I've ordered various Japanese goodies from modeS4u over the past year because they have a great selection. Shipping is affordable, but can sometimes take a while since everything is being shipped from Hongkong. I never had to contact the customer service, so I can't say anything about that.
Four stars (instead of 5) because there doesn't seem to be a mobile version of the site, so navigating it on my smartphone doesn't really work. For the past three years people have been spending more time online on their phones than on computers, so online shops should catch up and provide their customers with a decent mobile experience.

I have ordered fabrics from them 2 or 3 times already. Great selection, there's a little bit of everything. I appreaciate that they have brands like Birch Organic Fabrics. Also, shipping is reduced if you buy a good amount. They arrive folded, in a plastic bag that is inside an envelope. As soon as they send the package they send you a link with the tracking so you know where your package is.

One time I had a problem with my card and I unkowingly created two orders. As soon as I realized I e-mailed them and they quickly cancelled one of them.

Overall, a good place to buy from.

They have amazing communication which is something quite rare. Prices are ok, shipping is free after 68$usd which is nice. I don't really like how they pack their packages with tight paper mailers and stuffed tight with the squishies. Packaging gets crushed and squishies sometimes get defects after being squeezed and stretched in the tight space. Overall okay, I get the right items everytime.

The website was recently changed.
The plus side is that it is easier to have a closer and better look at the items that I find interesting.
The down side is that it doesnt show a complete overview anymore of the squishies I like.
Also Oliver seemed to be lost and I liked using his presence to help me get to the items I saw on your youtube channel but wasnt able to find back on the website. Also, with him around it was easy to purchase something and have the package rated under (less) then $20. For my next order I am now hoping it will pass the border without an extra 20 fee. Which is sad because that 20 I could have spent on buying your squishies.

Be careful whit additional taxes here in Italy, the custom charged 18 on the order...

Site facile de navigation. Les produits sont mis bien en valeur, les photos détaillées. Dommage, qu il n'y est pas assez à mon gout des miniatures sous licence (style pokemon, nintendo ou autre). Service clientèle à l'ecoute, frais d'envoi raisonnable.

J'ai commandé une trousse alice au pays des merveilles qui est très jolie et livrée a l'heure super!

Tissus et impression sde qualité, je suis ravie de ma commande, je recommanderai ici sans hésiter. Tissus bien pliés, envoi soigné. Il faudrait juste que ceux-ci soient protégés par un carton fin dans le colis et ce serait parfait.

First off I want to say that I used to get most of my stuff from Japan with online mail-forwading services, which is a huge hassle on the long run. I found modes4u a couple years back in 2014 and was very satisfied with my first small order! I actually had problems with the local post office (not connected to modes4u employees, it was all my fault!) because I didn't include my full legal name but even then when I tried reaching out to the site's help centre the people were very supportive and helpful, saying they would re-send it correctly once it returns to them! (in the end I managed to settle it myself with the post office staff)

I ordered 2 more times from them, the 2nd time the quality was just as good, but my recent order had me a little baffled. I have to mention, I ordered right at the end of november, so I can only imagine how much work the modes4u employees have to do during Christmas time, so I don't want to sound unreasonable and cold!

My order was very nicely packaged with a cute bag included, but sadly the protective sleeve my file folder arrived in still got bent (sometime during the shipment i believe), and some other items came tangled up, the bag's measurements weren't very accurate (might have been a misunderstanding while trying to convert inches to cm though) and i didn't get the free gift i chose, even though the offer was still available during the time of checkout. (that might have hurt me the most because i love iwako erasers:^( oh well, they are not expensive to buy at least!) I included a pic of some of the contents of my order, taken right after unpacking. (if you want to know i also ordered a lunchbag and kitchen utensils but they were gifts for my mom)

What I could give as advice to the group is to maybe get stronger protective sleeves! And I advise buyers to look out for file holders and notebooks, and try to order them along with paper-based items and flat surfaced stationary, since most items come in package bags and not boxes!

Overall, thank you modeS group for the years of cute stationary supplies, and I hope the store grows even more in hope of progress!

I have already ordered several times patchwork fabrics and was always very happy with the quality of service and goods. The design especially of the American fabrics is amazing and there is no other place I know which would offer such a variety of different themes and designers. The photos together with the short description provide an excellent impression of the fabrics.
The only thing is the extremely longlasting customs procedure... the last 2 shipments took more than 4 weeks until they were delivered (I ordered from Austria). Although I guess this issue is beyond influence of modes4u, it has a negative impact on the overall shopping experience. Sorry to mention this! The rest is perfect:-)
