The Mr. & I went in to the Chevy Chase location on this past Sunday for dinner. Let me say that I've been getting Rigatoni D for 17yrs & it almost tastes like the very 1st time I had it (I never try a different entree), but that wasn't the hight of our visit. Are server -Tylik was absolutely AWESOME! Everything about this young man was on point. EVERYTHING! I'm going to ask to be seated in his area from now on, I just hope he stays long enough to see him again. We wanted to give him a bigger tip l, but didn't have anymore cash. He definitely deserves it.

I came in to eat and patiently waiting to be attended as it was super busy i was told that i had to leave from another worker because I was standing off to the side not in anyone's way. I was just patiently waiting to be attended. On my way out i spoke to Vanessa and she kindly helped me out in the best way possible. Thank you Vanessa and dominica the host for being kind to me.

9/16/23 at 4:20 I was eating with my family at Maggiano's in Tyson's, when this manager Joshua smith screamed at one of the host and made her cry and this it not the first time that he's doing this, what type of manager do you guys have?
We've visited Maggianos at the Grove multiple times before with friends and family. The food and service has always been good. On this visit (4/21/22) it was the worst experience I and my family were faced with.
We ordered the family style meal, one of the selections is a salad which we order. The salad selected was the chop salad. We had previously ordered two bowls and were in the third bowl. I went to serve myself and I took a fork of salad into my mouth. It was at this point were I notice something I'm shewing isn't part of the salad. I immediately spit it out on the napkin a pulled out the item and placed it on my plate. I started to pick at it to try to find out what it was. As I started picking at it I noticed it was stretchy and It looked like a gum. As may of us knife what gums look like…. I was disgusted, I immediately notified the server and asked to speak with the manager…funny how she took the plate to the kitchen to show the chef and returns to say "we'll make an adjustment to your bill". That really disappointed me… it was like a slap on the face… I just had a terrible experience of putting a disgusted piece of gum in my mouth that was in your salad from your kitchen and all she would say was "we'll make an adjustment to your bill. Wow!
It wasn't until I said to her that I wanted this incident record on her end of the day report, provide me with her info as well as her manager and us refusing to accept the rest of food that she changed her mind from charging us. It wasn't about paying it was the principle behind the disgusted experience I had just gone through and lack of compassion towards my situation.
Unfortunately this will be our last visit for ourselves and our family that witnessed this horrible experience on this night…
The food was delicious.
However, There we're no paper towels in the rest room. Someone did place a small handful of napkins on the counter top. No way would it be enough the place was full.
Suggestion: at least have a portable standing or wall hand sanitizer available. There was a portable hand sanitizer near the desk at the take out/pick up orders but it was empty.
I wanted to pay for my bill.
However, it took awhile. I got up & went to the desk where the take out/pick up orders to find someone to help me. But the young man@ the desk was explaining to me why he was unable to help.
Suggestion: Could he had call the manager to see if he could of help?
I proceeded to go to another area@ the bar where I saw my waiter. I could tell he was working. But I wanted to tell him I was ready to go & wanted my bill. He turned around & told me he knew & stated he was busy.
Suggestion: Could he have called the manager to see if someone could have helped me?
I don't just expect the food to be good.The cook /chef did there job but, I want to see & feel the the service. I did not get this at all.
While the ambiance is still pretty nice, and the staff are great… that's where it ends for me.
Firstly, the cod is a major skip! Don't even bother. Mine and my wifes (Parmesan crusted cod) fish was tough, and "grey". The "crusted element of the dish lacked any substance - it would be far better described as "dusted". The sauces rescued it a little, but flavor was merely "high street". Meh.
Ok: portion size. It used to be the size was a little overwhelming- not so now. The fish was smaller than it would be in a frozen Costco portion, which is ok when it is of good quality. Alas this was not. Then accompanying vegetables were scant at best. At worst, I'd describe them as near invisible.
However, the margarita flat bread was good. Not special, but a solid 7/10.
The deserts were also good. Crème brûlée was decent albeit a little light on the yolk, and a little too much egg white allowed in -( or it was from a mix) but still good overall. 8/10
So a mixed bag, but after spending ~ 40$ per head with only one alcoholic beverage, I now rate Maggianos as a soft pass if you want good altogether quality.
Tip for consumers:
Over priced and under delivered food quality, but for ambiance and service it was good.

They are prejudice to black people and they never took that long to come to our table, and because we brought the baby we had to wait outside, because they couldn't honor our reservation too many people. We were so sad? Why we had money!
The website says no reservations so we walked in, left our name with the hostess who said it's 45 minute wait. We waited in the bar for our text. I observed several other people come in and hang around the hostess stand. When our 45 minutes grew closer to 1 hour I noticed the other parties had been seated. My husband went to question this with the hostess and was told those parties had reservations! Convenient to use that as an excuse for overlooking our request for a table. Next time we will rent an elderly woman or 3 rambunctious children and stand right at the hostess stand until they are anxious to get us out of their way by seating us ahead of others.

What has Happened to the STAFF, while we were there 4 times they dropped silverware on the floor, Sloppy Services, UNPROFESSIONAL, where are the Italian Waiters? These new Mexican guys do not understand anything, Drinks, Appetizers, Salads, Entrees, Desserts, of course, the Entrees came out before we could finish the Appetizers, WE WERE RUSHED from the time we sat down, plus when you are spending HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS... they need a new MANAGER this place has gone downhill, you might as well go to Olive Garden, save money and not be rushed and have the courses brought out correctly...
I hope they can get back on track with a new Manager and Staff and Cook

We ate at this restaurant b/c my husband had eaten at other locations in the chain and said that they were good. Well, this one was terrible. Waited 20 minutes for our table even though we had a reservation and there was nowhere to sit. Our order took forever to come and when I tasted my clam chowder it was terrible and had NO clams in it, I sent it back. In the meantime, we ate the calamari we order but just as we started on that our main courses were brought to the table. I told the server that we were still eating our appetizer and he asked, "What should I do with these?" I simply said that we couldn't take them now b/c they would be cold by the time we got to them. He took them back to the kitchen.
We had also ordered wine, which didn't come until we were on to our main course. Service was terrible and the food was worse.
I decided to take my granddaughter to Maggiano's for Thanksgiving. We were extremely disappointed. They had family style and we had choices. I had the turkey and mashed potatoes and stuffing the turkey was mediocre and the stuffing was terrible. It was dried out. The sausage was hard And I ate one bite my granddaughter ordered spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs had hardly any sauce on it and the pasta wasn't cooked thoroughly. My granddaughter got a clump of spaghetti about an inch and a half and circumference stuck together because it was still tacky. The only thing that was half decent was the pumpkin raviolis, everything has changed there. The service was bad. It took us the longest time to get our mail and also to get the check.
I used to go to Maggiano's all the time about eight years ago, and it was wonderful, it is no longer wonderful. It is very poor.
I wasted $125 and hardly ate anything. Don't waste your money.
On 3/20/2016 I visited Maggiano's Little Italy, located at 6100 Topanga Canyon Blvd. Woodland Hills, CA *******, for a birthday party.
A waiter spilled a food from the dish on my brand-new expensive Ralph Lauren signature jacket.
The general manager on site Mark Eisenstein has offered only to cover dry cleaning expenses, stating that this is a policy of Maggianos.
I was expecting that part of my bill will be covered by Maggianos as a compensation for ruined an expensive garment and my birthday party.
Maggiano's has changed hands and it isn't in a positive way. They have taken wonderful things off the menu such as the Mushroom Ravioli al For o. We were told by a manager that they removed the item a year ago. We had it in July and in October. The quality of the food has gone down. We have usually gone to the one in Skokie, IL. The eggplant Parmesan was over cooked and did not have Parmesan cheese. If they had spent the money on a good chef instead of trying to update the look and style of the restaurant, maybe they would have better food. A long time favorite ruined by the company that now owns it.

The food is good and the bathroom is clean and the people are nice and the glass cup is very clean pls it you will love it. I Really recommenend to come it great

Maggiano's Little Italy in Kenwood Mall area. We went to eat there over the weekend with our daughter and Son in Law. It was excellent. The food taste great. Service is excellent and great atmosphere. Plus the prices are great for a group. We actually got to take home two entrees with the deal we got. I am glad we tried this place. We were going to go to Carrabas and now I am glad we didn't. Excellent. We will go back.
This is a high end italian restaurant chain and it's really about the best you can get for american type italian food. Never had any complaints.
