Where to begin? This was the worst experience I had with a move ever. They took 6 hours to do a 2-bedroom condo moving, with everything already packed and ready to go. The last company that I've used made the same move within 2 hours, with time to spare). The movers were super slow, not wearing a uniform, not wearing gloves, forgot to bring the mattress cover, and they spend the whole time horsing around and talking on the phone in a foreign language. They then destroyed a baseboard at my building (which I had to pay and refused to refund). And then they ripped my new office chair, and of course, refused to repay). And then they took a 1:30h lunch and CHARGED ME for this time. You can always expect some wear and tear on any move, but almost every single piece of furniture got damaged. And then the absurd charge: $750 (Which they tried to get in cash not to pay any taxes). Never again!

I'd give them a 0 rating if I could. They switched the time on me. Then 2 of the 3 movers showed up wreaking of booze. The drunker one was singing and dancing all over the place. I didn't have my flatscreen tv boxed up because I couldn't do it on my own. The drunker one dropped it while wrapping it up in their blanket. I heard him drop it. When we were at the new house, the other drunk mover took my tv out of the box and unwrapped it, then placed it in the hallway and left it leaning against the wall. They did not set it up. And that was the end. I was left to set up my tv on my own. I'm very careful with belongings. I set it up and didn't turn it on, even though I should have. I sat down to watch movies 2 nights later only to find out that my tv was broken. Bob Omran, the guy who runs the Regina chapter said "I don't know why you're crying and yelling my guys didn't break anything". After a bit he said he'd talk to his guys. I'm assuming they confessed to dropping it. Bob said he'd replace my tv. A few days go by and he said he was out of town. A few more days go by and then he said "I actually, when sent the picture to the company they won't approve it because the hit on the screen was not from drop off it looks like it got hit with something". So now I'm out a tv because they won't take responsibility for their mistake. The head office won't respond. Bob is now ignoring me.

This is absolutely the worst company to ever deal with. They are unprofessional in every way. They moved us about 6-7 months ago broke a 4K Samsung and expensive click broke mirrors and still to this day has not replaced any of these items. They give you the run around every time you call. They take your money immediately but won't replace the broken items. THIEVES! There managers are a joke as each one passes the buck to the next until you just give up. Totally crooked liars and thieves. DON NOT EVER ISE THIS COMPANY! IF they can rip you off they will.

I was asked for moving total prior to my move. Cancelled move due to that. Ower called and said the person that called me no longer worked for company. I called Barrie metropolitan movers and asked for Oliver and there was no one working by that way. Apparently there is something going on.

My recent move with Metropolitan Movers Oshawa detachment has not been successful. You will be risking complications if you book with this organization.

We hired them for our move last Saturday, November 5th. On the day of the move, the two laborers who arrived refused to move our elliptical and stackable washer and dryer for safety reasons. They stated it was a 3-4 person job.

I spoke with the booking agent twice prior to the day of the move to go over all details. We spoke in length regarding the elliptical and washer/dryer. I explained to them that the items were incredibly large. I did not have the weight, but instead described the size of these items and the environment they were located in. The booking agent suggested two movers for the day. I trusted this because only the company can know the limitations and capacity of what their movers can do. Their supposed to be the experts, no?

I've been trying to reach someone since the day of the move. We called them November 5th when the work was originally refused to see if we could get an additional laborer. I've been calling since then and have left multiple messages both with people and on their machine. I was never contacted by anyone.

Today, I managed to get someone on the phone. Communication with the staff at this organization is terrible. I am interrupted at every given moment with an excuse as to why this is somehow not their fault. The solution offered to me is to have 4 men come to move our two items for a discounted rate of $760.00 + tax. We've already paid the two movers on Saturday, November 5th a total of $796.65 tax in.

I've reached out to Two Men & A Truck, who quoted me $590.00 + tax for a truck and three men to do the same job.

Bee Ready Movers quoted me $700.00 for the same thing.

Metropolitan Movers is not acknowledging their mistake. Negotiations between myself and the company is heated and has completely degraded. I confronted them about their "discounted" (but really full price) quote, and am being told that I provided the wrong information regarding weight at the time of booking.

This is a straight up lie.

I know this because I literally have no information on how much the elliptical and washer/dryer actually weigh. This is why I went into great detail during booking as to the size and space the items are occupying.

I'm sure that after posting this review someone from the organization will reply back deflecting blame or providing more excuses. I wouldn't expect anything less at this point. But please know dear reader, they've been dishonest with me up to this point and have not made good on their commitment.

Metropolitan Movers Oshawa detachment are first and foremost dishonest and conniving. I highly suggest looking elsewhere.

Do not trust metropolitan movers Durham, they are dishonest and conniving.

Cancelled a 3pm move at 4:45pm and didn't give any advance notice at all. I had spend an hour chasing them on the phone to even get that far and then their excuse was that I didn't call them quickly enough. They didn't even bother calling me.

My roommate and I used this service for our move and it could have not gone any worse. They were unbelievably unprofessional, and inefficient. I had to crawl into the truck and show them how much more space there was since they were convinced nothing else would fit. My boyfriend had to go and repackaged everything and help them figure out how to properly pack. Furthermore they were smoking around our furniture while moving and while standing in the truck. Our contract stated that we were supposed to have the service for 2 hours and after 2 hours the men said they had to stay for a minimum of 3. My roommate spent half an hour arguing with them in the middle of our move that this was not what we agreed to. Once she spoke to their manager on the phone - who was extremely rude - we were forced to pay for three hours with the promise that we could contact customer service to get our money back the next day.

The following day we contacted their customer service rep, Oliver, who was possibly the worst of it all. As a way of responding to the issue he yelled back at my roommate on the phone and refused to refund us our hour that we did not receive of service. They fully took advantage of myself and my roommate as this was our first experience moving on our own. I could not be more disgusted in how they conducted themselves throughout the entire process. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST.

Used them for our move on April 1. They showed up an hour early while we were still offsite loading the truck and then they clearly had no communication on the price that was quoted to us. They had a sketchy reason for not accepting our debit card so we paid in cash. It's been 11 days since I've used their service and have yet to receive an invoice. I have called EVERY single day since our move to obtain this invoice, each time getting a different answer.

Metropolitan Movers doesn't even do the moving job, they contract it out to local companies. As far as the actual move went, I was very satisfied. However, moving day was very emotional for me as my husband and I are splitting up. The mover took advantage of that and ended up overcharging me by $500. I followed up with Metropolitan Movers and was given the run around. Then I had to follow up directly with the moving company (Maple Green Moving and Logistics in London, Ontario) to request a refund. I was told they would be launching an investigation and would let me know the outcome. It was very clear that what my contract stated was very different from the invoice. Maple Green had copies of both items, so they should have been clear on the extra charges. Apparently I signed up for additional insurance on the day of my move, which was not made clear to me by the mover and was charged for additional line items which my contract covered. It took almost a full week of me calling and texting every day followed up with a threat to sue them. Then miraculously $400 was e-transferred to me (minus the insurance fee). Do not use either one of these companies!

This is not a moving company - they contract to other third party movers in your city and misrepresent themselves!

Obtained a quote for a 3 bedroom house move, working with the company online and over the phone. Disclosed that we had alot of heave items including 6 big screen tv's. Was told only extra charge would be for washer/dryer and gym equipment and two movers is all that would be needed. On the day of the move, three movers showed up at my door and I was informed that there would be an additional $40/ hour charge because I had so much stuff. I had committed to moving that day and was forced to agree to the terms.

I decided to argue the charge with MEtropolitan as these guys were NOT Metroplitan movers but a sub-contracted company representing them. Of the three movers, only one was experienced and continually corrected the other two on how to properly pick up and load items which added considerable time to the move compared to an experienced team use to moving people. They were very nice guys but not the quality I would have expected - it was like having inexperienced friends help me move. The move took eleven hours and two trips to the new house that is not even five minutes away even though I had dissassembled the bedroom and living hardware to speed the process.
We did not take many items that I had to move on my own... the house was far from empty. By comparison, a close friend had also planned a move that day with a five bedroom house and utilized just her family and a couple of close friends. Their new house is a 45 minute drive from the old and they still completed the move just over ten hours, making two trips.

While the crew was punctual and easy to work with, this was not the service I expected and Metro movers has declined to acknowledge any fault. I would not recommend using this shady company for anything.

They didn't show up on moving day. When I finally got ahold of the driver, he said he didn't recieve any work order for this move.
