taking a step back into mindset of the 1960's
I had enjoyed Nextdoor for a few years but what they've done to me recently is completely unprofessional and lacking any integrity. The short version is, my account is suspended for 30 days for "violating community guidelines". I emailed them asking what I said that was a problem. I got a reply that showed me the comments and dates I made them. ALL 3 of the comments were in defense of the person who posted their misfortune, I was showing support and sympathy for them. One lady posted that her car was broken into by thieves, I commented something like "thieves are losers".
Another show of support for someone who was victimized by criminal activity, her bike was stolen, I commented "thieves are too stupid to get a job"
And the 3rd comment I made Was on a lady's post about a guy breaking car windows on her street.
I said something like "what a scumbag vandal" to do that. So NONE of the 3 comments were about other users in Nextdoor but rather about criminals who victimized them. I brought that to the attention of Nextdoor personnel and they just ignore me as if they don't want to admit that they made a mistake. I said "so, if someone mentioned Charles Manson
I guess we better speak good about him or our accounts will get suspended. THAT - is completely irresponsible and not cool to suspend me for
Supporting fellow members by sympathizing with them
This website is definitely a harbor of right wing rage at everyone that isn't white, or upper middle class. Calling people out for literally calling for the rounding up of poor people to be shipped out of their area just got my account deactivated.
Answer: The negative reviews are honest reactions to being duped into sharing too much personal information (that Nextdoor now owns and will NEVER delete and will continue to sell to advertisers until your dying day) to join a site that seems friendly on the surface, but which does NOTHING to protect users. I was bullied by a convicted murderer, who is a Lead in my neighborhood--and I was banned from the site for complaining. Leads are nothing more than early adopters of the site who have been assigned power over other users so that Nextdoor does not have to police it's own site. In short: No. The negative reviews are not wrong. Heed them! I wish I had known before it was too late!
Answer: Forget about nextdoor and leads. Get a life, a real one. Don't waste your time with toxic online communities that tend to get the worst out of people. My advise is run away while you still have some dignity left.
Answer: Kay is right. That is their policy. However, don't expect them to hold to it. We have leads unfairly removing only some people's comments and Nextdoor does nothing about it. Best bet, dump nextdoor.
Answer: Neighborhood. Rocks is in development. Another 6 months.
Answer: Truth is like oil and water. As long as the scam artist have enough venture capital (other people's money) they will continue to shake the bottle leaving it a murky view obscuring the truth. Run out of cash, they'll be exposed for the incompetent boobs they are and the top dogs will clear out their bank accounts and move on to the next scam. One look at their "leading edge tech" pulled right out of the 1980's is proof enough they will die in the tar pits just like the fellow dinosaurs. Want a state of the art app? Check out https://wiggio.com or www.neighborhoodlink.com
Answer: Dallas, SiteJabber rates it at 16%. It would surely rate lower if there weren't so many fake positive reviews. Folks review Nextdoor either 1 or 5. The fives read like ads about Nextdoor's features and potential. The ones are written by real people and give accounts of how awful their experiences were.
Answer: Several other reviewers on this site have had the same thing happen to them. We have been fully banned from nextdoor (beyond just "suspension"), but they keep our profiles, and sometimes our names still appear in the neighbor registry. They refuse to remove us fully, I suppose, in an attempt to misrepresent our endorsement and participation there. It's clearly unethical, but their TOS states that they can do this, as any nd apologist will point out.
Answer: Here's a tidy answer from corporate... Hi Colleen, Thanks for getting back to me. Our Community Guidelines prohibit posting about Lead activity on the main newsfeed. If your Leads are inactivate and youre concerned about moderation in your neighborhood, you should reach out directly to Nextdoor Support. If you have any specific concerns I can help you with at this time, please let me know. Best, Amanda Nextdoor However, the minute you alert corporate to issues with leads in your community you'll find your account terminated. They are very protective of the information surrounding who really is controlling the activities on the boards. Most people in my community are under the misguided impression that corporate is in control. They don't even consider it is their neighbor who sits in judgement.
Answer: Nextdoor wants your full legal name, house number and address and your email address that they link all together. As an added bonus... They have a little map that you can click on. That way if, OMG, you offend someone the little map leads them straight to your house. Run, do not walk, away from this site. No good comes from Nextdoor.
Answer: Your name and address will be known to everyone who uses the NextDoor application and website. I don't suggest using it. I recently discovered that low income apartments in ghetto areas might be able to use the application to do crime. Car theft, asaaults, kidnapping and just about everything else under the sun.
