“Do no stay with them”

Had to walk out of booking in Canberra apartment in moore st canberra not as described. Bed you could not sleep on, not 2 bathrooms as described, 2 glass doors leaning against bedroom wall. Very dangerous if bumped at night will fall on person. Car park ridiculously small only for a very small car, not advised before hand. Hopeless to deal with call centre in the Philipines. Avoid at all cost. Can provide photos

Terrible management.
Don't screen their guests. Awful customer service.
Do not trust these people.
I can recommend another place that is professional, competent, great customer service and cleaners that actually know how to clean.

First of all, I am only giving one star as there is no possibility to give anything lower. Secondly, my advice is not to run as far away from this company as you can but to take a rocket, moving you even further away! Thirdly, take a look at all of their reviews... you will notice that the positive ones get a response, whilst the negative ones garner only crickets! This tells you EVERYTHING! Without going into the guts of my story, Made Uncomfy took our property over in March 2023. After the slick sales team got us onboard it was an absolute downhill slide. Our second guest broke into and damaged some of our property as well as broke into a locked cupboard and stole some property. He was given a positive review by Made Uncomfy who clearly did not check the property after he left. We had two guests after that who 'vacationed' with a door totally off its hinges as well as a room with a broken cupboard lock and our personal documents all over the study desk and floor. The apartment was cleaned after BOTH of these guests and the cleaners never thought to report it or that something looked odd!? My gardener actually contacted me to let me know that something did not look right, which I got my family to confirm. We contacted the CEO, Sabrina, who said that she would take personal responsibility for investigating what happened. She didn't nor did anyone in her team! Zero accountability. You are only as good as your weakest link, hey! What ensued were months of of to-ing, fro-ing, contacting my insurance company, attempting to write a police report and attempting to get this company to take some responsibility. They totally disrupted the lives of my family in Australia because they had to do the work and investigations that we could not do from overseas! No apology! No sorry! I asked them if they contacted the two guests after the offending guest to offer them a partial refund? More crickets! I have lost income, my health and my sanity. The cleaning was atrocious, questions were left unanswered, and I even had to insist on my own tradesman fixing the door and frame after their own tradesman was only able to do a job akin to kindergarten level. And finally, when we agreed to 'close the chapter' there was a very subtle hint in an email that I should not disparage them once our agreement ceased. Really? I will not be silenced and I will not be bullied! How dare they accept positive stories and try to silence the horror ones (and there are many)! This company has a long way to go! Do your research and avoid at all costs! Run run, run!

We booked to stay in a property in surfers paradise in summer and when we arrived the aircon was not working and wouldn't be fixed until after we were scheduled to leave so we found another property and Madecomfy gave us a refund. A week later we then had a $500 charge taken out of our account with an email claiming we damaged a towel hanger in the bathroom of the original apartment which we didn't stay in. The photos that we were sent were not even of the same bathroom and then after going back and forth with them and sending them back the same photos they sent us with annotations of the error. They then agreed with us and told us there was an error and the towel rack was actually down BEFORE we stayed there. Now another week later and they emailed us saying that they never took money from us because the transaction failed however in our bank account the money was definitely taken and NOT returned. Now they are refusing to speak with us to rectify the issue. This company is completely dodgy!

MADECOMFY - UNTRUSTWORTHY/BEWARE! We had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, unable to contact them via email you have to phone & even though they claim you will speak to someone in Australia you always end up with an overseas call centre. After 7 hours on the phone in one day the booking was still NOT cancelled. Repeated requests to cancel day after day failed until after 4 days we are now inside the 7 day notice period, seriously!
They delayed our request day after day, quite a deceitful process so we could only claim the cleaning fee as our refund.
Our booking was made with STAYZ, with MadeComfy being the managing agent. When Stayz were contacted they refused to help & I was advised they are a seperate management group & we have to deal with them direct.
Complaint to Dept of Fair Trading & we start to receive correspondence & after several emails received email below, however almost 2 months later still NO REFUND?
This is how cunning this company is, they will put it in writing & still not deliver what they promise!

Cost us a fortune due to their poor management. Sydney branch was a shocking company to deal with. Property was left in showroom condition while moved overseas and in their hands deteriorated so badly was delisted from airbnb 3 times. Faults weren't picked up promptly, cleaning was sub par, management was unprofessional and outright lies were told at times. Only response from company was broken promises, defensiveness and deflection. Would avoid at all costs.

3 weeks after staying at a beautiful property in Surf Beach, Bateman's Bay for 3 nights, we chased up MadeComfy (as we had not heard from them regarding a $200 Bond they made us pay). They asked for this $200 bond to cover "extra cleaning" if it was needed.
As always, we had left the home in an immaculate condition, but we were shocked and disgusted that they decided to keep the $200. They have provided no photos to explain why this "extra cleaning" was necessary. If we had not contacted MadeComfy, they would have just taken the money without informing us. Our family has hired Air BNB homes for many years and always leave them the way we found them, we were instructed to leave the beds unmade and leave the towels in the bathrooms, which we did. Also, before we booked this property, we had booked another one a few streets away from this one. Unfortunately MadeComfy sent us an email 2 weeks before we were due to stay (June long weekend), saying that they were cancelling our booking. There was no explanation and no attempt to find another for us. They could only suggest that we try booking somewhere else. In the end, we were forced into booking the 2nd property because we were desperate. Also, the Property that we stayed in was advertised as Pet Friendly, so we booked it, but we noticed at the end of the advertisement that we had to ask for approval, so we contacted MadeComfy by phone to clarify their position. It was then that we were told we'd need to pay an extra $200 bond to continue with the booking. What else could we do right? They really saw us coming! I have photos of the very clean rooms as we left them. In my opinion, this "extra" cleaning fee is a rort, someone is making money off this bond and we're being robbed. If we don't get our $200 back from this company, I will be reporting them to Consumer Affairs. If you are in business with this company then you need to make sure they're not making enemies of the very people that book your property. Our family, will never consider booking through MadeComfy again!

If you've had really bad customer service and feel sick about it, stand up for yourself.

Professional Scammers! Don't book with this company if you don't want to be scammed. They made a fraudulent charge to my credit card. I tried to book accommodation for a business trip with this company through Airbnb. I had to withdraw the request to book and inform them that I had already booked somewhere else because they were so slow to confirm the booking. I expressly requested not to proceed with the booking, but my credit card was charged anyway! When I asked for an explanation, I didn't receive an answer. I had to pay for one day! In light of the fact that I canceled the accommodation request before it was confirmed, this seems absurd! Both Airbnb and the host blame each other for the problem. After talking to three different people at MadeComfy, the only solution I received was the promise of a phone call an hour later, which never occurred.

The one star is because I can't go any lower. I give them a minus zero. I decided to use MadeComfy because I met one of the CEOs of the company and felt confident it would be ok. I was a little skeptical as a previous experience left me quite uncomfortable. I travel overseas and thought I was leaving my place in good hands. Boy was I wrong! The terms were that I would have a room locked, making it easier for me to have access when I come home. Upon my arrival, I picked up the keys from my dad to unlock the lock for my room. Turns out the keys were not able to open the lock. I had one of the keys sent by uber. When I opened the bedroom my heart stopped. My room was like a hurricane had gone through it. Next, the series of events, or perhaps I should call them little bombs, proceeded to detonate. The first bomb, the TV in the guest room was broken. They didn't even tell me it was broken. It wasn't till I enquired that they thought to tell me. Oh, how happy were they, thinking they were doing me a favor by buying a new one. A new one that is smaller than the one they destroyed. So they try to cheat you out of what is rightfully yours. As each day went by I was finding new bombs. My towels were used to clean their dog. I have had expensive hair utensils stolen, satin pillowcases a brand new Bamix set stolen my makeup palettes and foundations, and some brushes that are worth thousands of dollars all gone. One of my designer handbags is missing, and my clothes were worn and thrown back in the wardrobe. I wish I could add photos because you have to see them to believe them. They stole so much that I will probably never be reimbursed for it. Because MadeComfy expects you the landlord to use your insurance. The best one is what I found today... I found the metal piece the tenant broke trying to unlock the door. What does MadeComfy do? They failed to let me know that the lock had been changed! I had to ring and speak to Alan, so after talking to him he said he would call me back. God no, no phone call. Again the coward sends me an email. I decided to call back and the lovely receptionist (NOT) hung up on me. They felt uncomfortable with the context or tone of correspondence and the fact that I had shared my circumstances. Someone said in one of the reviews that Madecomfy has no empathy, Dido! They are heartless and all they think about is the money they can make off you. They hide behind their emails and respond when it suits them. Then you receive an email from darling Shannyn, advising that Alan and Kelly will not be taking my calls and I will only be allowed to receive any notices or instructions by email! Cowards!
I reported it to the police and it's classified as a burglary. So there you have it do not ever use MadeComfy because comfy it's not! And their cleaners are woeful. I'd hate to think what they do on a bad day!

Terrible experience with MadeComfy.

Some of the items in the ad (hair dryer and iron) were not available in the property. After we left, they claimed they couldn't find a fan remote, and even though after explaining we did not even know there was a remote and asking them to talk to their cleaning people (gap year youngsters), we were charged for the remote.
