The company has a mixed reputation, with some customers appreciating its extensive library of content and user-friendly interface, which enhances the viewing experience. However, numerous complaints highlight significant dissatisfaction with rising subscription costs, technical issues like slow loading times, and customer service inadequacies. Many users express frustration over billing problems and the perceived decline in content quality, particularly regarding Netflix originals. Overall, while the platform remains popular for its variety, the growing concerns about service reliability and customer support suggest a need for improvement to retain loyal customers.

Always watching movies on Netflix! Love it for no viruses
I am one of the few subscribers that doesn't stream and watches DVDs that are mailed to me. I am on the 3 at a time plan. Up until 3-4 months ago, the discs would arrive the day after they were mailed, allowing me to watch up to 6 a week. Now, it takes 2 days to receive them, and I am lucky if I can get 4 in a week. They changed the location the discs were shipped from "in state" to the next state over. Netflix didn't bother to notify me of this prior to doing it.
Have had Netflix since their 2nd year of existence and couldn't be more pleased. With costs of movie theater tickets going up, up, up it's wonderful to have an alternative. Initially we used Roku and still do on the bedroom TV. Also. We stream thru our Smart TV, as well as, our laptops and IPad. They have thousands of available choices. Love it and the price!
3 stars because they jacked up their monthly fee. It was $7.99 and month and now it is $9.99 a month. Ridiculous.
I tried netflix on their free trial and found many of the movies I wanted were only onDVD so after the trail was over I moved on then they sent me an offer for another free trial which was just a link to re activate my membership so be careful of this bait and switch by them
Netflix has become part of my life now. Can't live without it
The website, that is. And once you are set up Netflix is the bomb-diggity! (raise my rate again and I'm OUT!)
Very Good, they are missing a few movies that I'd like to see including Stalingrad(1993) and Downfall(2004)
I have had a netflix account for quite awhile, it has even replaced my regular television service. I only regret that their browsing function is not as transparent as it could be, which seems to be designed with the intention of hiding the fact that they do not have as many shows that I actually want to watch as they could. It's also a problem that they regularly remove shows from netflix before I have a chance to watch them.
Awesome service. I adore House of Cards with Kevin Spacey. Thank you for this!
Netflix originals are beast. They cycle movies in and out a lot but there is always something entertaining.
Always a good variety of films and netflix originals love it. Telly can be boring thank god for netflix
I use Netflix to watch things with friends around the world. It's great for that. However, one thing that is so annoying is the "Are you still watching this title?" message that interrupts playing shows. If I am paying for Netflix and I have it on, what does it matter if I am actively sitting there watching it? I work from home and have it playing in the background often. But, I constantly have to get up and click that I'm still watching it. Why? Just let it play! I'm so sick of it, that I'm looking for alternatives.
I love Netflix the movies could be a little faster but they are working with the post office to handle that and I had a rude representative and the manager apologized and fixed it they are great!
Netflix used to be the BEST streaming service. Generally speaking, their servers are the quickest and the user interface is the friendliest out of all that I used (HBO Max, Hulu, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, etc.) But their content is straight up trash. I respect anyone who wants to disagree, but as a younger millennial (currently in my early 30s), Netflix's agenda of pushing their woke content is becoming ridiculous.
First they took away their review system and star ratings years back when I used to use them. That was helpful on what I could watch. Now, they don't provide that option. Then they had the thumbs up/down and they ditched that too. So everyday, they want to push their own crappy content to you and their endless amount of TV shows.
They don't even tell you what movies are foreign and don't make it clear what languages are default so when you start playing, you realize you have to watch subtitles. I'm ok with reading subtitles but not everyone is and it's not always convenient.
Their synopsis writing for their selection is terrible. The synopsis doesn't tell you anything about the movie until you actually watch it and waste your time on some stupid story. A lot of them are also poorly written and don't make sense grammatically which is shocking for a billion-dollar company.
Then, because you can't find out what the movie is about or get an idea from other users/ratings, you have to look it up yourself or end up wasting your time watching their pushed content. They also have some of shuffle feature which shuffles their Netflix original and pushes it onto you.
To add insult, they have the audacity to raise their subscription prices when they have absolutely no content. Unless you want to turn something on for background noise or waste your time laughing at how bad a lot of their content on, don't even bother. I unsubscribed almost a year ago and never looked back and I don't miss Netflix at all. I also cancelled Hulu for the same reason and I'm aiming to canceling Prime Video too. Don't let these media companies control you.
FYI: if it weren't for The Witcher (which I heard they're about to butcher also), 1899 and the Jeffrey Dahmer limited series as of late, this company would have nothing to hang on.
Not worth the 8 dollars! They have an awful selection. They don't have Billy madison, happy gilmore, The other women, with Cameron Diaz, and multiple other great comedy movies. You basically get B rate films and tv shows. Whoever is picking their movie selection needs to be fired!
If you receive a subscription as a gift don't suspend your service or it disappears!
Love Netflix! All my favorite movies and shows in one place!
If you're going to raise my price, please raise your quality. There are amazing shows that are originals on this site and they are really great. I highly recommend watching the majority of Netflix original series'. The problem is, they put up A LOT of TV shows that were amazing, but got canceled so it'd be nice to have some sort of closure to that and for them to at least try to pick up some of the shows people are actually asking them to like: Constantine, Survivors, Resurrection, etc... Cliff hanger endings are no fun. Also, the amount of time between the Jessica Jones seasons is too long. Also, you need a better selection of movies... especially horror. The price raise was annoying, but I like the service so I'll keep with it for now. I also was screwed out of a lot of money because of their old DVD plan. They kept mine on even though DVDs had gone out and just kept recharging me over what I should've paid since I NEVER got DVDs from them. If they'd return that extra money, I probably would be giving them a higher review right now.
UPDATE: I have noticed that Netflix is also only putting up one season of shows that have multiple seasons or putting episodes out of order and that is annoying.
Answer: They do not, but he can listen to stand up shows I guess
Answer: Ohh finally someone thats having the same problem... Netflix always blames my Wi-Fi but, I know thats not the problem. Considering canceling.
Netflix offers streaming movies and TV shows in addition to a DVD by mail rental service.
