I hired Marbel Law on 10/31/2023 to replace a law firm that was not acting on my behalf in response to a Divorce filed by my ex-spouse in February of 2023. After paying an initial consultation fee, I took out a personal loan for an initial down payment and have made regular payments to date. My initial call from my assigned attorney was scheduled, missed, and then rescheduled. After discussing the case history with my assigned attorney, I was assured that she could handle the case and adequately represent me. The call lasted less than 10 minutes and was completed in the first week of November 2023. Trouble began in February of 2024 with the receipt of a letter from the opposing counsel regarding a stipulation agreement that was signed the previous year from the sale of a joint property. I sent the letter to my assigned attorney and notified opposing counsel of my new attorney's contact information. Since then, it has become a battle to get anything communicated correctly, timely, or consistently, promises made by the assigned paralegal and attorney and not acted upon, and having to act on my own behalf to resolve issues until I had had enough that I filed a complaint with Marbel. In June of 2023, I requested a follow-up with my attorney regarding the aforementioned stipulation via email, and after no reply, I sent a follow-up email on July 2nd informing my assigned attorney that I would be reaching out to opposing counsel. My assigned attorney called me immediately afterward requesting that I do not reach out to opposing counsel and after explaining the situation to her, she said she would counter by drafting a stipulation on my behalf. Further communication from my attorney indicated that she had been in contact with the opposing counsel who initially agreed with the stipulation that had supposedly been drafted. On November 15th, I sent an email to Marbel Support regarding inaction, lack of communication and concerns over how my case was being mishandled. I was assigned a Client Representative who was working as an intermediary between me and my legal team. From this, I came to the conclusion that I was being gaslighted by both sides and what the assigned attorney had informed me was totally different from what the client representative from Marbel was telling me. On 12/17/2024, I received a voicemail from my Marbel representative that my attorney would be calling me on the Monday after the holidays. Not surprisingly, this never occurred. On February 6th, 2025, I reached out to the court that was assigned to my case and a clerk was able to help me access a Case Summary and list of events, fees paid, and activities. To my surprise, the court has me listed as Pro Se without legal representation. Important filing dates and responses have been missed, certified mail to me from the court was returned as undeliverable, and there is a hearing scheduled for 2/21/25. I have requested a Master Bill that shows everything that was performed, invoiced, and paid to date but have been told that services rendered are available on the client website which it is not.
Upon the initial intake fee, you are lured into a solace that they are there to help you.
After your contracted co-counsel attorney consult, they report back to Marbel estimated cost.
Marbel Finance takes the estimated cost, and adds surplus fees and percentage fees for a total cost. Then they will contact you and set up a down payment and finance schedule. Once you have made your down payment, they set you up with a portal account so you can upload your documents via onboarding exercises to keep you busy thinking you have found helpful representation.
Once onboarding is complete and they have received your first payment, the only real communication you receive is from the finance department informing you of when and how much is expected for your next monthly payment.
Choosing a legal representative is a decision of immense trust and expectation. I was seeking diligent, empathetic, and competent legal representation, which at this time, is severely lacking from Marbel Law.
As with others who have posted, and in retrospect, I have concluded that Marbel is not a legitimate law firm despite marketing itself as such. Instead, they act as a referral service.
I feel like I was put in a big legal bind behind Marble Laws deceptive advertising - ads that misrepresent the nature, characteristics, qualities or geographic services or commercial activities. There was no Office of Attorney General (OAG) Hearing. I didn't have an upcoming hearing regarding child support at the Office of the Attorney General. This company did not do a OAG hearing on my behalf. No continuances, no issues were handled correctly. What's not included: No add for each step as it's needed because my case is different. Marble did not work with me throughout my case, things were not included in this service: - Any filings on my behalf, Steps and timelines*, I talked to 4 lawyers about my needs. I signed the Marble Agreement 3 times and my needs were not met by my legal team from days of signing different Marble Agreements. My information is compromised. Marble asked me to send everything back to them as soon as possible. Prep calls were not handled before any hearing. No hearing set for me
No judge made a ruling on my case. According to the Marble Agreement, they completed this service but did not do so. This is a false overview of my service and estimated timeline. My legal team said they will do their best to address my legal issue(s) as timely as possible, but cannot guarantee the length of your case. Several factors impacted the timeline of my case, including the court processing times and any changes to my legal services. Please refer to any signed Marble Agreements for more information. What happened next is different. They failed deadlines on my behalf on my next step in my unique circumstance. My services and went unnoticed, my Pro Bono legal team abandoned me. The company did not complete my legal services as it was written in my legal file. I have been a client of Marble since 2021 and the information they have documented for the service provided is not correct. I am indigent not by choice and I was not expecting Marble to fail me as their client and affect an entire family to experience a poor quality of life. The company has acted upon bad faith and I don't understand their movements. Not every case is like mines so I can't speak about other outcomes. Why was I dropped as a client and my information was never updated by Marble Law, their staff nor their contracted attorneys? I don't know. Marble was working for the defendant this whole time. I sill have not had my needs met and most of all I am not an expert in law and yet I have to still figure things out on my own. I really need help with this situation.
The response time for Marble law staff to attend to sensitive legal matters on the clients behalf is not taken into consideration. A time sensitive matter should not have to wait 3 days for a response and they are the legal experts that know that a downfall like that would jeopardize the person that they're working for on their behalf a possibility of experiencing living a poor quality of life which is a step down from where they were in life before their legal matters were mishandled
Limited legal Services- Pro Bono program of Marble Way
I hired Marble Law for my ongoing divorce to keep my stress level low and so far, it has been a nightmare. After the first consult in April 2023 the finance section was quick to reach out and charge me $4K for services which I gladly agreed upon. They assigned me a lawyer (Sydney Serrata) recently graduated from school (2 years), first red flag, who is completely unexperienced, lacks basic professional etiquette and horrible or nonexistent communications skills. I tried to work with her but no luck. As time pass and while receiving no consultation or services, I receive a call from the Finance department on 29 June 2023 informing me that I have a hearing the next day 30 June 2023, and If I wanted representation, I needed to pay an additional $6500. I quickly tried to contact my assigned lawyer with no luck...AGAIN...since she failed to inform me of the hearing. I called the Finance department and after looking at the lack of support I have been receiving they were so kind to discount the fee to $4,500. I was so upset that I decided not to have representation. On top of that I have send emails during this time to my assigned lawyer, maybe over 20, receiving answers or a one sentence email reply to maybe 3 of them, forced to call Marble Law Customer Service and as protocol dictates every time, they will provide an additional 72 hours to lawyer to respond and will consider a one liner email an official response. Fast forward to 31 August, were once again I called again to Marble Lay Customer Service, I finally was able to receive some help, from the customer service lady who put me in contact with the Paralegal Department who ultimately assist me with changing lawyers. Today 07 September 2023, I finally have a new lawyer but nevertheless the Finance team calls me quickly to charge me an additional $1500 for the new lawyer to be able to proceed with the Sworn Inventory and Appraisal form that my incompetent lawyer placed in the Agreement for Temporary Orders. In the meantime, I have been stuck in a place where I can't make personal decisions since the divorce is still pending and Marble Law continues to take my well-earned money for less than mediocre services. I'm a retired veteran with 22 years of service in the Army, I know how to endure bad service, hard times and stress, but this is at a whole different level of ineptitude and unprofessional behavior. I'm stuck here due to my own uninformed decision but will like to advise you reading this to just go get yourself a real lawyer firm who look after your benefits and not your savings account. I'm giving them a 1 star because there are no zero or negative stars to provide.
Divorce Services
I Darin Allen was a professional boxer who moved down to Clearwater Florida in 1991. I met my now wife who I'm now trying to divorce. She at the time lived it St. Petersburg's Florida while I stayed in Clearwater Florida. I eventually moved back to Ohio and brought her with me which was a big big mistake. I mean Steven spillsburgh couldn't even come up with the horrific things she's done in our 30 year marriage. It has been nothing but aldutery betrayal and domestic violence. It's been 30 years now and I got with marble law firm to divorce her and at first I was very pleased with their performance then all of a sudden my attorney Kimberly Lawrence dropped the ball so they appointed me to a new attorney Daryl Parker and he requested for me to send him some documents because my wife beat me to filing first. Daryl Parker said no problem we will just counter it. Let me let you know how important this divorce was to me. I was a professional boxer who was addicted to pornography and I met my wife it at peterburgh Florida in 1993 and I was staying in Clearwater Florida and we both moved back to Ohio. It's been nothing but domestic violence and adultery on her behalf. To make it even scarier it was with my best friend. Nearly 30 years later I found out she was having sexual relations with several of my friends. I filed for divorce with marble law because I seen where they were the best.My attorney at the time was doing a great job in getting to the bottom of my case! Then for a three month period it went silent so they removed her from my case and gave me a new attorney Daryl Parker. He texted me and ask mw to send him a few things via text. I sent them and this was about 4 or 5 weeks ago. I called him today and he was confused and I think he didn't even know what I was talking about. My wife in the mean time is divorcing me on some bogus charge and I'm not going to meet the deadline because marble law dropped the ball. I was walking around confident that everything was perfect because of the good reviews. I sent Daryl Parker the documents that he requested and I called him today. I asked him " did you receive the documents you requested "? He was confused and had no ideal what I was talking about. Now my wife has now filed for divorce on me as well and it's passed the deadline. My wife gets away free from adultery and mental cruelty and mental abuse. Marble Law started out being a good law firm but my experience has been nothing but dead beat lawyers who might be overwhelmed or just flat out lazy. I gave marble law a 5 star rating at first, if I was able to give them a zero that's what I would give them because they have done absolutely nothing.I am not going to say they're not a good law firm but my experience with them sucks. Deadlines have expired and my wife has now filed for divorce. It's to late now she's in control and she has no legal representation she's actually kicking my behind without an attorney. I said in my first review with marble law" I can rest and not worry because marble law is a great law firm 3 months later they have done absolutely nothing. My attorney Daryl Parker who I spoke with today didn't even remember me. This is what happens sometimes when you get with legitimate big time law firms. At first I was on cloud nine. Now I'm all messed up emotionally. Things happen but I have no rating on marble law but it appears that the attorneys may be overwhelmed or just flat out lazy. As far as a star I won't leave one because they deserve absolutely nothing. Now my wife walks away free and I just got to suck it up and keep on moving forward and living my life and trust God!
