“I used to love Yahoo News”

Andrew p.
5/3/21

It was actually great reading the biased garbage that Yahoo puts out because the comments section would always make my day with hysterical jokes, common sense rebuttals, & faith-in-humanity-restoring commentary. But since they have taken down the comments section it's simply not funny, insightful, or interesting anymore. It is a propaganda machine through and through. Ironically, even though what they're doing is obvious as can be, it probably still works. I will not be looking at Yahoo News any longer for fear that I might become compelled to throw molotov cocktails at armed police officers to save black people from Donald Trump.

“Eternal Liberal Democrat bias//NOT a NEWS Site/A Liberal Democratic PROPAGANDA Site!”

Fred G.
1/22/24

Eternal Liberal Democrat bias//NOT a NEWS Site (a harvester of other real news sites)/A Liberal Democratic PROPAGANDA Site Only! It should be removed from the world wide web and never allowed back. Their one-way word & thought monitors reflect the sites disregard for any truth that conflicts with their obvious agenda and the senseless liberal lemmings continue to slobber on and slobber on with the 24/7 assistance of the Yahoo Liberal Word & Thought paid police.

News that glaringly sensational about "racially motivated" contentions and promotion of subculture. WIth the Huffington Post and other radical Leftwing article outlets, including Yahoos own editorial submissions. The Point: To get you perceive that "everyone" is against your grandparents general way of thinking and sense of patriotism. The SKY IS FALLING. Because of YOU and your Bill of Rights, Christian world view, carbon guzzling Cars and well, just because your a capitalist jerk...

Tip for consumers:
Ditch it.

Yahoo used to be a source that I could use to check the accuracy and B. S. but that went out the window sometime back when they started publishing lies given to them from paid sources. But the thing that really turned me against was when they decided to "Discontinue" user comments. If you are not ready to hear ALL comments - good and bad, you have No business posting "opinions" or comments from ANYONE! Obviously your "Paid" Subscribers? Have precedence with this joke of a policy. Do not refer to, or count on anything you may get from this Bought and Paid for Joke of a site.

Tip for consumers:
Yahoo just like many, if not most sites out there that profess to tell "Truth" in news are bought and paid for by the Corporate interests and influenced by crooked politicians. (order of the day these days)
Do not believe or follow any of their paid Crap they feed us these days. A friendly warning from an Old Timer that sees.

Always finding the most negative ways to frame articles based on left wing views.

Also playing on people's fears of stock market crashes and economic plague, they should be ashamed of themselves. In a time when people need to come together. Yahoo looks at a chance to profit at any cost to society.

Shame on you!

Yahoo news is great for the latest celeb gossip including the latest bikini pictures of your favorite reality TV stars. Where it falls woefully short is in actual news. Yahoo! Regularly promotes party politics and tops headlines with opinion pieces disguised as facts. This daily and constant barrage of slanted information is clearly intended at its most innocent to tilt the political narrative or possibly at its most sinister intentionally mislead the public. Yahoo! News headlines are not a credible source of news but rather a sounding board or echo chamber for those leaning or far left.

They do add a few Fox News articles that support fringe right wing ideals, but rarely feature stories from center right. Seems done to drive narrative that conservatives all believe fringe ideations.

My comments have been mostly anti-Trump. I am only speaking the truth. I wish nothing more than having a credible president that hasn't turned the executive branch into a circus.
Whenever I post a comment, it disappears. I must have been put on a list. Whatever happened to free speech? I thought this was a forum for people who care about their government. I am not far left or far right. What gives?

I keep my opinions to myself for the most part, but it does get kind of annoying when everything is so biased. In today's world, it can be said to be an expectation to a degree, but I at least expect things to be shown from both extremes. Today's media in general seems to be meant to garner clicks and sway moreso than it is to inform. I am honestly disappointed by all of it.

I enjoyed Yahoo News for years, but now the comments section is gone. No need to visit Yahoo now. Disappointed and missing the wide range of opinions and perspectives.

It is a very painful experience being invited by a headline, finding the teaser and thenhaving to find the NEXT button to continue the story,,,, It seems it is all about advertising and not the news story. Also we dont all have the liberty of reading such a bunch of unrelated subjects. Seriously it is insulting and frustrating...

When delving into today's news stories, it seems, too often, that the meaning of objectivity has been lost and the craft of observing and reporting facts without bias is practically nonexistent. Unfortunately, Yahoo News has proven to be no exception.

Your recent posting of the PROTOCOLS of the British empire. WOW, this is just getting better. You democrats see nothing, hear nothing and know nothing, then you just make EVERYTHING UP. YOU see everyday as a protocol, "oh this isn't the way things are supposed to be done". Yah, right, that's EXACTLY WHY we are in the mess we are in and TRUMP has to get us out of it. YES I'M TALKING ABOUT NOBAMA, that man was and is as useless as adding mosquitoes to an already malaria infested area. Do EVERYONE A FAVOR, stop with your opinion and report the news, better yet JUST SHUT UP.

Been using Yahoo since I was in the Navy back in 2001. Always my first choice for round about news because I'd check my email and see what topics were hot. Ever since Trump got elected Yahoo switched gears and well full SJW Liberal Propaganda. Then users started calling them and the articles they choose to use in their feeds and as a response they completely took down their comments section citing "safety concerns" LOL I couldn't believe it. So once the comments went away there was literally zero reason to read articles.

Why would anyone let themselves be subjected to propaganda without a means for rebuttal. They were getting called out daily by readers and obviously found it wasn't good for businesses.

It's odd they would alienate their most prolific users by censoring comments. People may not have agreed with Yahoo's bias but at least they counted as impressions and clicks for advertisements. By removing comments, you just lost all these potential impressions. Must be getting their money from donors now. Shrugs. Makes no difference to me. Just don't use them anymore.

For the record, I believe they have EVERY right to remove comments and do whatever they want. It's their business. However, as customers, we all know WHY they were removed. To censor any opinions against their propaganda. The claim that it was for safety reasons was ludicrous at best. That's fine. I still use the email but I have ZERO incentive to use the news.

End of an era. RIP YAHOO 1994-2020

I used to really enjoy reading Yahoo's news site. It was one of those places that I could find some interesting articles, and they send me down a rabbit trail of a couple of hours of reading!;-) Recently though, it seems like every headline that looks interesting ends up being a video. I don't want to watch a video! I want to read! Often I don't have sound handy at a school computer terminal, or I don't want to let my workmates know that I found an interesting news piece. Please bring back more articles, and I will spend more time reading them.

Somehow, I feel this is too "gimmicky" and the layout isn't as appealing to me as other news sites. The text is too small, spacing between characters is not that good. Typography... Meh. Some of the news articles too aren't that much interesting. It's not very user-friendly either.
