So if you're 2 minutes late coming out they can charge you for it. If they are 2+ minutes late picking you up the price sure does not go down. As you're standing in the cold watching them turn around several times etc.

Don't work for this scum of a black corporation. They don't care about anyone but themselves. If you want to throw yourself into debt, Lyft is here to do that. If want to remove Lyft HQ, follow my name. We already have petitions to remove this unholy business from America. And we have more jobs than them. We have time and half after 40 hours and holiday pay, plus paid leave. You think about it.

Last night my Mom called a Lyft to pick me up from school in Littleton. It was dark and raining. This person Tyler pulls up with highly tinted windows in a Tesla. I say hi are you Tyler and as soon as I get in the car he starts verbally attacking me telling me how the pickup didn't go smoothly, that I put in the wrong pin, I had no idea what he was talking about, he was incoherent and abusive. Then he drops me off at a gas station and says let the next person pick me up. I don't know if he was on serious drugs or what was wrong with him but he should not be doing this job and actually seems like an unsafe person to ride with. I've never experienced this. Lyft néeds to screen their people a lot better. I still don't know what happened, he was so off. Luckily a lovely woman named Victoria picked me up and I got home safely. Also a really nice guy named Pedro. Had dropped me off to school earlier. Don't get in a car with Tyler in a Tesla, I think something is wrong with him and he may even be dangerous, Update: I've reported him to Lyft Safety. Still had his license info and they've investigated the issue with a good outcome. Be safe out there!

Tip for consumers:
You should make sure the lift office knows when they have questionable, unsafe drivers if you can. I am going to contact the office when I get the time. Thanks

It is now more expensive than Uber in Saint Louis during last two days. I don't know the reason but observed on the same route that I used over months.

The first 2 months I absolutely fell in love driving with Lyft. However, 3 months later and I've realized that, Lyft allows their riders to report incidents that do not occur. And if your alleged of any accusations at all Lyft automatically deactivates your account and treats you as if your guilty and some of these accusations are so outlandish that I would hope there is evidence being supplied to support the accusations. But I know for a fact that they are not because I was accused of doing something that I did not do and honestly, I know for a fact, that there was no evidence of this accusation. People will do really stupid things in this crazy world we live in. With no reasoning at all, falsely reporting an incident. Why do people do these things? I have no idea! But Lyft does not have any type of support for their drivers in these type of circumstances. Which is unfortunate because, if someone is going to be accused of sone of the outlandish reports that I've heard, the seriousness of these alleged accusations, you really would hope evidence was produced. But I know 100% they are not producing evidence and Lyft will hold the driver accountable regardless. Which is not fair for the driver whatsoever.

There is no way to speak or email support and any support through the app is limited.
The poor support model makes the service untrustworthy and unmanageable.

I had 2 recent experiences with Lyft as a new user. One was excellent and the other extortion.

My first dealt with Jean Paul and our party of 5 from Orlando airport to our Disney World resort late at night. This was my first experience with Lyft and I accepted our location pointer address, not knowing it was wrong and I could override with the airport. I did, however, put that detail on our request along with what gate we were at in the remarks to the driver.

Two prior drivers said they arrived but we couldn't see them, so Jean was our third attempt. We talked by phone and we found the pointer was wrong and he directed us to a better pickup spot at MCO. All went well and he took us to our resort.

I knew the price was between $36-40, and was charged $29 on our Lyft receipt for an XL van, thus still owed around $10. We decided I would tip him the difference, thus thinking maybe a generous $20 tip. Instead, he said the ride usually is $80 and thus he wanted me to pay him $60. I told him that was too much. As I only had $20 bills, I gave him $40 as a compromise. I really wasn't sure of the correct fare until our return trip, which was $39! He took advantage and I would never recommend him as he certainly knew the fare would be close to $40, not $80! I was surprised he gave me his card, as I am using it to report his dishonesty.

I am attached photos of both receipts. As a new user, I received $5 off each trip, but doesn't impact this review.

Parminder - Driving a black van/SUV. Their driver took off driving with my 6 yo still standing to sit, I had to yell for him to finally stop! Then when we got to del taco, he was instructed to wait as it was a round trip, instead he took off. I called and told him to bring my seat back, then he yelled at me on the phone saying nonsense like "my life is more important than your son's". When the company called me back, they said he would be in trouble, and they would get my stolen carseat back, then this morning it seems the opposite, and still no car seat. They said they are trying to have him drop it off to the police station, then they charged me $15 for him "finding" it lmao they are soooooo dumb. I am just going to have to go to the cops about it, thanks lyft for hiring such dangerous drivers! Some are good, yet when they are bad, they are horribly bad.

Warning!
If you update your payment information on your Lyft account, they will deduct $25 from your account and hold it until you use their services. Whatever is left over will be credited to your Lyft account.
Just imagine if all companies were allowed to do this. Seems to be a slippery slope to me.
The Lyft drivers are awesome, this isn't a bad company, but holding my money hostage until I use your services isn't cool at all. It's borderline criminal.

I started driving for Lyft in June. Was also promised a $300 bonus if I completed 300 rides. Of course I called them and due to the background check and the time they release you on the road, I was already 15 days into the deal before my first ride. I had no idea, followed up with them and of course no bonus. Lyft steals money from their drivers and passengers. They care more about their compensation than your effort. They have recently made it more difficult to make money with only 10 power zones now in Chicago where I would make 230 on average for 25 rides in a day to now $150 that does not include gas and oil. Lyft im glad I found employment elsewhere, YOU CAN KISS MY $#*!!

Honestly, I don't want friend like that. Price range is just ridiculous. If you try to get a lyft in the evening the price is going to be 2x or even 3x than the day price. So what, I need to pay 70$ for a ride? Come on...

I use Lyft regularly. I have over 800 rides and a five star rating. I always schedule my Lyft rides in advance to ensure I am picked up timely and arrive timely to work, meetings etc. The past week Lyft has been scheduling drivers who either cancel last minute or are so far away they end up cancelling due to the distance. Today a 7:20 scheduled ride arrive at 8. Totally unacceptable. I was 40 minutes late for work and had to reschedule a meeting. I reached out to Lyft and they basically told me too bad, but thank you for your business and stay safe. I asked for a credit and they refused. What is the purpose of scheduling in advance and then receive horrible customer service? If I was late for my Lyft driver I would be charged a fee. I guess my time doesn't count. I use Lyft three times a week I would expect better than that.

I have been using Lyft and have a five star rating as a passenger and I go beyond and above giving great tips. But the problem is that Lyft drivers are not held responsible for dropping bookings. They can just drop you if they don't feel like picking you up. You can be stranded like I am right now trying to get to the airport. I was supposed to be picked up an hour ago. One driver mentioned to me that the way the company pays them is the reason why they choose to not book or drop bookings. I understand the frustration with the company you work for, but if drivers are not reliable, customers will drop the company and nobody benefits.

Why you should use Uber over Lyft when it's possible? If you take 2 rides in a 24 hour period they bill you separately for each ride. They immediately combine both rides on a third bill until the first and second ride falls of your card tying up your available credit for up to 2 days. Extremely poor customer service and Uber does not practice this double drop off billing. Its why I will not tip a Lyft driver but will tip Uber drivers.

Driver could not speak English. Went to wrong area to pick me up. I texted and called him all I got was an UMM. Finally showed up and asked me how to work the GPS HE HAD NO IDEA WHAT HE WAS DOING. Got out of the car and called an Uber.
There are too many new drivers that don't speak English.

The maps always take a turn when there's a straight away street. Regardless if it's navigating through traffic or road work. It's a lot faster to take the route without the detour. This is Texas there is traffic everywhere taking a turn from traffic leads you into more traffic just to get back to the same traffic 🤯

I signed on with Lyft with the understanding that once i complete 100 rides in 30 days, I will receive an $1,100 bonus and the person who referred me will get $500 referral fee. After doing an live chat and speaking a customer service representative to confirm this, apparently this is not true. As a handicap minority who has an amputated left foot, I would work tirelessly in hopes of completing the task at hand. I actually completed it in 15 days but kept working because I thought this was a great company to work for. To know that I was misled to believe this is very disheartening. I am going to make sure this happens to no one else. I am on a fixed income and was expecting this bonus to help with bills.

I needed a round trip ride to my eye doctor's office. The driver taking me to my appointment was almost 20 minutes late from my requested time of 1:00 pm. The return driver was slightly better but he declined to take a short cut l suggested. I was charged $55.00 for a 12 mile round trip. Never again!

Last week I elected a ride share on the way to the airport and about halfway to ATL airport, my driver received a notification that a rider was added. The driver took the next exit so that he could turnaround to go back to where he picked me up so that he could pick up the added rider. Here's what I don't get about Lyft, why would you add a rider that will require the driver to change his direction, like in my case, required the driver to turn-around and head back in the direction opposite from where we were heading? We were already 15 minutes in route and the driver had to turn-around and go back to where he picked me up just to add another rider. Is it not possible to only add riders who are heading in the same direction that the driver is in route to? I was late getting to the airport because he had to turn-around and head back in the opposite direction to pickup a rider. Is this not a simple fix for you guys to make? Seriously, it's a problem that you need to address.

I use them for the first time and was supposed to get a discount for the first time usage. Instead I got overcharged and charged twice. Totally ruined my trip to Colorado. Not the driver's fault they did what they were supposed to no problem with them. At least I have a number to call and complain unlike Uber. Couldn't use their first time promotion either that's why I went to Lyft
