DONT BUY FROM MONSTER TRANSMISSIION!
I bought a ordered a 4l60e transmissin from monster I got to reading there reviews an changed my mind. I canceled the order the next day. They charged me 800 dollars for a restocking fee. Idk why because they hadn't even took it off shelf yet! They did give me store credit for the 800. I went ahead an used store credit to get a 3200 stall converter. I bought a trasmission from a diffent place 3700 hundred. I put transmission in with monsters torque converter. I drove car for about 30 miles an pulled in to car wash an car wouldn't move at all. I had to get car tower home 250 dollars. I took transmission back out thinking it was transmission. I shipped transmission back to were I got it from 250 dollars along with the torque coverter I got from monster so the could test it all for me 300 dollars. Transmission tested out good with the place I got transmission from torque coverter. When they tested it with monsters torque coverter it wouldn't do anythang. So they asked me if it was OK if they could cut it open an c what was wrong with it 100 dollars. They cut it open an found out when monster put it together they welded threw the outside to the inside an welded everything together. So I call monster an the told me to send pics so I did. Michelle told me she would get pics to techs an the would get back with me no later than 4 business days. I call after a week an sue says she would get them on it. A week later I call an they say they backed up but they were looking at it now an get back with me by end of day. It's been 3 more days an nothing. No I got to pay 250 dollars for shipping back on transmission an torque converter. Sooooooooo don't buy from monster! Don't buy from monster!

Do not buy from Monster!
August 1, 2023

I had a terrible experience with Monster transmission. I will start with a little background. In May of 2020 I bought a 1997 F250 E4OD transmission for a 7.3 diesel, specifically the Black beast super duty that was supposed to be rated for 450HP and 900Ft-lb of torque. I also opted to get the multi clutch billet torque converter. It took 3 weeks to get my transmission. My truck is a stock truck with no modifications besides a bigger air filter. My truck had 231,916 miles at install. The transmission failed at 260,962.9 miles on June 17th 2022. I won't insult anyone's intelligence but as you can see it was less than 30,000 miles. The transmission would still drive in reverse. This was the first time actually towing with the new transmission. I was towing a 3,000-pound load from New Hampshire to Missouri. I was going to stop near Loudonville Ohio for my half way point. A half mile from my half way point the truck started slipping on a hill and then just failed. Got a hold of Monster transmission first thing on Monday when they were open. First person I dealt with Will Ruiz he was constantly saying I needed to provide this form and then call back. I would immediately fill out and call back several times he would not answer and I would leave a message and no call back. The final time when he said to call back and that he would answer no surprise he didn't. I proceeded to call 3 times in a row and sure enough he answered on the 3rd time. He finally forwarded me to a warranty person named Alyssa M. Alyssa is much better to deal with she either answers or will call you back if you leave a message. I have nothing negative against Alyssa. This is just the start to the whole thing though. They said I need to pay for the shipping to them so they can look at the unit. I had the shop follow the strict rules to send it back. The scheduled pick-up date was the 22nd. They did not pick this up until Friday June 24th. I waited until July 22,2022 to hear what was wrong with the transmission. They claim it was not part failure and said over the phone it was installed at the wrong angle is why it failed. After arguing saying that is not possible and getting the photo of the broken shaft, I requested a material analysis to show that it was not faulty material. They said they could not provide this. I then requested them to send an email stating that it was due to faulty install and they kept trying to avoid saying this in an email so I kept saying then why isn't it covered. I asked the mechanic who removed the transmission if the transmission looked correctly installed before he took it out and he said there is no way it would work if it was in wrong. So Monster fails to give you failure analysis reports that way you can actually say they are falsifying information. Told me I had to pay $500 to get my transmission fixed and that is with a huge discount. Told them I would want it back as is and this time I would rebuild it. Put me on hold and finally agreed to do $250(hopefully correctly). I called them every week during the process to try and get an update on what was going on and a month later they tell me it is not covered. So their WOW warranty is BS. On top of the original transmission cost this failure cost me the following. $450 to rent a truck to finish towing my trailer to Missouri, $320 in airline tickets from and to Ohio, $120 for my uber to the airport, $700 for install and removal of the transmission at a transmission shop, and the $250 for the non-covered warranty transmission rebuild. That is a total of $1,840. This also does not account for me being stranded for a week out of work. I had to get back to work. I was also traveling with my 8-month pregnant wife so I had to get us both back in the event the baby was born. I asked for them to throw fluid in originally and they said they could not do that because that is not covered under the warranty and they didn't have any. Well guess what when the transmission got delayed a week, they randomly had transmission fluid and said they would throw it in now... Do not trust the company warranty and their celebrity endorse BS. Their warranty is trash and they do not honor it. I am said to say I serve in the military to protect scammers like this.
