I was trying to find a particular dress to wear at my step-daughter's wedding...and even called the designer Mon Cheri trying to find the dress... I was told it would be available in August! I needed it in less than a week. So I looked online to see who sold Mon Cheri. Designer said I was looking for a needle in a haystack. I contacted Danny at New York Dress and he was AMAZING! He went out of his way to help me and called around and found my dress! The EXACT dress that I wanted. And I got it in TWO days! It was a size too large but I've had it altered and it is just perfect. I cannot thank Danny enough! 5 stars all the way! Or in this case 10 stars! Just a wonderful experience during a stressful time. THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Omg! How did I not see all these reviews before buying from this company? The pictures of the dresses are all fake! The dress looked nothing like the pic and looked like it was counterfeit and very cheap quality. Now I can't get them to pick the phone or get back to me after I sent pictures like they asked in an email. I was just told the email didn't include pictures when it rightfully did! I have 6 days to get my money back or go spend more money to find another dress before the wedding! Just horrible!

Omg! How did I not see all these reviews before buying from this company? The pictures of the dresses are all fake! I have 6 days to get my money back or go spend more money to find another dress before the wedding! Just horrible!

I purchased 2 dress for a sweet sixteen party since January 17th and has not received it as yet. I contact this company several times and they are taking no responsibility for the package. This is unacceptable. I am going to post my experience on every social media for the stress they caused.

I'm so upset and disappointed at the service or lack there of NYD. I ordered a Portia and Scarlet Danielle dress for my daughter's 21st and it was to arrive within 2 weeks and after waiting for nearly 4 weeks with not even any correspondence from them for the reason even after I sent two emails. As I lived in Australia, I had to stay up at 12 pm to try to call them and after being disconnected twice. I was told by a sales lady Nicole that my dress is damaged and can't be delivered. To say that I'm disappointed is an understatement, now I have no dress for my daughter's big celebration.

I had a terrible experience with NY Dress. I ordered a wedding dress from them to try on but it didn't fit and they're now telling me that they don't allow returns. I wouldn't order anything from them given their terrible customer service.

I bought this dress from this designer that I know 100% they are good quality dresses but I received my dress with the cheapest quality that the zipper came off as soon as I touched it as you see the dress is velvet But surprise my dress was a cheap material I contact everyone to help but they refused even they advertise for something and they will send you something else so disappointing do not recommend this website at all it is a scam

This company is not accepting any returns - I have been searching for gowns for an upcoming formal wedding for my girls and have been so warry of non big store sites and now I know why I now have $1800 of gowns that can't get returned! Absolutely ridiculous that almost a year into Covid and they are still blaming no returns on that.

Tip for consumers:
I paid for express shipping a week ago and still haven't received all the gowns...what a waste the whole thing

I had ordered this dress about 15days a go or more, I paid extra money to have it delivered earlier which it didn't happened, not only the delay problem but the dress was bad quality and deciving picture too. Im not saying that because I want to return it either.

Made an appointment online, received text the day before to confirm the appointment, showed up at our assigned appointment time to be told they were "in a meeting". Asked if we could come back in an hour. They had my contact information since they texted me the day before. A $50 Uber ride and the inconvenience put a bad taste in our mouth so we cancelled our appointment.

I wish I did see all these reviews before my purchase. As Amy A. I ordered dresses on 4th of July and was promised to receive them during 2 weeks. But I have never received any of them. Called to company today and got the same answer from Vidya that the dresses were lost in transit and I will never receive them. The worst customer service ever. The worst company ever!

This company sells fake dresses from China. They have no customer service or return policy.

I purchased a dress from NYC on the night of 4/5 and cancelled my order on Saturday 4/7. I received a standard email from NYC informing me that I was being charged a 25% restocking fee even though the dress had not shipped.

However, if I take ownership of the dress and return it, I will be charged 15% restocking fee. It makes no sense to be charged more if the dress hasn't shipped. I called several times and was told this is company policy. I was informed via email that the dress shipped yesterday 04/09. I have concerns that this is a scam and I will not be refunded for my purchase. Something to be said for going to a reputable company like Saks, etc.

The reason we charge a 25% cancellation fee is because this is the fee the designer charges us to cancel an order. If you receive the dress and decide you would like to make a return, we charge a 15% restocking fee because once a dress is purchased, we can no longer return it to the designer and must hold it on our stock. We always give the option of an exchange if a return is not something a customer would like to do.

After 12 days of ordering my dress, I sent an email to check what happened and turns out they don't have the size!

Called costumer service and they helped with nothing and gave me a refund!

Worst customer care I have ever experienced!

I purchased a dress for my son's wedding on April 24. It arrived April 30 and did not fit. I returned it May1 via USPS (big mistake)! It is now May 17 and I have not been credited yet for my return. Also, be aware that they charge you a restocking fee and you have to pay to ship it back. If you call and ask if they have received the dress return, they ask for your shipping tracking number that you paid for. If you do not have it you just have to wait it out. I called today and they said they refunded me 3 days ago and I have yet to see the money in my account.
If at all possible, shop at a store that pays for shipping, free returns and does not charge a restocking fee, like Neiman Marcus, they are the best!

Just ordered from here and the dress was bad quality and the back of the dress wasn't seamed right. I returned immediately the next day and they still charged me 15%. What a horrible experience. The dress was horrible and still they charge you just for trying it. Worst experience ever.

CANADIAN CUSTOMERS BEWARE - purchased a dress for $1000, expecting to be charged for taxes only, got charged for duties which are 18% of the final price so in other words, I got taxed 36% yeah money wasted - there are also processing fees which amounted to $12. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY - THEY HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE

Ordered next-day shipping. Was made aware after I did not receive a confirmation # that 1 day shipping did not include 7-8 day PROCESSING TIME! FALSE ADVERTISING made me believe dress would arrive on time. After I paid an additional $20 for next day air, I was told me size had been SOLD OUT. I had to settle for a DIFFERENT SIZE. I couldn't be more upset,... was not even given a tracking number after I paid from next day air shipping. Had to beg for someone to find me a tracking number. I can't believe people can act so unprofessionally. Don't even know where my dress is/if it will arrive on time.

I bought a dress that costed me 750$ and paid 242$ in customs that I was not informed about when I placed the order. The dress did not fit, I was measured by a professional before ordering the dress and checked the size chart before ordering however the size was not true. The dress material was so cheap not worth the price. I sent back the dress for a refund, they emailed saying that the dress will be returned to me as it was worn! I did not touch the dress, I only tried it on for 2 minutes and was extremely disappointed, I had to buy a new one last minute to attend the event I bought the dress for which also costed a fortune as I did not have any other options! They are the worst company, the pictures they have for the dresses online are fake! The dress did not look like the picture not even color or length wise. DO NOT BUY FROM NYD

A SCAM! Buying from this website is the worst idea ever! I ordered 4 dresses on the 4th of July sale to be shipped within a max of 7-10 business days. Few days later, they inform me that one of the dresses are out of stock (the one with the highest discount obviously) and they return the money. After 20 days I receive 2 out of the 4 dresses with no explanation of where is the 3rd missing dress.
After almost 1 month of the purchase they inform me that the dress was lost in transit (BECAUSE I'M SURE IT WASN'T IN THEIR STOCK AT THE FIRST PLACE)... IT'S A TOTAL SCAM... holding my money for a month for a dress that is not there! How can the dress be lost in transit and never be found!

I placed my order 3 weeks prior to the event I needed to wear the dress to. Weeks go by and I still don't have my dress. I finally contacted them by email and got a reply saying that my package got lost in transit and that they were trying to get me another in my size, but that the designer didn't have my size anymore. This is three days before my event. I know I should have contacted them sooner, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited a long time thinking that my package was on it's way. Honestly New York Dress should have contacted me earlier too to let me know what happened. They offered to take 15% off of a dress of my choosing and to have it rush shipped, but that's not going to cut it because I had my heart set on that exact dress that I could have had in my arms right now if I had ordered it on another dress site (there are three that have the same dress and in my size). Now I have to pay and extra $100 something dollars in rush shipping fees to receive the dress I originally wanted, but from a different dress site.

They are the worst company ever. I purchased a dress off of their site for a special occasion. The dress didn't fit correctly, so I wanted to return it. They made a huge deal about not giving me my money back, instead giving me store credit. I fought with them because I knew I'd never order from them again, so they finally agreed to give me SOME money back (not the entirety of what I paid for my dress). I returned the dress, and a month later I still do not have the money they owe me.

HORRIBLE! I ordered a $500 dress and it came with a broken zipper and the top of the dress was a size 4 but the bottom was like a size 8. Measurements were ALL off, it made absolutely no since how it could be that messed up. All they can do is give me a 10% alteration credit (they already don't do refunds). Total BS and they were rude about the whole situation, DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE!

I am never going to order from here again! I ordered a dress for prom, and the quality looked really poor. I returned it and ended up losing $35! And got store credit in return. When i wanted to return it back to my card THERE TELLING ME that they have to take more money away if i wanted the money back. Are you serious?!?! That's not fair, and that's not right.
They may say easy return, but really it may be easy to return, but also easy for them to keep taking money away.
Never ordering there again.

I ordered my daughters homecoming dress on a Friday afternoon. I get an email 5 days later in such an informal letter stating " your dress you ordered is not available danny " nothing else! I have since emailed "danny" back and emailed the company from the main website with no contact back. I have also called he company every day last week and this week and it just says "I'm sorry the party you have called is unavailable". It is now a week from said email, and when I click on status on my account it just says refunded. I have no refund in my account. I smell scam and fraudulent company! Stay far away!
