I ordered the mattress afternoon, I was kept informed of progress - I wasn't able to be at home on delivery - had a call from the gentleman delivering - asked him to put it in safe place - which he did - he was extremely helpful - mattress really comfortable - 5 year guarantee - altogether if only everything worked out so well! Not good quality at all. Purchased 2 mattresses in August this year paid just under £600. Total rubbish spring coils popping through not getting any sleep. You can feel the springs digging into tour flesh. Only had just over 3 months. Spent over 40 minutes trying to get through to customer services. Absolute joke. Emailed them in Saturday asking for someone to call me Monday. No response. Not a good company..
Delivery delay, I Ordered a mattress (3-5) day delivery not next day which was fine.
However, at the end of day 4 I called customer services to see if my mattress was being deliver on day 5 as I'd not received a text message about the deliver time.
At this point I was told my order had been pushed back and it was going to be an additional 2 weeks before deliver will take place.
Nobody has contacted me at any point to advise me of the delay. I was only told when I made the call to chase my order…. Very disappointed in the service as a first time customer.
And have to wait another 2 weeks for my new mattress which I ordered because it would be delivered within 3-5 days!
Every time i sit on the bed the spings make hell of a noise but once im on the bed the noise stops
Ordered a mattress and paid for next day. This was then changed without informing me themselves. They removed the next day charge to apologise which should have just been a given but didn't offer anything else as a proper apology (ie free to take to the room of choice etc).
Good price but poor experience
Ordered the mattress Tuesday and got it 1 week later on the following Tuesday. Delivery guys fine and mattress was double bagged. However there was lots of the mattress frayed. Couldn't be bothered complaining as will have mattress protector and sheets on anyway. Other than that the mattress is ok up to now.
Mattressnextday said my mattress would come on the 17th, two days after in ordered it. As the website is called mattressnextday I assumed the delivery day would be correct. As for this I removed my old mattress and therefore had to sleep on the floor! I tried calling for an update and no one answered! Disappointed.
Received the mattress that was graded as 1 which is soft.
It was in fact extremely hard, when I queried this with Materessnextday they said the grading is determined by the manufacturers who is Hyder Beds. Apparently there is no official grading system and it is apparently down to opinion? I Don't think this is good enough. I returned it to Materessnextday and was refunded, but I had to hire a courier service and now I'm £61.00 down for the whole experience.
The mattress was not delivered on the promised day despite a confirmatory email. As a result I had a 200 mile round trip two days running to accept the mattress because the would not deliver it to the flat - only to the downstairs lobby. Left to carry a double mattress upstairs by myself. Not very impressive.
Bought a mattress for a tenant in a rental property and he said it was so soft we could feel the bed slats through the mattress when he sat down on it. I rang to ask to return the mattress and while they agreed to accept the mattress back, I have to pay for a courier to return an item that isnt fit for purpose. Hardly fair. The lady on customer services simply said ' no offence but-its an entry level mattress, what did you expect?'. Very helpful. I expect it to be better than an IKEA mattress i'd usually buy for £85! Won't be shopping here again.
Generally comfortable however disappointed with the fabric quality and also the the sides are not supportive and sink.
The mattress we purchased is fantastic - if you want a quality mattress then yes, I'd recommend MattressNextDay.
The service however - absolute disgrace. Don't offer select day or time slots if you can't keep to them. We selected a specific slot on a specific day that we knew we would be there for the delivery - we're moving into a new flat and aren't there most of the time yet.
3/4 of the way through the selected time slot we get a phone call to say they can't deliver because they messed the labels up and don't know which mattress is ours. That should not have been something we were told at that point - that should have been sorted beforehand.
They then asked if they could deliver the following day - we said no, nobody would be around for the delivery. We arranged for delivery the following week (which is already bad by any means, having to delay moving for a week because of this ridiculous mess up).
We then received an email the following day that the mattress had been delivered. The driver had signed for it themselves, and literally dumped the mattress on the doorstep. We specifically said no to delivery that day, yet they decided to deliver it any way and just drop it on the doorstep even though clearly nobody was in. The flat is the other side of town and we were busy all day - thankfully we managed to find someone to go round for us and put the mattress in the flat, but that delivery service was absolutely disgraceful.
Will not use this company again myself. The only reason this is not a 1 star review is because the mattress itself is great - but I don't feel that qualifies 3+ stars, as the company/delivery itself was a disgrace.
Not very happy with mattress as side firmness was sunk down even before my first night sleeping on it
I ordered from these guys as I needed a bed the next day (a Saturday). Ordered divan bed with mattress and duvet + pillow set. They called quickly to let me know that the mattress I wanted was out of stock but they'd provide something similar, and that the duvet + pillow set was out of stock so they'd give me a refund on that. Annoying, but absolutely understandable.
I was sent an email saying I could expect delivery between 8am - 5pm. A big window, but again, fine.
Then the bed never came. I called the office and it was closed. I had to dash out to buy a blow up mattress to sleep on!
I heard nothing until Monday when I received a very brief apology email in response to my complaint. And, finally, a bed! (Which is as ordered.)
I think a call to save me waiting around all day Saturday would have been much more customer friendly than letting me wait.
