MYHOLIDAYS - NEVER AGAIN

It is nearly impossible to make changes to tickets purchased through myhoilidays travel agent!
I bought a return business class ticket from Myhoilidays last month (DXB-CDG) on Qatar Airways for USD2950/-, while I was trying to make change to my outbound sector through the travel agent (myholidays), I was requested to pay USD 3000/- for the change!
I have been travelling around the world purchasing different airlines tickets through travel agents and this is the first time to experience such miserable situation to pay the cost of the initial ticket to make a change in a date, bearing in mind that I do understand that there are always penalties to make a change in a ticket, but it cannot be the cost of a brand new!
Moreover, I have tried to change the ticket to different dates during the course of a year (duration of the ticket) but I always receive a change fee between USD2100 to USD3200!
The travel agent (Myholidays) is stating that it is Qatar Airways who is responsible for the change fee while the Airline is saying that it is the travel agent who applies high fees to cahge!

The conclusion NEVER AGAIN ON MYHOLIDAYS!

On 22nd Oct, I tried to book international flight tickets for my parents. I made couple of failed attempts. After sometime I get a message from the bank that "Your debit card XXXXXX linked to acc. XXXXXXX was used for AED XXXX on Oct 22 2022 2:07AM at MYHOLIDAYS.COM". There was no communication or confirmation from myholidays.com.

On 22nd Oct 11.36 AM, we contacted *******@myholidays.com over email and raised our concern, that we did not get any communication or confirmation of the booking and the amount has been debited from the bank. They kept assuring that the money will be credited back to my account. Multiple communications happened till evening. We then went ahead and booked flight tickets again from 'Make my Trip' for my parents.

On 23rd October at 1.32 AM I get an email that the transaction "Booking ID: MHF*******" has been declined. We kept following up for the refund and they kept saying that it will get credited back. Finally they said they have not received the money and asked me to contact the bank. I raised a dispute with the bank and the bank came back saying the amount is debited and the merchant claimed it. I went back to MY holidays and enquired about the refund. On 28th October, they come back saying the ticket has been booked for 23rd and it's a no show.

1. I did not receive any confirmation or communication from them. My holidays is lying to avoid refunding me my money.
2. We have multiple email communications done on 22nd that we did not get any confirmation.
3. We had multiple chats where we said we did not receive any communication.
4. Why would I book tickets again from make my trip if I had received a confirmation from My holidays.

The company just refuse to return the money. I had discussions multiple times with the managers and they keep repeating in their polished duty free english, If you received email on 28th Oct why didn't you get it on 22nd Oct.

This basically means they have some $#*!ed up systems and customers have bear the loss.

Worst Travel Agent Ever!

My flight booking was rescheduled by the airline and Myholidays accepted the changes without discussing with me first. The changes did not suit my schedule. I requested Myholidays to change the booking dates to suit my schedule again and was informed this would take 7 to 8 hours to complete. After waiting 24 hours, I contacted Myholidays again who then informed me it would take 48 hours to complete the request. After waiting the 48 hours I had not received any feedback, so contacted Myholidays again who informed me that the change request was still being processed. I informed Myholidays that I needed confirmation that the dates were changed to match my schedule, as I needed to pay for my accommodation booking or I would lose this and my whole holiday would have to be cancelled. After a week of me having to contact Myholidays continuously on a daily basis, I requested a call back from the customer service manager. Once he called me, he stated that he was 100% certain that the change would be confirmed within 24 hours of the call... Guess what? Yep, no contact from Myholidays within 24 hours so I was the one contacting them again! This time they informed me that it would take another 10 days to request the change and it was not guaranteed to be accepted! By this time I had lost my accommodation booking and therefore had to cancel the whole holiday due to no other accommodation being available. I requested a full refund from Myholidays who now informed me that this would take 6 to 8 weeks to process! And again was not guaranteed! Again I asked for a call back from the customer service manager. I was told my request would be actioned as a priority and I would be called back urgently. Only to be left waiting for over an hour and contacting customer services again who told me that "urgent" ment within 4 hours!... After finally receiving the call from the manager, I explained the whole situation to him again. He told me once again that it would take approximately 2 months to receive a refund as they would need to get a refund from the airline first! I explained that I paid Myholidays, and not the airline, and therefore Myholidays should immediately provide me my refund. Upon stating this the manager became angry with me and refused to give a refund in a shorter duration. As I explaining to the manager that I would not recommend their company to anyone and would never use their services again, he hung up on me while I was still talking!... Amazing customer services, well done Myholidays! Not only do you not respond to your customers via email, but you also treat them as garbage on the phone!
My friends who booked their holiday through Expedia, and had the same issue as me, managed to get everything sorted within 2 days! So how come after over a week Myholidays were able to do nothing and telling me to wait another 10 days to see if they could change my flights or not, or wait 2 months for a refund?... probably because Expedia are a professional company and Myholidays seem to a very amature attempt at a travel agent!

This is the second awful experience
This is the second bad experience for me with myholidays.com. The company solved my issued last time after I had a bad experience, and promised to avoid the mistake in the future. I modified my review and increased their rate thinking that it was individual behavior. Now I'm getting an awful experience with some guys in the company. I booked my tickets with Turkish airlines and requested to cancel it on March 27, and since this date I kept receiving emails from my holidays.com like they are following my request, my request is under process, revert is pending from the supplier end, we are checking with the airlines and so on until April 29. On April 29, I received a very long call from myholidays.com during which Mr. Mohd Hamza was contacting the Airlines and the suppliers and confirmed with them the refundable amount and the time for refund. After the call, he sent me an email confirming that "we have submitted your cancellation & refund request to the airline as per your request. The refundable amount is QAR 2712. 12, which was informed to you over the call and is the maximum amount what we can proceed with. The amount will be reflected to your account, which is used to made the payment, within 15-20 working day." I told him I need the money as soon as possible, and he again confirmed that I would get the money within 20 working days maximum. Since April 29 till now I have not received money, and when I contacted myholidays.com many times to inquire about the money, the last email from them says "Consideration will be realize by the airline during 60 days and may be more. As of now were unable to guarantee anything as subject to airline approval and response." Knowing that the company used my credit card to take the money, and they paid the airlines by their own card. So if they had been true and sure about their communications with the airlines regarding the refundable amount, they would have refunded my money to my card within 15-20 days as they confirmed with me. Why do they hold my money all this long time? Is it acceptable that it needs months from March till June to cancel a ticket and process a refund? Where is your role as an agent to facilitate your customer's request? For what services do you charge fees from your customers? Do we book with you in order to go through all this hassle and awful experiences?
