Ordered from this business and received a different item to what I paid for, they did reply early on during the xmas period to my initial email regards this but the business made out it was an accident but it just didn't sound like an honest mistake hearing the responses from them, don't imagine a business is that poor at sending orders incorrectly out that could be more expensive than paid or just as it happens in my case cheaper! Hmm. I get the distinct feeling they sent what they did because they never had what I actually ordered or paid for in stock and hoped I just wouldn't notice the difference or bother to contact them, they could get the sale that they wouldn't have been able to had they cancelled the order, add in by sending a cheaper old lower spec'd kit they make extra £ profit. Winner winner for them.
Tried to get me to accept partial swap that was far from acceptabl, practical or even right! Just wanted my money back and they pay the return postage as its there doing…I had a really bad feeling about them from then on. Spider senses tingling!
They agreed I send it back but demanded I pay the return postage and they refund it after they check serial numbers etc? Hang on they told me they didn't check what you sent out in the first place in earlier excuses for why I was sent what I was hence why wrong item was sent! Yet they now want to check serial numbers?! More lies, being difficult. I begrudgingly agreed to pay postage £12.05 for next day insured.
They receive it back next day. I then find on there website there promise that blatantly says if the goods are not as described they will pay and organise for the goods to be collected from me. They where not as described! More lies, demanded immediate refund as far from happy now with constant lies. They then make up a TC that it's 5-7 working days to get refund, it says nothing anywhere about this that I can see or find so tell them least they can do considering this whole headache is there's is refund me everything right now, they refuse and state 5-7 days, alarm bells and spider senses, boom!
I do not accept this made up 5-7 day refund policy they conjured up out of thin air, any decent business would refund immediately as it was there doing and not the customers, it's very least they can do! I was not happy and had no trust in them so went to PayPal, they then told me I wont be getting my postage refund as I've gone via PayPal and it's not included as some sort of threat to stop me anyway I've gone thru PayPal against this business to try to get all my money back, it really seemed like they where deliberately withholding £579.99 and £12.05 from me for as long as they could and just to be awkward. Alot more I could put into detail with dealing with this business but it wud take forever.
Ive failed to mention the famous phone call this business will likely make to you tho.
Can only describe what I heard was an immature, argumentative individual that talks down to u as if your completely gullible to the lies that just keep coming out there mouth, They accuse you of talking over them but the issue is they can't stop themselves, they just love it, can say this after receiving one of the famous phone calls that lasted 40 mins! I honestly have never experienced anything quite like it, it was felt like an agitated teenager know it all trying to berate you constantly. It was just lies and bull all of it.The call was for there benefit clearly, they enjoy making them obviously.
Read the negative but honest reviews left on here you will read all about the phone calls and abuse customers have endured like me. Ignore the 5 star ones as I question any of them...
Dont use this business theres a good chance you'll experience all the above one way or another they make story's up one being New Year's Eve was a bank holiday! It's not! So they couldn't refund me, and there accounts dept is closed (it's one person! There a tiny business) and the PayPal refund is simple and quick and easy so no excuses have you!
Finally ignore the response they will post to here, and complain to this review site! They will spin a completely different version of events I guarantee you and try to come across like a friendly professional business. Trust me, they are not!
UPDATE-
Well as fully expected couple of things, complaint to review site so I've removed what's made them cry.
I post negative review I get there attention and an email trying to blackmail me to remove review and then will refund ‘promptly' and give me my money back + include the postage as a good will gesture! Unbelievable! The nerve!
It was near the 6th day of your made up refund 5-7 day refund policy already! Prompt! I think not.
I refused point blank, it's illegal! Now have a refund from PayPal after they backed down on that threat, But they refuse my return postage unless I remove reviews, I'm not removing them! THEFT
Not to be trusted,do not use
Nothing in the end
This is going to be a VERY long, detailed, honest review as a WARNING to other people before purchasing from this company.
I came across this website NEXT DAY DEAL when looking for the Nikon D5600. They had a bundle, with the camera - kit lens and then also another lens. This said in stock when I ordered. I messaged the company with an email asking if the price can be reduced and if finance was available. I don't think asking if the price can be reduced is anything bad, I thought I might as well try as if you don't ask - you don't get! As soon as they said no I was okay with that and I made my order straight away(if I wasn't OK with this then I wouldn't have continued to go ahead with a £679.99 purchase) but Aaron seems to think that I was trying to extort him by getting money off my purchase, I was attracted to this company as of course, it said if ordered before 2PM I will receive next day delivery, but anyway everything was good.
I was then emailed saying'Your order is on the way, track your shipment to see the delivery status. Items in this shipment: Nikon D5600 Digital SLR Camera Black + AF-P 18-55mm VR + AF- P 70-300mm ED VR Twin Lens Kit x 1' Only to then receive an email afterwards saying'i Katie, your order has been processed. It is due for collection tomorrow. Your 70-300mm lens will be shipped separately from another depot'. Followed by 'e lens will likely take longer, it's coming from our Manchester depot that's in the process of reopening since the Covid-19 Lockdown'. I was of course not happy with this at all. I ordered a bundle and was told my shipment, including everything was out for delivery and delivered the following day - which obviously wasn't true. I then went on to ask how long, nothing was said about this when I first ordered, just that it would be delivered the following day and that is when I'd expect it! They then offered me to cancel the order, I didn't want to at this stage as I wanted to give them a chance. They then randomly tried to call my phone in which I sent an email telling them not to call unless I requested a phone call. Aaron then replied that he tried to call but I didn't answer(because I didn't request a call as I mentioned to them) but again told me that the camera and kit lens will be delivered tomorrow and that I will have to wait for the extra lens later in the week/ 2-3 days.(This was on Monday 13th July.) I let him know I didn't want to cancel and why it wasn't outlined on his website that it wouldn't be coming as a bundle. Apparently this was an unexpected issue and apologised for the inconvenience caused. I asked 'S'what can be done about that as a fault on your part? I ordered thinking it was all coming together as I wasn't told otherwise until after I purchased!' They told me they couldn't do anything about this as I was notified as soon as they knew, and offered to cancel for me and that I should understand due to the current situation.(Absolutely, although I should have been notified before ordering that this wasn't even located in the same warehouse and would be posted separately!) I told them 'I work in online services myself and I ensure to highlight on my website that Covid wil have affected my delivery times'. This was not highlighted anywhere on their website and stated that they're still operating as normal and if ordered before 2PM then it will be next day. I ordered late Sunday evening so obviously I wasn't expecting my item until Tuesday anyway. Aaron then went on to tell me that he is the cheapest UK retailer and that he is sure that was factored into my decision to order from him - completely unnecessary as I mentioned that one of the main reasons I ordered from them was the next day delivery! His emails got pretty unprofessional from here... 'You made the comparison, I simply provided additional information'.
So Tuesday came and I received my tracking details for my camera only via DHL. I checked this and was estimated to be with me by 4:30PM. It got pretty late and the tracking wasn't updating, so I emailed them at 7:06PM asking what was going on. I mentioned that they told me it would be here tomorrow and stayed in all day for it not to be delivered. Aaron got back to me saying that I have misunderstood and it is out for delivery and will be with me today. I then received a phone call off a private number. I answered this. It was Aaron... he spoke to me in a very aggressive tone telling me I have misunderstood and that I need to stop emailing them and wait for the camera to be delivered. This turned into a pretty severe argument where I became very distressed with multiple witnesses in the house at the time listening to how Aaron was speaking to me. He then said ''should understand that we have no control over delivery as you have your own dog candle making business'. How did he know this? I questioned this and he laughed at me and told me that he has ways to find stuff out based on the technology they have! I then asked if he had taken my personal information to search me on Facebook(as I don't have a website and this is where I advertise my items) he then said of course, we have every right to investigate you if we have concerns that you are a fraudster?! Anyway, the conversation carried on, as many others have said - Aaron is a very frustrating person, he does NOT let you get a word in and refuses to listen to any point you have or to anything you say at all for that matter. If you say something he doesn't like he then gets VERY angry. It ended with me hanging up.
After the phone call and checked my tracking. It now said that the driver was unable to locate my address!(never had this issue before). I emailed Aaron about this, asking if I now have the right to ask what is going on. He replied saying he will chase them tomorrow. I emailed back 'Ver'distressed and all you could do was laugh. Cancel everything, I don't want anything from your company' in which he replied saying he cannot recall the package and that he agrees he could have handled the call differently and apologised - not good enough. The way he spoke to me was disgusting. Calling me stange, weird and laughing at me a lot of the time. He then continued to push the blame onto everybody else but themselves and they will deliver it for me tomorrow. The address wasn't incorrect - if they couldn't find me on that day, how would they be able to find me the day after? Anyway, I rang the next morning, apologised for getting frustrated on the previous phone call(which really was not my fault at all) just to keep the peace and he told me that he was going to harass the DHL driver all day to ensure it gets to me, it did.
Now the lens... that was meant to arrive on the Thursday, but of course - it didn't. They told me Royal Mail have issues with the package and that they will get me an update as soon as they can - I told them it wasn't good enough but they replied saying it will be with me on Monday! A whole week after I made an order for NEXT DAY DELIVERY. They said they'll be in touch in regards to a good will gesture. Monday came and the lens was delivered with a 48 hour service label on my next day delivery item? I rang and questioned them about this for them to tell me that they used next day and they don't know what I am on about - it wasn't their mistake even though you can clearly see that this has been booked in and printed by the company themselves. They offered me a 64GB SD card, I refused this and said I didn't need it. Aaron asked if there is anything else I would need of the same value and I said they only other thing I need is a tripod and they have none on their site, in which he replied 'I will ask our team to get hold of a tripod for you'. Dodgy. No thank you. I can purchase a tripod myself. I let them know I will be leaving my review of my experience with this company and that people need to know what to expect when ordering from them. Aaron replied - Please refrain from threatening us. You should be commending our service instead of attempting to blackmail us. You can follow through with your threat and we react accordingly. We have zero tolerance of extortion.(Aaron loves this word, I have been accused of trying to extort him since this started - how, I don't know but it's actually pretty amusing considering I am just leaving a review of my experience and have ALL evidence saved). I think the only threat which was made was from Aaron here. I called Aaron. He spoke with me and a few other members of my family, not letting them speak and very aggressively. I told him I wanted to return the camera but he said he wasn't going to accept the return.
Over the next few days I had no contact with him and I am not accusing him of anything but I received 3 phone calls from different numbers and when calling them back they claimed they didn't ever call me. I just find this strange as I never have had this problem before with strangers calling me, especially not this often. I then received an email saying 'We've seen your fake reviews and it seems we were correct at your attempt for extortion. We will be reacting accordingly unless it's removed within the hour'. Of course nothing happened because this was just another harassing email from Aaron as I made NO review. This is the only one I have made and it will not be being removed as people need to have a think about whether the discounted price is worth the STRESS. Please just order from somewhere like Argos or John Lewis! I wish I did.
I just want to add - I think Aaron runs this business alone, from home. Waits for your money to be in his account and then orders your item from elsewhere. I requested to speak with 'Sarah' another person from this company and it took a while for her to get onto the phone in which she had no idea who I was, sounded about 12 years old and quickly hung up on me when I started asking questions. Strange.
Another additional bit of information I want to share. As soon as I posted this review, Aaron made an order under my name for a £1,499.99 lens. This is now going to become a police matter, PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAMMER.
6 DAYS after receiving the camera during the Christmas holidays and after trying to register its warranty with Canon and being told by Canon's official helpline that the serial number is not recognised by them, we contacted the seller and he is angrily refusing a return and a refund.
We received the camera 7 days after purchasing it by Royal Mail, not DPD, and when we attempted a return 6 days later we realised his 'no quibble' 14 day return promise is a lie as he will not accept a return no matter what. This is in breach of consumer rights law.
We received the camera in a damaged box with no seal and with a sticky, dirty patch on the lid as if a contents list sticker had been removed. There was no CD-Rom software in the box and Canon told us that all their products come with it as we already knew from our previous Canon purchases from other retailers. Upon questioning, this seller said they remove all the CD-Roms from the boxes because the discs are of date. Weird: we still rather have all the components, even if the software is out of date, than items strangely missing and the original product and box having been tampered with.
Second red flag: things inside the box looked repacked which made us think it might be a previous return or an ex-display item. We tried a couple of shots and at least we saw the camera was functioning.
Third red flag: after the Christmas holidays we contacted Canon to register the warranty with them but the serial number is not recognised and it is actually non-compliant with EU Canon products. In this situation (i. E. an import camera), Canon warned us that a warranty would be valid for 1 year, not 2 as claimed on seller's website.
Fourth red flag: we checked the real name of NEXTDADEAL.com with Company's House and they are not a currently trading company but a dormant company which raises an entire new minefield of potential problems and alarm bells regarding product aftercare, etc.
Fifth red flag: we contacted the seller feeling hugely uncomfortable with the number of irregular issues found. We asked him if he is selling grey stock but he has not given us an answer yet. Instead, he talks over you as he doesn't want to hear your more than legitimate points of concern and reasons why, as a consumer, you want to request a return. He simply shouts at you in the most unprofessional manner as he clearly has no logical justification for his odd trading practices and standards.
As stated, he is now refusing a return to us just 6 days after delivery but he keeps on changing his reason why he will not accept it:
REASON 1: he asked how many shutter clicks we had carried out on the camera because after clicking the shutter it is not regarded as new any more. We explained that we only clicked to see if the camera was actually in working order after receiving it in a damaged, unsealed box that didn't look new. However, we have not USED the camera and it hasn't left our home. Nevertheless, clicking on the camera shutter counts for this individual as not new anymore (he refused to specify how many clicks render a camera not new, he seemed to want to hear a figure from us first to then say that that was a number beyond what he would accept for a return). For about 40 minutes on the phone, he became fixated with the SHUTTER CLICKS, which made us think that this is what HE uses to check how much the cameras he sources and stocks have been previously been used. We explained it was only a handful of clicks, less than 30. Which led to:
REASON 2: he would now not accept a return because, according to him, we only purchased the camera to test it. First, that is the most ridiculous thing to say (you dont spend £450 to test a camera, you go to a high street shop without having to spend any money first to test a product without the obligation to buy) and second, we had already used that Canon model before (we own 5 Canon cameras) and didn't need a test. We only tested if it was working as this particular item looked not new and it was not an unsealed product as you get from a newly factory packed camera.
He then moved on to REASON 3: he would not accept a return now because we had changed our mind about the camera. No, alas, we have not changed our mind, we still want that camera model and we will be paying a bit more to purchase it from John Lewis as soon as he has issued our returns note and we can send it back to him. What we don't want is the one he sent to us in a damaged box, without all the components and without an EU compliant serial number. It is not brand new and it is not as described, that is our reason why.
Under consumer law and by obligation from this seller's own promise to customers, we are entitled to an honest return and full refund of an unused product returned to them in the condition it was received in. Yet he is refusing for all kinds of outlandish reasons, simply making them up as he goes along.
Beware, he may sound polite and accommodating on a pre-sales phone call as he did when he spoke to me reassuring me that a return within 14 days was not a problem at all if needed. Post-sales it is a totally different story, you will be left out of cash with a dodgy product and spending days trying to get a lawless retailer to comply with his legal obligations. We have seen his replies to other negative reviews where he accuses customers trying to exercise their consumer rights of attempting extortion on him, when the only person guilty of extortion and manipulation is himself.
Do not buy from them or you will be stuck with grey stock that you can't get rid of because they will refuse you a return. Pay a bit more and get the real thing.
I bought a Canon 250d but didn't use it and we wish to return it 6 days after receipt afyer being told by Canon that its serial mumber is not recognised. Following a refusal from the seller, I posted a negative personal experience review on Trustpilot and here. I have started getting an avalanche of phone calls (can't even block them as it is a private number) in the middle of the night on Saturday from the seller insulting me. Now he is threatening me with legal action.
Ordered a camera and they claim next day delivery all over their site and on the order form. When the camera did not arrive a couple of days later, and I still hadn't received either a shipping notice or the camera. I emailed them and was told that Royal Mail hadn't picked it up the day before and that it was definitely picked up that afternoon.
The next day goes by, still no camera or tracking, send off another email and was told it had definitely been sent and it would be with me soon. The next morning I received a notice saying that Royal Mail had registered the delivery, (the time of which was the previous afternoon, not a couple days before as they had promised), and the package hadn't yet been handed over to them.
This was getting tedious as I would now not receive the camera till after the weekend, so I emailed again to cancel the order. If they couldn't make next day delivery and lying about something as simple as delivery, then I didn't hold out much hope of getting support if the camera arrived broken. I was asked to wait 24 hours and then they'd cancel the order and issue a refund. I waited 24 hours and the camera still hadn't arrived and nor was there any change to the tracking status, with Royal Mail still showing they hadn't received the parcel. So I emailed again and was told that they'd cancel the order and refund me, six days after ordering.
Almost three days later and I hadn't been refunded (nor had the tracking status changed) and I get an email from them cancelling the refund claiming that Royal Mail had 'found' the package. In reality they'd simply ignored me and gone ahead and still sent that parcel as the both the tracking number and the delivery label on the package itself both list the time they received the package as 25 minutes before I was contacted telling me that they'd cancelled the refund... Hmmm
I refused the delivery and still had to fight to claim the refund.
This company is joke, they are clearly a drop shipper who string UK customers along for high end orders to arrive from overseas before passing them on. Almost every email was signed off by a different person, but obviously written by the same person. I wouldn't recommend anybody buy anything from them.
I have emails and screenshots to verify the above times and dates
