I was trying to find a particular dress to wear at my step-daughter's wedding...and even called the designer Mon Cheri trying to find the dress... I was told it would be available in August! I needed it in less than a week. So I looked online to see who sold Mon Cheri. Designer said I was looking for a needle in a haystack. I contacted Danny at New York Dress and he was AMAZING! He went out of his way to help me and called around and found my dress! The EXACT dress that I wanted. And I got it in TWO days! It was a size too large but I've had it altered and it is just perfect. I cannot thank Danny enough! 5 stars all the way! Or in this case 10 stars! Just a wonderful experience during a stressful time. THANK YOU THANK YOU!
Omg! How did I not see all these reviews before buying from this company? The pictures of the dresses are all fake! The dress looked nothing like the pic and looked like it was counterfeit and very cheap quality. Now I can't get them to pick the phone or get back to me after I sent pictures like they asked in an email. I was just told the email didn't include pictures when it rightfully did! I have 6 days to get my money back or go spend more money to find another dress before the wedding! Just horrible!
I ordered three dresses for my daughter's wedding, hoping that one would work. Although they were all beautiful and well made, none were what I wanted. I went to return them within 10 days (the policy says 7 days), and they did return part of my money. I paid $1286 and they only refunded $984. The restocking fee was 15% and then they charged over 100 more for what? So it cost me $302 to try on a few dresses, none that I wanted to keep. I will stick with Amazon next time, or a company that has a better return policy.
1. Appearance and material quality - looks and feel like cheap polyester
2. The dress was not packed adequately- all jumbled up
3. Beads were missing and some were loose - even the address label came off
4. The size was incorrect - I took a size 4 but it fits a size 8
The design is fabulous but its a shame that the end result isn't reflective of all the efforts made by the dress architecture. Mr Kourosh Babain.
I suggest that only dresses under $400 should be bought from this site. If you have a big event, this is not the place to scout for an attire.

As for the size, every designer has different sizing and we recommend you take a look at the size chart to find your perfect fit. I was so disappointed with this site. The dress arrived completely wrong size. The measurements were 4-6 inches off. I sent the dress back as I couldn't even zip it up. Their customer service claims that it is to size so it is my word against theirs. I got a store credit. I tried buying other items, same result every single time. I spend over $600 and have only $200 of it left in store credit and I never ever wish to purchase anything from them ever again. The only reason why I give them 2 stars is because the quality of their product is a step up from Chinese sites... if you are lucky enough to get the product that fits.

We provide size charts for every designer and dress and every designer has different sizing. We recommend you measure yourself and compare it to the size chart - if you are in between sizes, we recommend sizing up so that you could have it taken in, as it is always easier to have something taken in rather than taken out. The website was great, they sent the dress promptly. I did not care for the dress, although it fit well. When I went to send it back, turns out they only give store credit, and my next choice dress was from another store. Didn't have any use for a $450 store credit, so they charged me a fee, plus I had to pay the return shipping. "Though our return policy indicates that we only accept returns for store credit, we will make a one-time exception and authorize a refund only less a 15% handling fee of $67.50. Your refund will be in the amount of $382.50." So it cost me $67 plus shipping to try the dress on. Much worse treatment than you get from department stores. I'm going to stick with Dillards from now on.
After seeing this review posted, New York Dress contacted me and offered a full refund for the dress. I am very satisfied with this response, so my cost for trying on the dress is now only the shipping from and back to the company, which is reasonable to me. I appreciate their followup and the full refund did in fact post yesterday to my credit card.
Tip for consumers:
Be careful ordering from this site, and understand that there may be a lengthy process involved if you wish to make a full return, rather than a return for store credit.

Ordered a dress - took 12 days to receive it. After following their size guidelines, I ordered my standard size but it was too small and did not measure up to the guidelines posted. They informed me that if they did not receive it in 7 days (not business) that they would refuse receipt of the dress and I would receive no credit. With such a slow turn-around time, I had to buy a dress locally for the ball which I was attending, and now I am waiting again for the replacement. In the future, I'll rely on a hands-on experience in a local establishment.

My prom is in a couple of months and I wanted to order the evening by allure dress A319 but all these reviews are seriously put offing, I live in the UK and If there is a faults with the dress as people say. What should I do has anyone actually had a problem with ordering this exact dress? And if they send me the wrong size or colour or dress in general can I get it changed or get my money back. Please help me!

I ordered the dress April 9th. They said it would be on back order until May 7th. On this day, When I typed in the order number on the website, they claimed it was shipped. Three weeks later on May 28th, I still had not received it. I called and they said that they were sorry but they didn't send it yet. I made it clear that I wanted the dress to be shipped THAT DAY, and they sent me a tracking number. I received the dress (FINALLY) on June 8th. I read on these websites that they were sent knockoffs, however, I received the original dress. It fit me perfectly (though I reccomend you actually measure yourself and match it to the size chart!) and I am in love with the dress. It took two months, but my prom is June 24th so I'm alright. In summation, BE SURE THEY GIVE YOU A TRACKING NUMBER. Otherwise they'll just pawn it off as an "oops." Order your dress WELL in advance.

Orders will generally ship out within 5-7 business from when you place your order with standard ground shipping. Once shipped standard ground shipping may take 3-10 business days to reach you depending on your location.
