I like My Habit and have been a customer for several years and I have no problems with their ability to deliver or exchange merchandise. However, the sun rises in the East, and My Habit sales starts in the West where most of the inexpensive things are all gone by the time the sale starts in the East. My Habit needs to fluctuate between the East and the West coast, by allowing the East to get first shot at the sales. There is no fairness in this area.
MYHABIT may seem like good deals but they're shipping method is horrible. Their site gives you an estimated delivery date, but they us USPS which we all know hasn't a clue what they are doing so you never know when an item will arrive. To make matters worse, MYHABIT can't even tell you if your order will be signature required. So you have one tracking saying it should be there the very day you check, but USPS still says all they have is pre-shipping info. I also have concern are these high end garments really authentic are they knockoffs from who knows where!
I am very disappointed how they handled my request to return the item that didn't fit. I never wore it, still with a tag on, and the representative just told me, "Oh you should give to someone as a gift." Seriously?
They give you only 14 days window to return the item, terrible!
Nordstrom lets you return the item any time as long it's not damaged and you have a receipt!
I purchased an item I saw on The Wendy Williams Show at a nice discount and it was defective. The zipper was broken and therefore the item can't be used. The MyHabit return policy on their website says they will refund my money but the only option you can choose is "gift card". To add insult to injury, they ask you during the refund process if you are sure that's how you want to receive your refund, but don't offer any other options. Also, their "contact us" buttons are scams - they have one for email, chat and call, but they don't do anything when you click on them. I am quite disappointed that Wendy Williams aligns herself with a company such as this given my experience and the multitude of negative comments online. I am usually much more careful about checking in to companies before using them so - lesson learned.
I ordered three items, one of which was non-returnable. That item was incorrectly labeled. It was meant to be a large and they claimed that to be 10-12. Even someone who regularly orders a size 8 cannot fit into it. It is not large. Myhabit will not allow me to return it. That is not acceptable behavior and will not be using their service any more.
I ordered some tops for my son in a 10/12. When it came they were TINY, more like a 6/7. I thought it was just the brand so I exchanged for a different brand of tops and again, they were labeled a 10/12 but were sized more like a 6/7, and these tops are nonrefundable.
I did have some luck with ordering PUMA things for him, but I'll not be ordering clothes through them again.
Customer service is great, you get your stuff right on time and there is always someone available on the phone to answer your questions. Drawback: after I returned an item i never got my money back and i just let it go. You buy your items for a cheap price but the problem is the quality is almost always cheap and not comparable to the real brand they claim to be. My valentino sunglassess were not close to the real ones in quality, the 3 pair of earrings i bought were all defective and stones were hanging loose, detached, in the plastic bag; the clothes with cheap fabric a cheap imitation of the real brand. I am not sure that after so many bad experiences I am going to continue shopping with Myhabit.
I order my stuff November 6, and they still haven't mailed it. It has an estimated date of Nov 26. I like their stuff, but wow do they take long to ship it. This is first and last time i order from my habit.
This is a site that emails you everyday *except*, apparently, when they change their policy. Was a fantastic site before they suddenly started charging for return shipping. I would have been more understanding of the change, if they had bothered to tell me about it. They probably feel they're big enough to not sweat losing customers at this point.
I have spent a good deal of money on MYHABIT over the past two years, and all was going well until this fall. In October, a men's cashmere sweater I bought went missing in shipping. I called, traced it, and talked with their customer service rep at great length. They immediately offered a full refund which came through. I decided it was probably someone in the mailroom of my workplace. So this month, I ordered two more things but had them sent to my home. Just yesterday, they were supposedly delivered and signed for. Not possible--never even knocked at the door etc. Once again I called, talked to customer service and was offered a full refund immediately. Which I accepted. But I told them that I was done shopping with them--they needed to get a grip on their random, private carrier called LAZERSHIP because something was really wrong.
I found the whole thing strange---it's almost like they are expecting trouble and have orders to just bail out with a refund at the first complaint. The more I thought about it, the odder it seemed so I went online to see how they are reviewed. I see there are issues But my issue is not with Customer Service per se. They have been great...
I have ordered several times from the website. Twice I placed items in my cart and checked out only to discover the size had been changed. When I contacted customer service they only said sorry and I didn't get any of the items I wanted! I've also received the wrong items a couple of times. You would think a large company like Amazon could do better. The Amazon website gives good customer service, very disappointed in "My Habit"
At this moment I live through a stressful situation. I have spent a lot of money on Myhabit.com
And now I just realized what a waste of money is to use this company. I received ugly shoes
Which do not look like on the picture. The cut is to open plus since it is a cheap company
The shoes are not true to its size and extremely heavy. Never order from
My habit which is part of Amazon.com. I do not have a printer and I need authorization label
From the company. Call Amazon representative and she lives on the West Coast never heard
Of My Habit. What am I to do? Mind this company Amazon wants you to fail returning
Their items and they do dirty tricks for you never to return those items like refund on your
Credit card? The choice is return on gift card and I saw some people got cheated on their
Orders which gives them return on the Gift Card. That is why this company prosper: tough
Policy of controlled return, cheap stuff, exuberant prices and covers it's face under the veil
Of Myhabit.com. Please stay away from Amazon.com. No respect for people and they make the life of the people very difficult due go the fact that they sell mostly nonsense. Stay away
From Myhabit and Amazon- no respect for buyers.
Tip for consumers:
Just do not use it? I have explained the reason why.
Loved the free shipping and returns they HAD but now it is just like all the other clearance sale sites... and let me tell you that it is impossible to know if something is going to look good on you until you try it on! P.S. Piperlime has free shipping and returns ;)
No doubt, MyHabit puts up some interesting products that one might not come across otherwise. However, be sure to know that the prices are usually not any better (in fact, sometimes higher) than what you will pay anywhere else. The greatest insult to my consumer IQ is that MyHabit often sells products at higher prices than Amazon's prices- Amazon IS MyHabit!
So don't be fooled into believing that you are being elitely invited by Amazon to participate in something that is going to make your life a better place to live. With MyHabit, it's best to window shop there, then buy somewhere else.
I ordered a dress and returned it 2 weeks ago and I still don't see a store credit. How could it take so long for them to receive something mailed within the US? They said it takes them 7-14 days to get returns and 2-3 days to process it. They don't do refunds so you are stuck buying something from them regardless.
Free shipping and free returns with them is not worth it.
Unfortunately, I have not been able to buy anything from this site... everything (for kids) is instantly gone. I go on the site at 9am PST each day. It is very frustrating to say the least! They must only have 10 of each item... what a waste of time!
They started charging for return shipping this week. Will ABSOLUTELY never order again... too bad because I've gotten some cool things!
They promised referral credits but I never got it. And the customer service sucks.
My boss told me about this site. I was reluctant as I have been burned with online shopping in the past. I went ahead and visited to see what they have to offer. Of course upon my first purchase, I was extremely careful to check out the return policy as this is where I have been burned in the past. Everything seemed fine at first. Then at some point a return went to a store credit. On my next purchase they used the store credit with the remainer on my credit card. Now on this return it all again went to a store credit. I was told that if you use credit to purchase it has to go back to credit. But why couldn't the amount used to cover the purchase price that did go on my card go back to my card and not store credit. They didn't have a good answer for that one. When I called to complain, all I got was a run around about the having to use store credit policy. No one willing to make an exception or work with me in any way. All for $178.00! Can you believe? I am sure it isn't much to them but me... Bad business in my opinion. I guess I will have to use my credit and then NEVER shop on this site again.
I never do reviews but just had to. Now honestly I have gotten some very nice things from Myhabit. And I am a HUGE Amazon fan. But let me tell you Buyer Beware! I purchased a Gucci purse from them for $1,600. A few weeks later I was at the Gucci outlet and the same 100% exact purse was on sale for $250.
Just today I saw the exact same pair of Bally shoes I had purchased last month from them. Today on their site they were $40 cheaper. I called and asked them to refund the difference and was told absolutely not because it had been one month and five days.
I have deleted their app from all of my devices and will not shop their again.
Not impressed at all. I have been using Gilt and this just seems like amazon trying to do the same thing. Do we really need another big company like amazon who knows nothing of fashion or style trying to get rid of Companies like Gilt that made their name because of their fashion expertise? I hope myhabit fails and Gilt wins this war.
First off, for us people that reside on the east coast, the sales don't go on line until 12 noon, when most of us are at work. When I have managed, after great effort to buy a number of things, mostly women's handbags, it was very rushed. If you don't jump on your item quickly, they sell out. Usually with in first 2 hours of sale. The most disappointing thing is, the quality of merchandise! Not what I expected, even from the somewhat vague descriptions item. I have returned more items than I have kept. The most insulting part of the whole transaction is you don't get your money back, they only give you an amazon gift card good for future purchases, I'm afraid I won't be doing much purchasing from this site in the future. It's to bad, the basic philosophy of site is great but in practice is disappointing.
I purchased twice from Myhabit. I have to admit they deliver very fast. The fist purchase was a facial cream that turned to be good. That is why I gave two stars, not one. The second purchase was a pair of Luxury Rebel leather booties. The website said they were true to size so I ordered 81/2. When they arrived I was shocked. First, it was size 8 not 81/2. Second, they wouldn't fit even my hand. They looked like a pair for a baby girl size 81/2. I know that sometimes designer shoes are smaller than they are marked but why to say that they are "true to size"? Another issue was that the upper "suede" part was totally man-made.
I didn't have a problem to print out the return shipping label. Will ship it with UPS tomorrow so I would have a tracking number and will see from there. I definitely will use the account credit on Amazon, not Myhabit.
