I have recently bought a dress from them. Before purchasing I contacted them on WhatsApp and I asked them about the sizing and about the delivery date. They answered everything correctly and when I ordered the dress came exactly on time and I was very happy with the quality and with the fit. The dress was really handmade and explained on their Instagram.
In March of 2023, I ordered 2 knit suits and 1 knit dress, that cost well over $1000, however what I received was certainly not what I ordered. The knit dress that I ordered was supposed to be tea length, however the one I received was a mini dress , another knit suit was supposed to be a jacket and dress, however, I only received the jacket but never the dress and who knows about the 2nd knit suit. I began contacting them April 3,2023 and continued for weeks, although the event that I purchased the items for had passed, which didn't matter because, I received no response. Once, I messaged them that I was contacting my credit card company, they responded, by saying they would exchange the items, which never happened, therefore I contacted the credit card company again and they completed a charge back for these items. Once Mack Tak, realized that I had completed a charge back, then there phone worked and one of the rudest representatives contacted me, at which time I explained that I was in the bathroom and requested that they give me a few minutes and call me back, so I could discuss the matter further. Upon exiting the bathroom my phone alerted me that Mack Tak, had placed an unauthorized charge on my card for the exact same amount that was in question and originally charged back by the credit card company, which again was over $1000. Due to this being over the holiday weekend, I was forced to wait until the following Tuesday to speak with someone at the credit card company, at which time I was forced to cancel the credit card and have another one issued, because of Mack Tak unethical practices. I have also, been forced to contact an attorney, because this company continues to harass me and deny/take responsibility for anything, I was told that they don't make mistakes, so I had to be lying. I purchase items from Nordstrom, Saks and Neiman, without any issue, but this is a lesson learned. The only reason I ever tried this company, was because they claimed to have been located in New York, although the delivery is from a foreign country and all contact is via WHATS APP. I will never order anything from an unfamiliar company, that I can't verify is located in the UNITED STATES. Zero customer service! We are assuming they are no longer in business since we have not received any return emails or voice messages for months. My daughter purchased a dress at the end of February 2020 for her senior prom. She received the dress but in the wrong color (she ordered plum but received black). She followed the return guidelines and requested to return the dress... no response from MackTak. Several days later she called their customer service and spoke to a very rude man! He made her very aware of the pandemic that was going on, like she had been living under a rock or something! She told him they charged our cc for an incorrect dress that they sent her and that she had already reached out via email and was ignored. He told her to email them again. Nothing came of it. My husband got involved via email a few weeks later and got apologizes upside down and around and was promised by Lisa, they would get this taken care of when they reopened (at this point they must have shut down for COVID like so many others). This was understandable. We sent several emails to MackTak in June, no response. I left voice message in Sep, no return call. They are still online but no one responds to any of our messages. Everyone has been affected by COVID and having a shop take your money on an incorrect purchase is just wrong! My daughter didn't even get a senior prom! DO NOT ORDER unless you are willing to get ignored loose money too! Unless of course they are truly out of business.

I bought a beautiful long couture dress from macktak.
I was in the center of attention among all students during my prom. I ordered Jovani dress 3009 from Macktakmart 20 days before my prom and I was so afraid that my order would not make it to Russia on time. But I was pleasantly surprised that it got to me in less than 10 days. I loved the dress. It is amazind! I also liked customer service representative of Macktakmart who were able to speak in several lanquaqes including Russian. Thank you for making feel a special customer.
After purchasing a dress for $1300 USD Dollars. Dress arrived and is significantly different to what is advertised on website. Do not buy from this company as their customer service is appalling. NO response to any of my emails or request to exchange, refund or buy back. Please use a different website to purchase your dress from DO NOT USE MACKTAK UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
After searching hours and hours for a nice evening dress that I had in my mind I found macktak.com I found 4 beautiful dresses by the designer Terani Couture and called them. Since the dresses were heavy beaded I thought maybe they would be custom made and they are not available. After calling their customer service I found out that all styles were available and ready to be shipped! I was thrilled. Not like those Chinese websites that they have to make the dress for you in months and you don't know what you are getting. So finally I ordered 2 dresses from them and it came extremely fast and exactly as described. The gentleman's name who helped me was named Alen. I would also like to thank him here for his patience. I definitely do recommend them and I will shop from them again.
Four phone calls later, I am still trying to get a store credit for a dress I returned a month ago.
I gave up on getting a refund, and asked for store credit. Macktak says they never received the dress I mailed back to them. But I have the U.S. Postal Service receipt and tracking info that says they received it.
This has become a big hassle and I wish I had never bought anything from them.

I absolutely reccomend MackTak to anyone wanting to purchase fabulous gowns at a fair price for their business. Jimmy was extremely helpful with my order and the dresses arrived promptly and in fabulous condition. I will definitely be ordering from them again in the future as I have had bad experiences elsewhere.
I ordered a dress, which I need fairly soon, and the website immediately took the $350 out of my bank account. An hour later I got an email that they cancelled my order because the dress was out of stock. So why the $#*! did your website say you had 10 in stock? Update your $#*!ing website. Now it's gunna take 5-7 business days to get my money back, so 5-7 business days before I can order the dress from an actual respectable site. Don't shop here. I promise you can find whatever dress you're looking for somewhere else run by decent human beings.

I bought a dress on macktak website more than one year ago, and I paid for a fast shipping because I would live the country for a wedding and I needed the dress. The dress did not come on time, and it was sent back to the facility, but I never got the money back. I tried get in contact with them not 1, 2, 3, or 4 times but as many times as I can remember, by email, by phone call, everything. The answer was always the same, that they would call me back, that the request was sent to financial department etc. Up until now I did not receive a phone call, email or even an answer about how am I going to get the money back. For the reasons explained before, I will make sure no one I know will buy anything from that website ever, and hopefully this review will help anyone deciding if the stress is worthy before trying to buy. The website is not trustful or serious in any type of way. I am more that disappointed with the dishonesty presented by the staff, website and the customer service. I will never try to buy anything on this website again.
I ordered my dress two weeks ago and till now the order status still says 'arrived at packing facility. I'm afraid that they don't even have the dress or my size and may send me another dress.no one at the customer service reply to me. Does it take 2weeks to ship a dress
The first time I stumbled upon Macktak was in 2011 where I ordered my Terani prom dress. It was a delight talking to the customer service and I received my dress just within a few days. I again ordered a dress recently for my upcoming cousin's wedding, and they really haven't changed since the first time I dealt with them. The delivery was really quick and the dress is just more beautiful than the pictures. I can say my experience with them is nothing but satisfying.
Sent me a dress that I DID NOT order. They now do not have the order in stock and they refuse to refund your money. This is a scam. They probably send out the incorrect order often to keep you in the sale regardless of having the original item. Do not conduct business with them unless you want to loose your money!
After 2 weeks of waiting for a shipping email, Had to call 3 times to inquire when dress would be shipped. Was told all 3 times dress would ship next day. When dress still had not shipped, attempted to cancel order. They refused. Dress arrived 2 days before event, it was a whole size too small even tho sized by the posted measurement guide. Free accessories wasn't even close to the ordered earrings. They were cheap metal earrings that look like childrens dress up jewelry.

I've ordered twice from this site. They are very reliable with international orders (UK, London). This time they didn't have my dress so they emailed me and gave me a chance to exchange it. You can easily chat to them online and they're very very helpful as they can give you extra measurements for example if needed. The only disadvantage is the tax that we have to pay on top of the price which is obviously not their fault I just wished they had a shop in London! Definitely a reliable site! I love their Jovani and Tony Bowls dresses!
I ordered a dress from them months ago for my wedding May 26. I happened to email them a few days ago as they had not been keeping me updated only to find out the dress will not be restocked... something they should have known a while ago. They blamed a "glich" in their computer system. KEEP AWAY FROM THIS WEBSITE! Whenever I called to inquire about my order, if I happen to get an English speaker on the other line, they would repeatedly put me on hold or transfer and at times, never actually answer my questions.

When you emailed us you did not mention that you placed a special order with us or provide us with your order number from the start, it looked as if you were checking the stock.
The Jovani dress you have ordered is out of stock in Jovani warehouse but your special order was placed on February 21st.
And as soon as we received your dress at the store we had to constantly email you and leave voicemails on your phone regarding your order.
Please note, we never charged you for the special order, which is normally done as soon as we place the order with the designer warehouse in such cases.
We apologize for any inconveniences again.
But please do not blame our customer service for not communicating with you as it is not our fault that you do not check your emails and listen to your voicemails.

I've tried many sites this one was a dumb trick for new shooper. Just wasted my time.
Loved their NYC boutique! Especially since its only a few blocks away from where I work and often times I passed by the store and I never actually entered. So I looked up a dress online and found out that I could make an appointment and go and try it on. The girl assisting me was super nice and I really took my time and tried on a few of my favorite dresses. I'm glad I found this store because now I can find my favorite designer couture dresses and actually try them on and even better get an unbeatable deal!
I had researched and looked into purchasing a specific Tadashi gown. Other websites had some mixed to poor reviews. I decided to try MackTak after reading mostly favourable reviews.
I didn't receive an order confirmation email and decided to call two days after placing my order. The associate was very friendly. She apologized and sent my confirmation right away.
Hilariously enough... about 30 minutes after receiving my confirmation email, I received a knock at the door. The courier was there with my dress! I ordered on Wednesday night... received it Friday morning.
For those who say there are problems with their gowns (poor quality or craftsmanship)... not sure what you're talking about. I received an AUTHENTIC Tadashi gown. Not a stitch out of place. It is perfect.
For other Canadian shoppers - a warning - the shipping is free... but you WILL pay customs charges. This is unavoidable for MackTak - so don't blame them. I've been shopping online for 15 years - you WILL have to pay customs and import fees. It's the same as crossing the border to shop in Buffalo or Detroit and returning with merchandise. Unavoidable.
I didn't mind paying the $60 fee. MackTak gave me a great deal on my gown... the customs fees were secondary.

I ordered a gown from MackTak and did not understand why it was so small. Then I found 2 tags sewn inside with 2 different sizes. Additionally, the hanging designer tag had the size whited out with a sticker over it. The manager refused to take the gown back saying it wasn't MackTak's fault, even though they state that every gown is checked and rechecked before leaving the store. I reported MackTak to the Better Business Bureau; they didn't even respond their the BBB complaint. Now I know why they have a rating of "F" due to the amount of complaints lodged against them.
