Don't walk, Run Away from Ryan! Scam Alert
November 27, 2016

Before you read my review, I will give you one bit of advice to save you time by following these instructions:

If you paid for MyShedPlans, immediately call the ClickBank customer service number to get your full refund: *******035

Don't bother contacting MyShedPlans - read everyone else's reviews if you wish to understand why that will get you nothing but simmering outrage.

If you have not yet purchased MyShedPlans but are considering it: DON'T GET SCAMMED, DITCH MYSHEDPLANS!

If you are not yet convinced, read on. Better yet, read all the many other entries that do a much better job of articulating the reasons why you should avoid being easily parted with your money, and your dignity.

So I was looking to build a shed and find plans that included material lists and instructions. I've built things before, but I just needed a guide to help me build a shed quickly and inexpensively.

Finding MyShedPlans seemed too good to be true; 12k shed plans, 3-D renderings, detailed material lists, but wait, there's more! Hundreds of useful guides, woodworking books, and project ideas ranging from birdhouses to bridges. And what was more, was the promise of an easy download and immediate access to boundless amounts of material so I could be right on my way to a sharp new shed.

BUT, it was in fact TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.

I got suckered into the 12k shed plans, only to find myself falling for one of the oldest scammer sales pitches in the book by being up-sold into the add-ons. Before I clicked I did a quick review and the first few sites that popped up had said that it was worth the money to buy the add-on because that is where the real value was (perhaps a review page planted by the good folks of MyShedPlans).

Oh man. I have felt sick all day because I clicked "buy." I FEEL LIKE A TOTAL IDIOT. I KNOW BETTER THAN TO FALL FOR THIS SORT OF CHICANERY. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

I will say the transaction happened smoothly. They took my money and sent me an instant email with a link. So far so good. But then I clicked the link.

Once redirected to the webpage, I found a bewildering list of links, and downloads. Some were redundant, some didn't work. And I kept trying to figure out where the 12k plans were. I thought for what I paid I should be able to plug in my parameters into a query and get something that remotely looked like an organized list of plans that matched my query. But nada. Nothing. Zilch. Just piles of pdf's tucked seemingly haphazardly into folders here and there, listed in not too logical order in links on a webpage.

No guides. Just endless files. And you can't even download the whole mess at once. You have to do it in drips and drabs, thinking, "gee maybe this next folder will have something remotely useful in- crap! I guess I'll try this next one and- oh nuts! Well maybe this one has to - You've gotta be kidding me!" ad infinitum.

Oh and that up-sell that promised 3-D renderings and your own CAD to draw your own plans? Bogus. The rendering program didn't work. The CAD was primitive and grossly overpriced as a freebie, let alone having shelled out some $80 for the whole mess rubs salt into that freshly opened wound.

When you start to look at the plans, you realize some are absurdly out of date, or impossible to read because they are blurred - just like everyone else has reported on this site. What was even more appalling was it appeared most, if not all of what I had purchased, was easily available for free online. Some material looked as though it may have been pilfered - or "borrowed without permission or attribution from educational sites. And much of the "VIP-Premium" content was past its copyright - which is great if you want a children's woodworking book from the 1800's for historical purposes, which I'm sure is a fascinating read, but all that was ultimately meaningless since the sum total of what I downloaded offered nothing of any immediate benefit toward building a shed from a quality, step-by-step plan, with 3-D renderings, Material lists, and best practices, etc to help you build quickly, efficiently, and have something you can use and be proud of. I think the only proprietary plans must the the freebie they give away to entice you to pony up.

Thankfully I discovered this site - if only I had found it before I clicked "buy." But at least I found out that by calling the ClickBank number (*******035), you can speak with a live representative who can initiate a full refund.

Since I just initiated the refund tonight, they said it would take 3-5 business days for the charges to be reversed on my card. So, I am cautiously optimistic that this fool will not be long parted from his money.

Lesson learned. Fool me once...
