It's a hit or miss with this site, and unfortunately, if something goes wrong with your order, it's best to just give up... my first order i received items that were not as described, and sent and email to support myself, but after receiving no response, I called the provided support numbers, but they were all fake/disconnected. Then I contacted live chat, who are pretty useless, especially with after sales issues. Nonetheless, the agent on the live chat filed a claim allegedly with "high priority". That was 3 weeks ago, and I haven't received not one email in regard to that, but the items weren't that much so I let it go. However, my second order i decided to buy some dresses. This was a very large expensive order, and out of nine, 7 were very well made and pretty, but 2 of them were not at all as advertised. One on the site was a pretty light blue color but in real life it was a very dark blue and not at all as pretty as the pictures. The second was literally like, a rag like material. No shape, thin material, and poorly made with loose seams/stitching all over. I sent an email immediately with pictures as well as the issues and got nothing. They don't provide return labels so you'd have to pay to return and customs are so high that return shipping would could end up being 3x the cost of the item, plus the rma form isn't very clear at all. Then got an agent once again to file a claim... days later nothing. For such an urgent issue that has been apparently sent as 'high priority"I received no reply whatsoever, once again. I then dm'd them on instagram, and I do receive a response and at first I was hopeful. But that turned around pretty quickly because any further responses are not at all helpful, just "assurances that my claim is being "successfully" reviewed by the related team and I'll receive a response soon.the next business day... and that's I get in in terms response, the same message. If you buy from here be prepared to be stuck with whatever you get because the customer service is nonexistent. There is no team reviewing your claim at all so don't believe them when they say so. Just cross your fingers that you don't get rags because you won't be getting any help with you order... sad but true... the majority of their reviews are 1 star for a reason, fictional inconsiderate customer service... I eventually had to file a claim through PayPal to get my money back after they FINALLY sent an automated follow up email buy days went by an dthey claimed it would take two weeks for my refund, which is not true nor right. If a refund is processed, its a matter of days not weeks, especailly if you paid through services such as PayPal. Nonetheless, i won the claim for the promise of a refund through them alone was not true... and to this day I haven't received not one resolution regarding my first order issue. I continued to give this site a few more tries but just with small orders no more than $30, I made about 5 more and for the most part they were decent but my last two recent orders ******* & ******* were ridiculous. I needed a pretty pink dress for my birthday trip this coming up so three weeks ago I purchased a dressed pictured and advertised as pink, it arrived and it was literally lilac. I tried at customer service buy had no success. Fast forward to about a week ago I placed another order for a pretty pink dress but this one was also not pink, the only part of the dress that was the pictured and desired pink color was literally the collar alone... tge rest of the dress was straight mauve... at this point I felt that I couldn't let it pass having the same extreme color issue two orders in a row, its not fair. I dm'd them and got the same automated response telling me to email them exactly what I had just dm'd them and a team will review it... I told them last time I sent a claim to their support email it was never regarded... they left me at read... here we go again I already know I'm at a loss at this point and I'll get no help after that. But of course the email was sent and i haven't gotten any sort of email confirming receipt or anything and their chats haven't been working, perhaps I'm blocked and their phone won't work either... I wish I read the reviews before buying or atleast learned my lesson the first time... oh well... now I have been once again let down by modanisa after giving them the benefit of the doubt. I put all of my friends and family onto this site but hopefully they'll have better luck and won't have to discover the fact that they have awful customer service. This time unfortunately, i think I'll have to remain stuck
SEE UPDATE BELOW (extra charges due on delivery): I waited over one week with no communication from Modanisa until I initiated it. They were polite, but had no idea what was in my order despite the fact that I replied using their ticket order. I placed a very large order ($400 USD) and based on their website, I should have received my items in 3-5 days, well before Eid. I assumed since they were a large and well established online store, they would be professional and efficient, but I wish I had read the reviews. I never would have placed an order with them, much less such a large order had I known there was such a problem with this company. I do not want to backbite in Ramadan. This is the least I can do to protect other potential customers from poor service. I am doubly disappointed that this is a Muslim company, which I always like to support. I will add that their shipping charges are obscene. I have never paid more than $25 for overseas shipping and usually with such a large order, most companies offer free shipping, even internationally. I think the shipping charge alone was over $75, but I was able to use a $100 coupon which took away some of the sting of that very high price. I started to worry about their degree of professionalism and customer service when I did not receive an itemized receipt upon placing my order, a detail that is made worse by the fact that they could not even find my order after the fact. If they are able to resolve this issue in a timely manner, I will post an update that reflects what happened. May Allah forgive me for anything wrong I have said and make Modanisa a better company to serve Muslim women.
UPDATE: received all my items, as ordered, after about 2 weeks which is not bad, but I was slapped with an additional charge of $72 due upon delivery without any advance warning. I checked the receipt included in the package which showed that I already paid $98 shipping at the time of purchase. Quite a shock! I had to fumble to find a checkbook since the delivery service could not accept cash or credit card.
I realized what the problem is with this company. They do not provide a simple customs declaration like EVERY OTHER COMPETENT company that does international shipping. Sometimes it's just a simple sticker saying X number of dresses, scarves, books, whatever. Other times, it is a carefully itemized list provided in the address bag that customs officers can easily access to clear the items. Modanisa did NONE of this very basic procedure, which would have saved me a lot of trouble and money.
As a result, my package was held for 3 extra days in a service facility trying to determine if these goods were legal, legitimate and safe to bring into the US. The service facility would not release the items until the company contacted them with further information and then **I** had to pay the charge for the agency that investigated the items, not Modanisa, even though it was their neglect in declaring the items properly for customs that caused the charge and delay in the first place,
I have purchased from MULTIPLE different countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, North America and even Australia. Even countries considered to be in the third world have never been so unprofessional, inefficient and incompetent as to neglect to complete basic international customs and shipping info.
I have literally NEVER been in such a situation where additional charges have been demanded upon delivery, certainly not such high charges.
Modanisa claims on its website to be a top ecommerce company and states specifically that they ship a lot to the US, but their lack of care or experience is evident in the way they conduct business.
It isn't just a European thing either, as I have bought from Germany and UK without ever having to pay extra charges.
I will say that their items are beautiful and appear to be high quality, but they are from outside clothing companies, not a reflection of this seller.
Only after I contacted them a week after no communication, they had to search for my order, which had since been posted, but no notification or tracking number provided to me until after my second message to them.
I will never again purchase from this company. I was at least fortunate to have received my items intact and within two weeks, but all in all, I paid about $170 in shipping charges, half of which were due to the company's neglect. That is unacceptable when they charge so much for shipping in the first place.
Not worth it at all. I hope this review will save someone else the trouble associated with purchasing from this company.
Don't use this site. Just don't. Find a reliable seller in your country who can find these items from a legitimate dealer in Turkey.
