I feel sad because I see so many bad review rate to Yahoo Mail. I using Yahoo Mail about more than 10 years until now. Basically this mail provider never disappoint me. I feel safe with the mail protection. I satisfied with the email platform and structure. Sure Google mail is a strong competitor to him, but Yahoo Mail also not bad as the rating I feel.

I have used Yahoo mail for many many years, this latest change (update) is stupid. After reading "unread" email I hit the back button like always and the email disappears, it's gone to points unknown. When the app opens it takes you to priority mail, Why? Stupid is stupid! Yahoo mail has become an inconvenient app to use for a basic function. Thinking about changing my primary email app, will most likely jump ship this week.

I would have given four stars in Dec of 2023. However, political emails coming in from many places is spamming up my account. It needs to step up like Google mail to get rid of political spam that is coming from multiple places. Interestingly, it is spam that says horrible things about the current president when I am a dem, I just don't want it clogging up my inbox and it does not help to report it as spam or unsubscribe.

I get a bogus caption on my page stating no internet access, which is an obvious lie! If that were the case, I wouldn't be actively online. I couldn't send an important email. The chat popped up & I explained what happened, "sorry we won't be able to help you, you have to subscribe to our paid service." We are still in a Pandemic & companies are nickel & diming people for extra cash. Shame on them!

I've been using Yahoo mail for free for years. Decades. But since the inception of Yahoo+, they have been pulling back features and pushing users to start paying for the extra benefits of the Plus service even though most of those features were previously in their free service. And just to make sure that you are suitably enticed...in one day my SPAM folder went from 10-15 emails a day to over 80-100. Something happened. I contacted Yahoo and they dismissed it as the nature of the beast. BUT, if I switched to Yahoo+... Yeah, you know how it went from there. So, no thanks Yahoo. And now I'm out to find a better solution.

Some emails from certain senders keep going to junk folder for no apparent reason. And I can't figure out how to make it stop from the email app on my iphone. Overall Yahoo Mail is hard to use and not user friendly.

When I log in, I am repeatedly sent to a page that says I must enter a phone number to be used for account recovery purposes. It's also labeled as "required," and won't let me continue with the login without entering a valid phone number. I've previously encountered a similar issue where Yahoo was demanding another email address.

I found a way that I can bypass it and access my email, but it's a concern that Yahoo is "requiring" other email addresses or my phone number before it will allow me access to my account. Yahoo Mail is a "free" service that gets its revenue by adding advertisements to the web page. Asking for my detailed contact information on a pretext of account security is reprehensible. Ask me for a code word I can enter to verify my identity, or a series of verification questions like reputable companies use.

There was a story in the news recently about a social media platform that was fined for asking for phone numbers for "account security" but which was actually using them for telemarketing. I don't remember what company it was. I will NOT give Yahoo my phone number.

One other thing. If my spam folder is empty and I open it, recently Yahoo has started spamming me with videos inside the folder frame. Really? I check the spam folder and they think I'm so bored that I'm going to watch whatever video they put in there? Fail.

I've never seen so many useless ads in my life and right in the middle of all my emails WTF? Hate the lay out and wish they would go back to Older version. Have had my address to long orchid switch. Also not enough space to Block all spam mail that gets through despite filters

How do I go back to old yahoo mail as new one is poor. It is very slow frustratingly so. You now cannot search each mail box for a particular email but much search the whole lot. The slowness means if you click on one email after say deleting a previous one one often finds you do not bring up the one you want. I almost feel like joining gmail after being with yahoo for MANY yrars

The things that's driving absolutely bats is that when I've replied to an email, that email now stays open until I manually close it. It used to be that -- logically -- after you replied to an email, the original email automatically closed. Now you have to manually shut them, a huge and maddening waste of time. And at some point I saw a statement from Yahoo actually saying, in effect, don't complain about this because we're not changing it.

That was several years ago and nothing has changed. I only stay with them because of the horror of having to switch to a new system and either lose or move all the previous emails.

It seems that since Verizon purchase Yahoo mail it's becoming one big advertising Festival it's hard to read articles when ads are constantly popping up

This has to be the worst way to handle contacts. Whomever came up with this idea in your company should be fired. Total crap. The email system is not much better. If I could do an easy move I would.

Here are just a few of the issues with the "New" Yahoo mail:

* Inbox Layout cannot be reduced in size any further.
* Preview Panel does not expand enough (see above) which causes messages to be cut off from side to side. *should not have to scroll from side to side to read a message.
* The Folder List is cut off so full folder names are not readable. Expand and Collapse similar to Gmail would be advisable.
*Spam folder STILL does not give a count of messages in the folder so unless you click on it you have no idea if there are messages in there or not.
* Trash folder, also, does not have a message count.

I used to really enjoy reading Yahoo's news site. It was one of those places that I could find some interesting articles, and they send me down a rabbit trail of a couple of hours of reading!;-) Recently though, it seems like every headline that looks interesting ends up being a video. I don't want to watch a video! I want to read! Often I don't have sound handy at a school computer terminal, or I don't want to let my workmates know that I found an interesting news piece. Please bring back more articles, and I will spend more time reading them.

Have been a user (for personal email) for many, many years. Seems like lately, it's just been a bunch of!@#$%. It's been many issues, but today I can't even forward emails. I use Gmail for work, and have to admit I'm liking it more and more.

My mailbox on Yahoo was recently hacked! I have no idea how and why, but someone just used my login details and logged in with no problems and read all my emails. The customer service didn't even respond to my ticket... Not recommended.

This site has been around a very long time and have to say it went from mediocre and unchanged but ran quite well... to... worse! What a shame. This is a staple name in the internet but cannot justify really using them as a start-up email. Unfortunately I have had them for about fifteen years and am too integrated. If I could, I most certainly would... change email providers.

The new Yahoo Mail really s**ks! The new themes make quick reading and scanning difficult. The email thread feature doesn't work well and is very confusing. They got rid of stationary feature, and the tab feature is not the default setting. Uncheck the view email in thread setting makes the new Yahoo Mail more acceptable, but the new look and themes are still terrible.
