POOR SERVICE FOR SENIORS WHO ARE LEGALLY BLIND

PURCHASED DEVICE BUT HAD MANY PROBLEMS WITH BROKEN EQUIPMENT. MAILED BACK DEFECTIVE DEVICE UPON RECEIPT OF NEW DEVICE. RECEIVED CALLS MIDDLE OF NIGHT FROM WHAT I THOUGHT MAY BE SPAM BUT WAS FROM POLICE DEPT. POLICE NOTIFIED BY ROBOT CALL THEY COULDN'T REACH ME. MY DEVICE WAS SITTING NEXT TO MY BED AND I NEVER TOUCHED IT. MG NEVER REMOVED THE EX CAREGIVER A YEAR EARLIER OR UPDATED WITH NEW CONTACT INFORMATION, EVEN THOUGH THEY ASSURED MY NEW CAREGIVER THEY HAD. CAREGIVER WHO MOVED ACROSS COUNTRY WAS NOTIFIED AND THE PEOPLE WHO ARE LOCAL WERE NOT NOTIFIED. LOCAL CONTACTS RECEIVED WHAT APPEARED TO BE A SPAM CALL FROM OMAHA NEBRASKA AND WOULDN'T ANSWER THE PHONE. IT DID NOT SAY IT WAS FROM MEDICAL GUARDIAN. POLICE SHOWED UP. I CALLED ON AUGUST 27TH TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED. MEDICAL GUARDIAN DEMANDED TO KNOW WHY I DIDN'T TELL THEM TO DISCONNECT THE BROKEN DEVICE BECAUSE IT WAS BOUNDING AROUND INSIDE A BOX BEING RETURNED TO THEM. I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO TELL THEM TO DO THIS. NOT SURE IF MY DEVICE WAS EVEN WORKING, I CALLED MG AND TOLD THEM TO CLOSE MY ACCOUNHT. I WAS BUYING FROM ANOTHER COMPANY AND NOW WEARING A SAFER DEVICE. MG TOLD ME BECAUSE I WAS LEGALLY BLIND, I STILL HAD TO SIGN A CEASE AND DESIST LETTER TO STOP USING THEIR DEVICE. I HAVE NO HELP HERE AT THE HOUSE AND WAS TOLD THEY WOULD TAKE IT TO A HIGHER LEVEL TO SEE HOW THE MONEY WOULD NOT BE REMOVED FROM MY ACCOUNT. CRICKETS. NEVER HEARD A WORD. NOW ON SEPTEMBER 9TH, MY BANK HAS MONEY COMING OUT OF MY ACCOUNT BECAUSE NOTHING WAS DONE BY MG. I CALLED MG, IN TEARS FROM BEING UPSET AND SPOKE WITH MARCUS WHO YELLED AT ME. SAID BECAUSE I WAS LEGALLY BLIND WAS WHY IT WAS NOT DISCONTINUED. I NEEDED TO SIGN THE FORM. THEY NEVER SENT A FORM. HE DEMANDED TO KNOW HOW I COULD SIGN A FORM IF I WAS LEGALLY BLIND AND I TOLD HIM THAT IF I HAD THE FORM, I WOULD JUST WRITE ACROSS THE PAGE MY SIGNATURE. SO HE WILL TALK TO FISCAL SERVICES AND HAVE THEM SEND ME THE FORM. NO, I CANNOT TALK TO FISCAL SERVICES HE SAID BECAUSE THEY DON'T TAKE PHONE CALLS. THE FORM WILL BE SENT US MAIL. AFTER THEY GET THE FORM BACK, IT WILL TAKE 30 DAYS TO GET A REFUND. I LIVE ON A SMALL DISABILITY AND CANNOT AFFORD TO PAY THIS COMPANY BECAUSE THEY CAN'T DO THEIR JOB. ALSO, THEY TOLD ME THE REASON MY CONTACT DID NOT GET A CALL FROM MEDICAL GUARDIAN ON THEIR PHONE WAS BECAUSE ALL CALLS COME FROM AN INTERNATIONAL CALL CENTER VIA ROBOT. EVEN THOUGH WHEN I PURCHASED THE DEVICE, WE WERE ALL TOLD TO PUT MEDICAL GUARDIAN IN OUR PHONE CONTACT LIST SO WE WOULD KNOW WHEN MG WOULD BE CALLING DUE TO AN EMERGENCY. ALSO, THE DEVICES ARE SO POORLY CONSTRUCTED, THE LANYARDS BREAK CONSTANTLY. BEING LEGALLY BLIND IT'S ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO KNOW HOW TO REPLACE A NEW ONE. THEY DIDN'T TELL ME HOW UNTIL AFTER I CANCELLED THEIR SERVICE. BOTTOM LINE IS: I LIVE ALONE. I'M HANDICAPPED. NO, THERE IS NO ONE WHO CAN HELP ME AND NO, I CANNOT WALK UP AND DOWN THE BLOCK KNOCKING ON DOORS ASKING PEOPLE FOR HELP. IF I HAD HELP OR SOMEONE HERE, I WOULDN'T NEED THEIR RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE OR POOR E OR BAD EQUIPMENT. AND LEGAL COUNSEL HAS NEVER HEARD OF A COMPANY WHO REFUSES TO STOP AUTOMATIC BILLING UNLESS A CEASE AND DESIST LETTER IS SIGNED. BE VERY CONCERNED BEFORE PURCHASING THEIR EQUIPMENT.
