“No customer service”

No personal contact, just email or text. Closed weekends. Shoes didn't work for me but item well made. Trying to do an exchange was impossible, so I sent the item back and did not want to deal with this company. The return was easy with Happy Returns. This review is on service more than the item.

Do not order from them! They have a history of not responding to customer emails that inconvenience them. The shoes I received had been clearly worn, and also stretched out. The leather was cracking! After sending an email with pictures asking for some sort of resolution, I have not gotten a response for weeks. For $300+ shoes that is ridiculous.

Beware of these scammers. Bought shoes in October and they were the wrong size. I emailed and they told me to return the shoes at my own cost. I returned them and they have not refunded me and have ignored my emails. It is now February. I doubt I'm going to get my money back. Be careful

Saw the Mary Jane flats I liked online. Contacted customer service for sizing info, since their sizing charts doesn't make sense. All major luxury shoe brands (Tod's, Ferragamo, Manolo Blahnik, Stuart Weitzman) provide detailed shoe charts with insole measurements - customers in China for example determine their shoe size based on the length of the feet. For some reason CS was reluctant to provide any kind of sizing information I was asking for. Instead the agent gave me some general advice to order according my US size 7 which according to their chart was 37. They also personally advertised that they offer complimentary shipping and returns in case I wanted to return or exchange the shoes. Turns out "complimentary shipping and returns" proved to be false since it doesn't apply to customers outside US and Canada. So the the cost of returning the shoes falls to the the customer.

After pondering I ended ordering 7.5/37.5W instead. The shoes run big and are not true to size. Even with the smaller size (37) the shoes would have run big. On top of that shipping took five weeks. They use the cheapest shipping company possible.

While the shoes seem to be good quality for the price, they cannot be compared to major luxury brands in terms of design details or quality. As for comfort, I don't find them more comfortable than say Ferragamo. As for the materials. The quality of black suede leather is okay but pales in comparison to my Carmina loafers that used suede made by CHARLES F STEAD & CO tannery.

I also think they moderate negative reviews. They only post 3+ stars reviews on their site.

CS provided was subpar and unhelpful. Hence one star.

Tip for consumers:
Received an email that order was received and no further shipping info until day of delivery. No person to person communication or on line chat. Very frustrating getting answers. Product decent.

I purchased a pair of shoes during their "once a year" sale. No notices came up during the checkout process about the shoes not being available, either when I placed the item in my basket or when I finalized the purchase. Two months later, I realized that I had not received my shoes, so I searched my emails for notices about a delay. Nothing there except confirmation of my order, two months ago. So I went to their website and did a "chat" with customer service. I was told that the shoes were a "preorder" and that a message about this would have popped up when I was checking out. The agent even said something about understanding that I might have missed it. Bull$#*!. There was no message. And why would the company never send updates? I think they are covering up their own inventory and fulfillment problems with that blatant lie. I won't be ordering from this company again. I even had to ask for expedited shipping when my item finally comes back in stock. This little upgrade (a very obvious, small apology) was not offered. The agent granted it, but I should not have had to ask. If I do get my order when she says I will, that will be almost 12 weeks fulfillment time. Not acceptable.

UPDATE: I am gobsmacked by the dishonesty and incompetence of this company. A couple days after I went through the nonsense noted above, I got an email from Margauxny.com telling me that it would be ANOTHER 10-12 weeks before they can send the shoes that I PAID FOR UP FRONT! So that would be six months to fulfill an order. I have demanded a refund, since they have been holding my money for almost 12 weeks already. This company is a scam. Avoid it at all costs. Here is the email, sent 12/08:

"I hope this email finds you well! I am reaching out, because our team just realized we had a slight inventory miscount and are unfortunately backordered in the Black Pointe you selected in your October order. I am so terribly sorry for this inconvenience, and that we weren't able to communicate it sooner! If you don't mind waiting on this item, we can have it made at our factory specifically to fill your order in about 10-12 weeks' time...".

Lots of fake-friendly language and apologies there, but the plain fact of the thing is that they are talking about holding my money for six months. Utterly ridiculous. Thieves!
