Modern Piano Moving

The guys who delivered the piano were great. Their professionalism and skill were a pleasure to observe. The scheduling was a little sudden on the pickup side but they were accommodating given the circumstances.

Modern Piano took EXQUISITE care of my grand piano. I expected the piano to arrive unharmed, but I had no idea it would stay in tune, despite moving from Seattle to Charleston with a very significant increase in humidity. I was delighted with the service that the movers provided - they were kind, personable and highly skilled. My only negative experience was that the person I originally contacted in the office never followed up with me, despite repeated emails and phone calls. I finally spoke to another person by calling the main number to find that the individual had left the company and had not forwarded the messages to them. Aside from that, it was exactly the experience I expected with a great result.

For the most part my experience was very positive. The only glich was the varying pickup times.
The weather certainly didn't help matters which was not the fault of Modern Piano.
The 2 workers did very well under the circumstances.
I was concerned about the equipment they were using but it all worked out.

Generally service as advertised..one slipup...Music stand secured in the lower part of the small upright piano. When they delivered the piano the delivery people never unpacked it. My daughter, the recipient, called me to find out if I knew where it was. Fortunately I did since I had watched them pack the piano for movement from my house. Ultimately no harm done, but there should not have been an issue.

Overall, it was a good experience.
Two downsides:
- Long wait to receive the piano at our new residence.
- One piece of the piano was broken off.

This was my second piano move with MP. As with the first time...it was an excellent experience....the only issue I had was that I would like to have had a confirmation text or call from the the delivery team on the day of the scheduled delivery to confirm their arrival. But they did arrive when scheduled and they did call shortly before they arrived at my home.
They were professional and I was at ease during the entire moving process.

It was nice to finally find someone that would take care of moving a 60 yr old piano from our home we grew up in to the home my mother, who is 94, so that she could have it with her when we sold our family home. I just hate that it took so long to get to her. The piano arrived unscathed and she was thrilled to have it!

It would be a good idea for MP to be more proactive and inform the customer about pick-up and delivery dates & times without expecting the customer to do the calling.

Great Service! Cost seemed excessive & wait time for delivery was longer than I had thought it would be!

Our total cost was the cheapest compared to all other moving companies I contacted and researched. The movers who delivered the piano to my house were professional and attentive to being careful with their handling.
My only negative with this company is that you can't set an exact delivery day- they gave me a week window and told me when the pickup& delivery days were only 2 days before, which made it difficult for scheduling on my end.
Overall, had a good experience!

Everything about the move was professional and smooth. The mover (Patrick?) Was proficient and swift. The only trouble I ran into came when it was time to pay. We had a hard time getting customer service to contact the payee. Once that was resolved, no issues. Piano arrived safely at its destination and all parties are happy.

While it took a number of reschedules to finally get the timing of this move worked out, Misty Paul was great in following up and trying to make it work for us. The movers themselves were extremely professional, careful and treated our piano as it it was their own.

Everyone that I spoke with were very polite and helpful. I was notified when the process of pickup was to begin and given a probable time of delivery. The two drivers were very nice and helpful. The only problems were with miscommunication. When I spoke with a woman about delivery, I told her that I was going out of town the day before the final date given. She said that was no problem, that they were planning on delivering before then. A week or so later I received a call saying the piano would be delivered on the Saturday I told the woman I would be out of town. I called back and she asked if I could get someone to be at the home so it could still be delivered. I said I would have to ask someone and get back to her. I called her back the next day to say my sister would be there for the delivery. The next day after that I got a phone message from Chris asking if I had gotten someone to be at the home for delivery. I had to call back and spoke with the initial women I spoke with and she said the notes were in the record that I had called. Maybe Chris did not check the records, I don't know. Anyway, my only suggestion in better internal communication.

I was really impressed with the movers who brought the piano into my house. They were very courteous and made sure the piano was centered right where I wanted it.

The people that they picked the piano up from, were not happy that the pick up time was between 6-9 because they have small children. Also the time change with late notice.
