The TaoTao Thunder 50 Scooter from MotoBuys is a fantastic city ride. It's stylish, efficient, and remarkably easy to handle. What impressed me most was the after-sales service. After receiving the scooter, I had a few queries regarding maintenance, and their team was incredibly informative and patient, providing detailed guidance. The scooter's fuel efficiency is a big plus, and it's perfect for daily commutes. The only downside was a slight delay in shipping, but it was worth the wait.

So it sits unusable. We will be reaching out to the States of Texas attorney general and small claims court.

CONDUCT BUSINESS WITH MOTOBUYS. The happy few reviews you come across, were just very luck people that actually had a vehicle come in good condition, and it runs. I purchased a new trailmaster taurus 450 utv back in October.
The delivery was supposed to be made a week before I had knee replacement surgery. The delivery was late, and the 1500 lb crate was a pain in the bleep to unload. They sent it long ways on a cube van, so we had to improvise to get it unloaded. The crate was delivered a few days before I had knee replacement surgery. It was not until three weeks ago that I recovered enough from surgery to assemble the utv. My lovely wife and I assembled the buggy with very vague instructions. My wife works for Caterpillar, and I'm a 30+ year IBEW Union Electrician. Our experience made it possible to assemble the cart.
To our disappointment we completed the project, and found the ECU(Electrical control unit) to be missing. Some idiot failed to install it, or some other mishap. I've filled out a parts request order form, and received a note claiming it would take two or three days to process. That was over three weeks ago. I've tried every avenue that Motobuys has to contact representative in order to retrieve the part. It's as if Motobuys has went out of business, or no longer has customer service. The reviews for Motobuys on the Better Business Bureau website tells all. I would give no stars if it were possible. I have a $10,000 UTV taking up valuable space in my garage, that is useless. The product was defective and would not start. I called and called and they never answer the phone. Eventually I tried a "technical support" appointment, which consists of a phone call to help YOU fix the problem.
I just wanted to send it to them and have them fix their defective product, but no, that's not possible. You are on your own. Yes, they sent some parts (new carburetor) but it was different from the original and did not fit.
I asked "can I not just send it to you for repair, I'll pay shipping both ways, just fix the damn thing" but no. They told me to take it to a mechanic. Well, what the hell is a mechanic gonna do with carburetor that doesn't fit?
I scheduled a second technical service appointment but this time they didn't even call. (It takes weeks to get an appointment.) This even after I confirmed the time and phone number for them to reach me.
So, consider yourself lucky if you're reading this before purchasing from MotoBuys. They will not help you if your product doesn't work. RUN AWAY!

I purchased a four-seater Trailmaster on October 6th 2023. They received my order but never processed it. 2 weeks later when I was supposed to receive the shipment they called me and explained they misplaced my order and they are now processing it. This delayed the shipment by another week and a half. Once the shipment arrived I had to go pick it up from the shipping terminal because the packaging was too large to be shipped at my home. Understandable, so I took my son since this was for him to build the excitement. Once we arrived the shipment company tried to get us a sign off on it immediately without seeing the package. I refuse to sign at that moment and ask to see it. Come to find out the crate seemed to be crushed from another unit being stacked on top of it. This caused damage to the front shock and there was a severe scratch close to one foot long on the side that completely took the paint down to the bare metal. Also the rear axle seemed to be bent. I refuse to accept the package considering I purchased a new unit and expected a new unit not one that had to be repaired immediately. Shortly after, a few days later I received a call from Motobuys customer service representative stating that I had to pick up the unit and that they were not going to return it because of the shipping policy says that if there's minor damage the buyer still has to accept delivery and they will assess whether or not they're willing to return it or repair it based on how severe the damages. Instead of having shipping insurance or some sort of process in place to ensure that the customer is protected especially on a close to $5,000 purchase they expected me to go to the shipping company and pick it up within an hour of the phone call in the middle of a work week at 1pm. The customer service rep said if I didn't I would be charged the shipping fees. After everything was said and done they refunded me everything except the shipping fees which amounted to $1,032. So now I'm $1,032 out without a unit. I am highly dissatisfied with the customer service and the expectations of this company delivering a damaged unit. The fact that they have their shipping policy disclosure the way they do you can expect every unit is going to have damage because of their handling methods for shipping. I highly highly highly recommend buying local so that you can see the completed unit and ensure that you have a customer service experience better than mine.

This has been a nightmare! Ordered a gokart for my grandson for Christmas Dec 10,2022, arrived damaged (not their fault) however, I am still emailing and calling to find out where my replacement parts are. Leaving messages, calling and getting answering machine literally for months with no response. I finally got a human this morning March 21,2023 and he explained they were busy and it clearly states on the answering machine that it may take a while to respond- Gave 1 star because the cart is pretty cute but still un useable. Maybe before summer my grandson will be able to use his Christmas present. Sad

Ordered a mid-xrx. Wheel sheared off on second day of use. Called and emailed customer support immediately. Did not get a response until the third email/call, although the response indicated that they didn't read my email or look at the picture I sent. Was directed to another department. That department did not respond (Tech support). As of this writing I'm still trying to reach them, 25 days after the vehicle broke. Do not order from Motobuys. Their customer support is non-existent and there are plenty of other retailers out there.

I needed parts for an atv that I bought from motobuys spoke with Charlie he said he would call me back in a couple of days this was almost 3 weeks ago left several messages and sent a few emails no response. Can't ride it due to the part that I need is for the rear brakes. Nobody will return a call. Wasted my money buying this atv. Seems there happy to take your money but won't return calls when you need something.

Should be zero stars. The part I had to assumable came with defective parts and driving my new moped for only 15 miles the head light and turn signs went out. Rear fender came so bent it rubs on the tire. Did they help me with my problems? No, they ignore my calls and emails. Won't even talk to me about a refund or replacing the messed up parts they sent me. Don't not buy from them. At this point I'd trust a crackhead on Craigslist then them.

I purchased a simple pit bike. I was immediately displeased with the power of the unit. It has trouble with hills. If you are on a smooth straight road and you open it it, the engine backfires and the few times I did go full throttle. It would backfire and one time is stranded me 1/2 mile from my home. Purchased my son an almost $4,000.00 quad that is the biggest piece of crap. Brake cable was too long so front brakes didn't work. Called and got the info they wanted and after everything they wanted a picture. Cable got thrown away on accident and still haven't received a new one. Battery sucks and constantly have to charge it. Fan broke. Have tried to call them numerous times and never get a call back. Submitted them to better business bureau and contacting a lawyer. Do not buy from this company. Have had 3 issues, missing parts after shipping, kick stand which broke when bike was parked, weld case loose cheaply done, and recently battery holder gave loose similar to kick stand poorly done. I can live with the poor quality of the bike but the customer service is the worse I have seen. For the initial two items took weeks to get someone to respond and then action. For the recent battery holder issue I have emailed 5/6 times and called with absolutely no response. DO NOT Buy anything from them that requires Customer Service.

Received my order with over 30 extreme and unique cosmetic defects, cracks, bent items, broken items. Only offered touch up paint as a resolution. Bottom line when finally get Customer service to answer an email by threatening to refuse delivery, I'm told nothing affects the performance of the vehicle and although it's 2 years old, it's still a "new" vehicle with only cosmetic imperfections. Ordered 2 mini-bikes (ICE BEAR Trail 70 125-cc.) The actual ordering process was GREAT... kind & courteous personnel. Helpful with my questions and quick resolution. Everything went BAD after actually providing my credit card# for the 2 bikes.
Trucking company attempted to make the delivery. The shipment contained only 1 bike (should have been 2 trail bikes) AND the one attempted delivery was crushed (see pics). Okay, that's an issue between the trucking company and Motobuys. BUT when calling Motobuys, they said they would check into it, that it would be 2 or 3 days to "ASSESS" the damage and then make a decision if they would repair those bikes & reship or refund my money. If they refun my money - they would charge me a restocking fee. WHAT?! Assess? Good grief I NEVER GOT THE BIKES. Only this sad attempt at a delivery or a pile of trash. THEY are assessing whether to refund my money. Do yourself a favor and SKIP ordering from this place! What a nightmare!

As I was mentioning to you, while you were yelling in my ear and not letting me get a word in, I advised that the unit itself is not damaged, as you can clearly see in the pictures you posted. Secondly, the unit I was asking 2-3 business days to investigate with the freight company, is the one that was not delivered, not the damaged one.
If you return a unit with minor/no damage, you are responsible for the 2-Way Shipping Fee + 15% restocking Fee, per the agreed upon policy when you placed the order. My goal is to prevent charging the fees, but you are unwilling to take my assistance.

If a shipment is rejected for damage Motobuys will inspect the item once it returns to our warehouse and issue the appropriate refund with 48 hours. Sent the wrong 150cc trike. They refused to exchange without charging $600 shipping and 15% return fee. Then the Throttle stuck on start up knocking the owner, a 83 yr old disabled veteran to ground. To make things worse, the kill switch and key switch didnt shut it down. I had to put my hand over the carb to kill the engine. Rear hub is loose, fuel gauge doesnt work. They refuse to call me back or answer my emails. Called for 3 weeks. Dozens of calls and emails. Zero response. Completely unexceptable.
