MakeMy Trip is the worst site as they list hotels which are dangerous to health of the customers as these hotels are infested with mould and very dirty. The bathrooms are unuseable. Made a complaint to the customer service and they came back with an insult offer of Rs. 200 for next booking. Told them will never use them.

We had booked with them for vietnam,we had a horrible experience,they put source and when in trouble no one from mmt is responsible.
They had not paid my cruise tickets which I ended spending another $100
They just take the money first nd even the hotels they booked was very average for what they charged me for the trip.
Think twice or research and do it your self my suggestion.

Searched for flight options Kolkata to Bali. The price was ******* for two persons. While making payment ******* was deducted.
They show a certain price fare and at the time of payment excess is charged.
They take advantage of limited time validity for OTP hence without realizing you land up paying more.
On escalating the issue they put it as a System Failure. Absolutely pathetic and unprofessional explanation.

Useless site and useless employee. I have been asked to pay ******* for a date change of my air ticket. I got date change from airline directly by paying just *******. Employee have no experience and not compitent.

I booked a holiday trip for 4 persons from Mumbai to Kerala. My booking ID was IN 1610B7S*******.The sttarting date was 29 11 2016 and trip ended on 5th Dec 2016.
When we reached Munnar the hotel accommodation provided to us was of substandard category. Make my trip claimed it is 3 star category, In fact it it was not worth even 1 star.ur package was including complimentary breakfast ut they charged us for bed tea also.One of the room did not have an intercom connectioon.The chairs provided were with back cusshion missing. I sent a report to make my trip and demanded a compensation.Te response of make my trip is far from satisfactory, wwhen i followed up the case with them they just stopped responding to my mails.It is a clear case of cheating/fraud. And I want due compensation

In case of no response I intend to file a case with consumer forum.
By such action make my rip has ost a very old and loyal customer.We have done lot of holidays packages and hotel bookings with make my trip.and this case has shaken ur trust with them. And Even the dinner was only with dall and for desssert they provided fruit salad whiich was 2 days old one.

Took a bangkok pattaya special trip with these guys. Had an average experience prior to getting the tickets (that too after numerous calls, emails and coaxing), where-after the customer rep helping me went kaput. I had to call 10 times only to get my receipt, tickets and itinerary 24 hours before the trip! MMT fella categorically told me we'll have a tour guide with us giving us the briefings, historical facts and other information bits for the places we'll be visiting cus thats what a guided group tour for tourists is about. I paid 78,000 for 2 people for their deluxe trip, which was supposed to be 5n/6d but was actually only 5n/4 days due to the late reaching flight and early morning departing flight... clever move MMT. Here is a brief description of their chutzpah:

1. No tour guides on ANY of the tours. They didnt speak english even remotely for us to understand whatever instructions they gave us viz. Hotel checkout/in timings, reporting time, duration of site visits, etc.

2. Extremely rude people- "Oh" was one of the guides who would have been the recipient of a hearing from hell from me had it not been for her lack of understanding of the English language.

3. No introductions, explanations, accompanying on the site visits or anything from the so called guides. They only dropped us to the gates of the various places, told us to go see for ourselves, told us the coming back and coach departure timings. THATS IT. They didn't interact, they didn't describe anything to us, they didnt tell us what or where we are going or doing next.

4. They took us to only one of the 3 Buddha temples, and that too very briefly. They forcefully sent us to this stupid commissioned gem gallery in bangkok which has nothing but salesmen selling gems.

The only good things were:

1. The 2 indian meals they gave us, one as lunch and one as dinner. Rest except daily breakfast we had to manage for ourselves in a country where good food is a rarity.

2. Romly and Nikki the guides were nice to talk to, and polite. Other than that, none of the guides was of any help or assistance to us.

3. In Thai garden, the light went off all night on the 3rd day and we had to sleep in heat without any ac or fan. The ac was also situated on top of the door of a very large room.

4. In novotel silom, the pot leaked from flushing every time and the room was TINY.

5. They overcharged everything from hotel rooms to site visits charges. No visits were included except gem gallery, pattaya beach half day and one hour visit to temple and we had to pay extra for everything else.

Better off going with another tour operator with your money to get more out of your spending, or otherwise book your flights and hotels individually as cabs in these places go by the meter!

I wouldnt have cared to write a review had i not felt so cheated and disappointed with these mmt people:@

I had taken a Holiday Trip for myself and Family (Four of us) to Mauritius. Overall the visit and the way MMT arranged were good, but there was a problem with the HOTEL BOOKING. I had booked for TWO rooms since we were all adults. At the time of booking, MMt also confirmed as TWO rooms. However, on landing at the hotel, the hotel authorities booked us all four in one 'FAMILY' room. The room did have two Bed rooms, but the problem was ti had only one Bathroom. Hence it became very difficult to get ready in the mornings. The local service provided did try to get a change from MMT India, but there was no help coming. Finally we ended up spending all Seven days in ONE room and this made our holiday experience quite BAD.

My booking gets cancelled previous day and my trip got cancelled due to this. They are totally unprofessional and don't respond even after multiple calls. Uninstalling my app now. It should be renamed from "MakeMyTrip" to "unmakemytrip". Hats off for such unprofessional behaviour and no responsiveness.

I was questioned by an Indigo airline at "Delhi airport (Sir is your wife pregnant, They were above to charge me) As nobody questioned me at Bengaluru airport. Iam very much concerned about the question by Indigo airlines, Rules says even infant babies below 2 years can travel without no extra cost. And iam very unhappy about the seat not confirmed, It was on RAC waiting list, Though the seats were empty from departure. I questioned others in train as they booked 5 days ago their seat is confirmed. Iam confused about "Make my trip. Is it Make my trip fault are Indigo airlines ( Train PNR fault)

Hello friends I would like to share my experience about makemytrip.com I am using makemytrip around 1 years in this plate form mostly I have booked hotel. It provide me a perfect plan for trip and give me an good offer by which I can't forget it. The support staff who refunded the amount, followed me until the complete amount for which, I had to expend on a cancelled flight.

The support staff why refunded the amount, followed me until the complete amount is refunded.

The best thing about their website is that it show real time reviews along with the deal, as per my experience the reviews about the hotels about the hotels are so accurateas per the rating. I always recommend MMT.

This web time to load is very good.

I booked the hotel with MakeMyTrip as they show the best offers for booking 4-5 star hotels so I decided to go with them. But after visiting the hotel I found it totally garbage place its 1-star hotel and it's highly disappointing

Misleading/incorrect information was provided by assistant sales manager of MMT, Mr. Ravi Thakur, during booking of tours.

We (two ladies) have booked a group tour to Sri Lanka in March of this year. On reaching there, there was no sign of a group tour. The only two members of the so called group were two of us. There was no response to a number of e-mails sent in this regard until the matter was referred to higher authorities. However, no indication of apologies or accepting the error.

I made the mistake of booking another group tour for myself to Kashmir through Ravi Thakur. I was told that there would be 30-40 persons in the group travelling and sight seeing would be as a group and hotels would be different for different packages. When I reached Srinagar, I came to know that I was the only person for the package/itinerary given to me as a group tour. I was alone during the entire trip. Clarifications given by Ravi Thakur made no sense at all. I asked the management of MMT Does it make sense to leave a single lady alone for travelling and sight seeing in Kashmir.
In my opinion, people should at least think twice before booking a tour with MMT. They are least bothered after receiving payment. Moreover, if a person holding managerial position has no knowledge about the trips, what we can expect from junior staff of MMT.

I would want as many people as possible to learn from mistakes made by me.

Advise that never avail 'Air Asia' for domestic transit in India after (or before) flying in an International Sector. They charge you for extra luggage and do not honour the Int'l baggage allowance, which other airlines do in India or other places, with a proof of boarding pass/ booking.
I am flying in International Sector originating generally from Delhi/ Mumbai for quite sometimes, while availing Domestic Flight from Kolkata to Delhi (ticket booked separately). Today (May 19) as I was returning from overseas and took Air Asia (IAD 548) from Delhi to Kolkata, I was surprised to be charged heftily for the additional 6~7kg of baggage (21 kg vs 15kg). The Front desk Manager even refused to give concession for my returning student status. The experience was not good, comparing flying in with other domestic (India) airlines for the same purpose.

Hi,

I had booked using mobile app, based on lemon tree offer of 60% off on make my trip. The amount shown as off was *******+ discount leading to my booking amount being *******+, on top of this I had used SBI debit card and I was eligible for a 25% more as detailed in your offer.

Today I am struggling to understand, why have i not been given discounts as applicable while booking. This tantamounts to cheating and fraud.

Your call centres have a auto disconnect after 15 minutes. I called twice for the same and they put me on hold and disconnected.

I am still awaiting a revert on my compaint.

I had booked an international flight(a three legged journey). After I had payed the amount and and got the confirmation, the next day they call me and say the flight DELHI to CHICAGO has been CANCELLED FOR SOME UNCERTAIN REASONS. They could not book me on another flight for the same price nor could they do anything else blah blah. I argued for a while then gave up.
Later on I find out from another local agency the prices had shot up the evening I had booked the tickets and so MMT instead of stating the real reason they had outright lied to me saying the flight was cancelled off! And all this when many itineraries still showed the same flight!
Horrible liars! Worse still you cant relax thinking your job is done as they can cancel off as they please, especially if the prices suddenly rose after a while of your booking!

I have used this website makemtrip several times to book air travel from USA for domestic india travel, almost always it charges a higher amount than displayed online just before checkout. I do not understand why. Apart from all the fees, surcharges etc etc already added and displayed, they conveniently charge a higher amount after we pay the final amount. Apart from any international transaction fees that they charge and our bank would charge.

Tip for consumers:
If you are in the USA and flying to india, first try Expedia, priceline etc before you use this site, this site will show you good prices in RS. however by the time you check-out it would be the same or more than these websites.

I bought two flight tickets to Varanasi on MMT. On checking on Via.com, realised that i had paid fare 15% more. Called customer service and complained but was told nothing can be done since the fare keep changing. I cannot believe that I paid 15% higher. I will not recommend MMT any more.
