I'm in the process of going back to school, and I needed to take a math placement test to (hopefully) test out of a math prerequisite class for the class I wanted to take. I have not taken a math class in 14 years, so you can imagine how worrisome this was. I signed up for the ALEKS course, finished it in about a week, and was able to not only place out of the class I needed to, but one level above it! To be fair, I used to be good at math in school, so this course was more of a refresher for me. I paid $50 for the ALEKS course and was able to avoid a $500 college math class - definitely well worth it!
I passed the NYSTCE test! The lessons were really good and clear. I am not good at math at all and after doing the course, I did pass so I appreciate it!
I got 30/30 on the Umass Amherst Part A math test and a 10/10 on the Umass Amherst Part B test. For me, the mathhelp.com lessons were an awesome way to review math. Due to how Umass Amherst does not reveal what is on the placement test, the mathhelp.com course provided me with a way to prepare.
I scored an 86 on the TEAS VI test and the most helpful was refreshing myself on all of the algebra. Simplifying equations, finding variables and all of that stuff which I was then able to apply to the word problems. The program was easy to use and was the best study guide that I found and I like that it's interactive unlike a lot of the others I found.
Had to take the aleks math placement test after 8 years out of HS. Very helpful program, worth the $$
Everything was great, it was easy to navigate and its lessons match up with my process of learning. The most helpful part for me was the videos followed by the immediate tests.
Your NYSTCE course was very helpful. I think it's a great resource for directing your studies and also covers the basics, which was great because I hadn't done math in such a long time.
My TSI went great! I passed all of the portions especially the math. Your lessons were really helpful! I will definitely be using you guys' website for my nursing HESI exam!
I actually ended up passing my CLEP College Mathematics exam. What I liked most about the MathHelp was that it really did teach me step by step how to do things I haven't seen in forever and it wasn't hard for me to catch onto things I'd never seen before. I used other websites but they weren't as easy to understand.
We completed the program over the summer and the kids were very successful taking college placement tests and are enrolled at Greenville Technical College this fall. Thanks so much!
This College Algebra course was very helpful. It provided great explanations. It also provided great exercise problems to help solidify the concepts that were explained.
With your help, I did fairly well in my algebra classes this summer. Everything in the package for elementary algebra 1 is a huge help!
Very helpful! Had a good amount of what was on my placement test and was a great refresher on everything! I think it's worth the money because I tested out of math
I spent $100 to study for a college algebra CLEP test, and it did not cover any topics on the actual test like they claim to do. Complete waste of time and money. Do not recommend.
This program was extremely helpful! I was able to reintroduce myself to concepts I hadn't looked at since my switch in major to elementary education. I am happy to say I passed my ILTS Middle School Math Exam, and I definitely wouldn't have been able to perform well without the help of this course.
I learned 10std math. The Geometry curriculum was easy and algebra is a little tough. Math help explains sums with different methods and in the easiest way.
I chose this class to study for my CLEP test in order to get into my doctorate of chiropractic program. I had not taken an algebra class since 8th grade a little less than 10 years ago, so I had lost almost all of the knowledge I needed.
This program was way more helpful than I ever could have thought. I liked how the program was taught as if it were a class; separated into units followed by review questions to help fully grasp the information. I think the review questions were the strongest part of the program, especially those that walked you through the problem if there was any confusion. I also enjoyed how short the videos were, I could put them to 1.5x speed and get through a unit in 20-30 minutes or so and still come out feeling like I understood what I just watched; I thought it was helpful that each section started off easy and as I clicked through the 1-5 or so videos it got a little more challenging, building off of the last part rather than dumping all of the information at once.
Altogether the program was great and I would highly recommend using it for a CLEP review or even for algebra tutoring.
Whatever curriculum is offered isent very relevant, for the current clep exams, administered these days [2022], would definitely stay away, from this company.
Answer: I was skeptical at first having to pay for a PERT study course but I am so glad I did. I hadn't done any math since high school which was 7 years ago for me and I didn't remember anything at all. But I followed this course for 2 weeks and in that time I learned more than I had at years of school. I scored a perfect 150 on my PERT and because of it I got to take the Accuplacer and scored well on that too which placed me in Pre Calc and Trig! It saved me from taking over a year worth of lower level maths and thousands of dollars. The structure of this course was by far the most efficient way I have ever been taught math. The clear explanations in the short videos and practice questions afterwards makes learning the material so easy!
Answer: It is not easy at all. The only thing they provide is an email address and a promise of a 24-hour response I am going on my 7 days awaiting a response for a refund
