I was always a huge fan of Bonanza. The scenery, most of the stories ended with a good story line and of course horses. I loved old Hoss. He was both in life and on the series a gentle giant.
The Ribleman also was a good moral of the story Dad & Son show & had good story lines. I was sad to hear Johnny Crawford who played Mark McCain the son died recently from Alzheimer's. He was always a nice young man in real life, had a band in California & turned out well when you look at how so many child stars do not turn out well. Everyone respected him, & Chuck Conners also was a nice man & off camera was very good to Johnny Crawford. He had only good things to say about him.
Rawhide is at least acceptable but further down my favorites list.
Wagon Train is an awesome classic and I think portrayed the days of the Wagon Trains well and real to life. John McIntyre did a great job as his role of Trail Boss, always wise, making hard decisions. And Whooster the cook. He was a Ham.
Not too wild about Big Valley, or Paladin even though they are Westerns but they would be better than that stinking I Love Lucy, Carol Burnett Show, Happy Days.:-((((((((((((( & please The Stooges you have got to be kidding me?
And the dreadful hated Medicare Commericals. If I hear Joe Namath or Jimmy Walker one more time Im going to throw a brick through the television. Medicare needs to get their own channel
And SHUT UP. I dont know what they are paying the spokespersons but its too much whatever it is. SICK OF IT!
The Classic Tombstone with Kirk Russell, Val Kilmer is the ultimate in Westerns, & of course anything with Ben Johnson, John Wayne, Clint Eastwood types is always a pleasure. But please
It is like being tortured by the Taliban with those stupid Carol Burnett, I Love Lucy, Three Stooges,
Love Boat type shows. Seriously you must have obtained them at a bargain basement price because they are not anyone's favorite and I never liked any of those type of shows anyway.
True Grit with John Wayne & Kim Darby another great one. To be fair I have watched McClintock on Me TV. & She wore a Yellow Ribbon but we need more of those & no stupid Three Stooges, I Love Lucy junk.
The Grit Channel runs mostly Westerns, old movies that are good. Cant remember seeing the sickening I Love Lucy, Carol Burnett, Love Boat or any of that sickening stuff.
Afternoon programming has their best westerns from 1:00 EST to 5:00 EST
