DONT NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I am a voluptuous plus size woman. I came across this company when in search for my 30 birthday dress. I searched for over a month and came across this company their dresses looked nice in pictures and they offered standard plus sizes and custom sizes where they make the dress to your measurements.
I did the usual thing of reading their policies on return and delivery. They state the following "AII our items are made to order. This means that we do not stock extra items in our store. Once you place your order, it will be made specifically for you. Therefore, we will not accept returns of goods that are as per your order. Our return policy only accommodates damage or wrongful shipment of items." This was the first red flag. I contacted them for further clarity via email and they responded saying that they make all dresses to order no matter standard or custom, if you want more security order custom. At first I was nervous because that still wasn't security. I've been a plus size Queen before fashion really included us (ps. They still fully haven't, really) and know the struggle of ordering something in my size and it coming not like the pictures. That's what I was scared of. Oh and did my nightmares come true! So I went against my better judgement and ordered a custom made dress but the dress that I opted for was a style that I already have that fits me well and looks amazing on from SHEIN! (couldn't wear for my 30th as I had already worn it to a major event) I honestly thought they couldn't get this wrong. I went and got measured professionally and put thought my order. I then receive an email saying that my measurements look off and I should send again. I was distraught but went and got measured again and then sent them my measurements again.
Fast forward to receiving the dress, it came in a bag similar to one that you would receive from SHEIN. I looked at the dress and was confused it looked nothing like the original dress online. Still I tried it on and doing so confirmed what I thought the dress was completely different and was not flattering at all. I emailed the company straight away and as expected they asked for pictures I sent them. They responded within 48hours saying that they made the dress to my measurements and would not honour a refund. I had to explain that that they couldn't have because it was way too big on the bust and that they also didn't follow the style of the dress regardless of the measurements. They continued to refuse my refund. I then had to remind them of my consumer rights to which they said they would offer me a partial refund I refused and they eventually said they would give me a full refund but I had to pay shipping. At that point I didn't care so they gave me a Chinese address and I took it to the Post Office. The clerk took one look at the address and said "that looks dodgy" but I showed the email for proof I didn't write it wrong and he continued but said take out insurance (BEST THING I EVER DID!) I filled out all the paperwork and went on my way. I shipped with Royal Mail on 24/02/24 it got to Chinese customs on 03/03/24 and is currently still there. When I contacted Missacc they said I needed to pay customs which doesn't make sense so I went back to the post office and they said don't pay not one red cent they are extorting you make a claim on the insurance. My claim was accepted so I got my money back. That whole process only ended today on 06/05/24. It was long and stressful and not worth the inconvenience or anxiety. My plus size queens please do not shop here they are not our allies! To everyone else please take it from me get clued up on your consumer rights and do not be scared to fight back! We work too hard for our money for it to be going to companies that DO NOT deserve it!
To Missacc please do us all a favour and stop offering your services to plus size women because you honestly do not have a clue. Also I would have given you zero stars if it was possible! I hope your company has the day it deserves x
