I am extremely disappointed with Love Holidays after my last two bookings, which have been nothing short of a nightmare. Their unprofessionalism and lack of customer care are beyond unacceptable.
### Booking 1: Cyprus
I booked an all-inclusive holiday to Cyprus, and the experience was appalling. I was placed in the messiest room imaginable. I raised multiple support tickets and made countless calls, only for these tickets to be closed without any proper response. After much persistence, I was told to fill out an after-holiday complaint form, only to be informed they couldn't do anything about the issues with the hotel or its staff. The hotel was a disaster:
- *Room condition*: Messy and poorly maintained.
- *Staff behavior*: Sexist and dismissive.
- *Food quality*: Horrible, with little to no variety. I had to spend over £500 eating outside despite paying for an all-inclusive package.
Upon returning, I tried to follow up with Love Holidays. I called *over 20 times*, repeatedly requesting callbacks that *never came*, despite receiving email confirmations that a callback would be made. This complete disregard for communication is unacceptable.
### Booking 2: Egypt
For my Egypt holiday, I was supposed to make the final payment this week (Friday), but their system falsely indicated that it was due the previous Friday. Without any prior warning or call, I received a *cancellation notice less than 7 days before my trip*! This morning, I noticed an attempt to take payment, so I immediately called. Instead of resolving the issue, the representative dismissed my plea to process the payment over the phone, leaving me *£1,600 out of pocket* and my holiday canceled. The sheer indifference from their staff is appalling.
### Overall Experience
Love Holidays' customer service is non-existent. They do not call back, do not address complaints, and clearly do not care about their customers. From being ignored on multiple occasions to losing money because of their incompetence, my experiences have been nothing but stressful and infuriating.
If you're considering booking with them, *DON'T!* Save yourself the hassle and book with a company that values its customers. Love Holidays has proven to be the *worst holiday agency* I've ever dealt with.

holiday
We had a very bad experience with their customer service during our holiday. Weeks before our flight, I've reached out to them to rebook our shuttle service from the hotel to the airport. Our flight going home have changed so I wanted to arrange an earlier pick up time which was at 2pm. The travel journey from hotel to the airport will take 2 hours, depending on traffic and that is why we do not want to take the risk. We wanted to leave as early as possible to be safe. I spoke to one of their agents, Andiswa, K to cancel the 4pm pick up and rebook us at 2pm instead. I was told that there is no guarantee until I paid for it. So that's what exactly I did. I paid an extra and I received a confirmation from her that everything has been sorted out. On our last day of holiday, I called the shuttle service company to confirm our departure/pick up time from the hotel, only to be informed that they did not receive any changes from the booking agent and it was too late to arrange a different time as they were full. I called loveholidays, asking for help but they refused. After explaining the whole situation, they refused to help, they left me and my family hanging not sure what to do, and they did not believe me that I had the confirmation even after sending the email conversation that took between me and Andiswa. I suggested that we will just arrange our own transportation and if it's possible to get a refund for it plus the extra fee that I have paid to rebook but I was told absolutely not! I never heard anything from them until now. No follow up, no apologies, nothing. Imagine, you're abroad and you're supposed to be enjoying the last moment of your holiday, but due to a very poor, inconsiderate, terrible service you will be left stressed and frustrated. They will not help you at all when you need it. To say it's scary is an understatement.
Andiswa, Khati - you lied and you let us down
Jabir, R - he accused me of lying despite of sending the confirmation, he refused to assist and he hanged up on me, very rude!
Janice- She also refused to help and impatient. She made me cut short the call by saying just send an email to them and let them know what I want to do next, (I asked politely if I could get a refund since they couldn't help but no one replied)

The following was sent to LoveHolidays as soon as we returned from our awful holiday, where we were left in a constantly flooding apartment for days on end, subjected to very poor hygiene in the room, terrible food, unchecked drunken guests, a stone cold indoor pool, appalling "entertainment" and general poor quality of service. The hotel (Grand Muthu Oura View Beach Club, Albufeira Portugal) admitted that their service was "unacceptable" yet LoveHolidays have instead chosen to close my case with no refund and I am now having to pursue a chargeback with my bank. This company is uncontactable if anything goes wrong (only through a terrible, virtually non-functioning app), does not keep to its own terms and conditions (it states on its own website it is responsible for all services provided) and provides beyond subpar services - see the video of the flooded apartment which we were left in for the duration of our holiday and the filth in the rooms and make your own judgement.
Excerpt from complaint:
" Our primary complaint surrounds the accommodation, the Grand Muthu Oura View Beach Club. As this holiday has been sold as a package, you are responsible for the quality of accommodation provided as part of this service and as suggested by your app all complaints we had were made to the service provider directly before attempting to contact you (which appears to only be possible via your chat bot rather than any direct phone support, which makes me feel frankly unsafe while travelling in a foreign country).
On reflection, there were signs from the start that our booking was not correct - when we arrived, rather than the twin bed room we had booked we instead were given an apartment with cooking facilities and a large double bed. As someone who travels for work I made the assumption that this was an off-season upgrade as this has happened to me frequently before - as we are close friends we agreed to share the bed, despite it not being ideal, rather than complaining about a kind gesture made by the hotel. We were told several times that we were in room 918 on arrival, including on a map which was circled with this by the reception staff. On arrival, we were presented with two doors both in a section marked 918 - one opened (the large apartment room) and one did not (what we would later discover was most likely the twin room we had booked). There were no actual room numbers on these specific doors, so we were led to believe that these doors were the room we booked plus perhaps a storage cupboard for staff use only. At no time did staff tell us this room should not have been used by us until the day before we checked out, despite housekeeping changing towels and making beds in the room and a "maintenance" worker (in quotation marks as this individual honestly did no maintenance of any kind to our knowledge) coming to the room - the hotel was completely aware that we were staying in this room, even when responding to our complaints, and at no point were we offered a change of room until our final night.
There are two principal complaints we have with this hotel - one surrounds flooding in the room which was never resolved despite 4 instances of me reporting it and requests to be moved supposedly not being possible to fulfil and the other being the quality and safety of food provided as part of the all-inclusive offer.
Flooding - on our first night in the room, we noticed that after showering, the water would not drain completely, and would come back up and leak into the floor of the main apartment. We reported this to reception as soon as we noticed it and were assured it would be fixed. We also made reception aware of a much less important complaint about the TV not working correctly. We went back to the room and the maintenance man appeared with a new tv remote, showed us how to work the tv and then left. I asked him about the flooding and he just mimed to me to call
Reception again. I called reception again and shortly afterwards a woman with a mop appeared who mopped up the flooding, but no-one addressed the actual issue with the shower. I called reception again and explained this. The maintenance man appeared again, ran the shower for a few seconds and then left. He made no more effort at investigation and didn't even bring any tools to the room - the impression we have is that he had no intention of doing anything more than running the shower very briefly to "prove" it was draining before leaving to do something else.
The next morning, inevitably the shower was still flooding the apartment. Please note that the floor of the apartment is made of marble, making this a very dangerous slip and trip hazard. I reported this again to reception, who assured me that it would be fixed while we were out and that moving room would not be necessary. We returned from our trip out to see that the floor had been mopped and was dry, and that things had been moved in the bathroom, assuring us that something had been done. We went for dinner and were out walking until fairly late (approximately 9pm), however when we returned and each had a shower we noticed that the flooding if anything was worse than the previous day. Having just got ready for bed, I called reception to tell them about this situation and was assured that a maintenance man would be sent up to fix it that evening. This never happened and we waited up until midnight for him to arrive.
The next day, again we saw that the room had been mopped dry and things moved, suggesting that perhaps the issue had been fixed while we were out - we were out until that evening again, and we both showered the next morning. This was our final full day at the hotel and this time the room was absolutely swimming (please see video) - somehow this instance was worse than any previous flooding in the apartment and it made moving around the flat frankly treacherous. I slipped and fell three times, even while wearing non-slip pool shoes, and frankly I'm very glad that I am someone with good balance and physical resilience as a more infirm person could have been seriously hurt. I reported this to reception a fourth time and the receptionist admitted we should have been moved from the very first complaint - she was very apologetic and helped me to get a taxi to the pharmacy to get medication for my friend who was now very unwell (likely due to the poor food quality, which I will discuss shortly, or exposure to damp, stagnant water, which hotel workers later admitted they didn't even know was definitely coming from the shower. We are both very concerned it could possibly have been much older shower water, shower water from another apartment or even mixed with toilet water, which frankly makes both our skins crawl). The receptionist assured me that the issue would be fixed and apologised that it was too late to move us. I didn't argue as I was more concerned about getting help for my ill friend and didn't want to move her too far while she was so unwell and had to fly the next day.
I returned from the pharmacy to find the apartment still flooded. My friend told me the maintenance man had yet again turned up, run the shower for a few minutes and then left without doing any remedial work. I was about to go downstairs again when a lady from housekeeping turned up. This lady is the only person during our entire stay who actually provided us with concrete help, and we are both incredibly grateful to her. She immediately called the housekeeping manager, who was also appalled by how we had been treated, and they both opened the previously locked door next door and offered us that for our final night. They were incredibly apologetic and called the maintenance man again. There was a language barrier but it was very clear to me that they were not remotely happy with how the maintenance man had handled the problem and they made this very clear to him - apparently he was insistent that the drain wasn't blocked and made no further effort to rectify the problem which prompted all of us (including the housekeeping staff) to worry about where all that water really was coming from. It was also very clear that the room next door is the room that was meant to be for us, with the right number of beds and no kitchen - the housekeeping ladies had no idea why we had been put in the apartment. We are incredibly grateful to the housekeeping ladies for all of their help and honestly they were excellent. However, this was on our final night and the rest of our holiday was spent in a flooded, dangerous apartment despite complaining 4 times. Each time we were assured this would be fixed and as your app is so time consuming to navigate with no phone support we trusted the hotel to rectify this, so we tried our best to concentrate on enjoying our holiday away from the hotel rather than wasting further time with your chatbot.
Additional complaints about the accommodation itself include a dirty duvet with dubious stains (see photo) and a blanket in the new room we were given which also had unsanitary staining on it (see photo). The tv in the new room also could not pick up any tv apart from German children's television.
Food safety and quality - The hotel advertises itself as having a wide range of cuisines on site, which is what prompted us to choose the all-inclusive package. It was however not made clear at booking that the majority of these speciality restaurants and shops would be closed during our stay. On arrival at the hotel, reception explained that we would have to pre-book to eat at the speciality restaurants. 3 appeared to be open and only 1 served food most nights. There was no information given or obtained by staff surrounding dietary requirements, or whether the restaurants would be serving a-la-carte etc. My friend and I booked the Mexican restaurant on the second night of our stay, the food here was good but the menu was very limited. The dessert option was 2 miniature cakes of differing flavour, no choice in the matter. These were not nice to eat. We had our next evening meal at the grill house restaurant. Again, there was no information about what would be available to eat here or whether it was a choice or set menu. We were served with a set menu consisting of a large platter of tough meat, with some potatoes and vegetables. I am a vegetarian and could not eat half of this. The last dinner we had was at the tapas place. This again was a no-choice set menu and there was next to nothing I could eat - everything apart from the olives and chips had meat on it. The same 2 flavours of miniature cake were served as desserts by all 3 of the restaurants. This could have been avoided if we had been given much clearer information by reception. We noticed a couple next to us at the tapas left immediately when they realised everything included bread, the lady in the party was gluten- intolerant. I would expect dietary requirements to take priority at a 5 star resort. Another couple at the tapas got up to leave, not realising there was another course to be served. It was very strange how these restaurants operated.
The worst food was unfortunately served at the Jac's buffet restaurant. Again, there was a very poor vegetarian offering as the majority of dishes contained meat. Even the pasta salad had pork in it. We came here a couple of times but quickly realised that the same dishes appeared to be recycled. We came here after not being able to eat much at the grill house. The theme was supposedly "international", although I wouldn't have known this on entering. We again didn't eat here as the food was inedible. The vegetable rice was stodgy and flavourless, the "sweet sweet pig" was frankly disgusting and the vegetable noodles were mushy. My friend and I have stayed at other hotels in December/January on an all-inclusive package and can honestly say we were able to have a decent meal. The breakfast was also very poor, with bread rolls being rock hard and stale, likely being the same ones wheeled out day after day - the pineapple was very tough on some days, suggesting the same treatment. Breakfast was often being cleared 30 mins before breakfast was supposed to end (10:00), meaning a mad dash to get anything edible after a morning swim.
After my friend and I ate at the tapas restaurant, she felt badly nauseous the next day and continued to feel sick even after returning home. She had not been drinking and had consumed only orange juice. She was extremely unwell and projectile vomited during the night, which resulted in me having to go to an out of hours pharmacy the next day (as it was a bank holiday), costing me £32.62 for sickness and diarrhoea medication for suspected food poisoning (as advised by the pharmacist in perfect English) plus 20 Euros cash for a taxi (the taxi driver spoke no English but was very kind, however this meant I could not get a receipt). On the last day of our holiday, she spent most of the day in bed unable to get up as she was so dizzy and sick. My stomach also felt very unsettled and is still not quite right over a week after we left. The cause is likely to be the result of the poor food and strange flood water or a combination of these factors.
There are a multitude of other issues which added to our disappointment and frustration during our stay. A big selling point of choosing this hotel was the indoor pool. This was advertised as heated, but it does not appear to have been maintained. There was one day where we got in and were shivering with cold. It would have been appreciated to have a warmer pool available when the weather was poor outside. It was also not made clear that the jacuzzi was only accessible in the spa for a daily fee per person. There were also no tea/coffee making facilities in our room, which we felt was a bit strange. I have never stayed in a hotel where tea/coffee facilities are only available
In the main body of the hotel. We instead had to use the pool bar or the instant machine next to reception (this broke during our stay). The pool bar did not stay open as late as advertised, it closed as early as 16:45pm one day (it was meant to shut at 6pm). We were also denied snacks here - apparently crisps are not included but there are many hours when you cannot get any kind of food onsite at all. This may be a contributing factor to some of the unchecked, dangerous drunken behaviour we witnessed from other English patrons- one example was two very inebriated women in the stone cold outdoor pool goading two other women to climb over the 14 foot concrete perimeter wall barefoot and then clamber up a very steep cliff - thankfully they achieved this, but one poor move and they could have broken their leg or worse, this was witnessed (and most definitely heard) by staff and no-one intervened. The "entertainment" was not much better than the food or health and safety offerings - highlights included a woman who couldn't carry a tune in a bucket belting out Christmas songs (who was unbearably loud - we chose to have our coffees in another section to try and escape it and we still could hear it very clearly) and a man who played the saxophone completely off key for an entire evening. We had no tea and coffee facilities in the room and were not allowed to take drinks to the room so we had no choice but to buy our own coffees outside (and the coffee machine was frequently broken). Another issue with the room was the AC unit did not work properly. With there being no extra blankets available, we had relied on this unit to keep us warm. We had no confidence in asking the maintenance man to look at it and just wore extra clothes. Only on our final night when we were moved did we realise the AC units are able to pump heat into the room. Even as we were set to leave the transfer was 15 minutes late to pick us up, making us wonder if we had been forgotten - the man on the phone was not remotely reassuring and your app was not remotely helpful."
Absolutely horrendous company that should not be in operation
Holiday booking
Booked a package holiday to Turkey with Loveholidays.
It was the first time I used this company to book a holiday. The booking process was easy and simple to complete.
Confirmation of flights, transfers and accommodation were immediately confirmed on payment. Documentation, information re: flights, transfers and accommodation was clear and explicit.
We flew from Dublin to Izmir, Turkey on the 23/12/2023. We had clear instructions re: connecting with our transfer driver, however we were met in the Airport Arrivals Hall by the driver. He was displaying a notice with my name and the names of another passenger group. I identified myself to the driver, he instructed us to wait in the Arrivals area until the other passengers arrived. We waited approximately 15mis, the other passengers did not show up. He escorted us to the car park, loaded our luggage, we boarded the bus, he then left us alone in a dark car par, while he returned to the airport to search for the other passengers, returning approximately 30mins later, not having located the passengers. He then left the car park with us, travelled back through the airport arrivals area, still trying to locate the missing passengers. The driver then proceeded to leave the airport, we mistakenly thought we were at last on our way to our hotel in Kusadasi! Until he suddenly parked the bus at the side of a road. We began to fear for our safety, it was midnight, there was nobody else traveling with us or nobody around. I asked the driver why we were parked there and he replied he was waiting for another passenger from another flight! We waited approximately 15 mins while he made a few phone calls. We did not know what to expect next! We did not even have the option of abandoning the transfer and hiring a private taxi to transport us to Kusadasi as we were well away from the airport, in unfamiliar territory, nobody around and it was after midnight. I asked how long more do we have to wait, he replied 5 mins. Soon after that he informed us we would be changing vehicles. Another driver and vehicle arrived and we started our journey to Kusadasi. We were the only passengers aboard.
The return journey to the airport was perfect apart from not being informed of the pick up time.early. The Transfer Company involved was MTS Globe Turkey.
I filed a complaint to loveholidays when I returned home, they passed my complaint onto the transfer company who dismissed the issue and stated what we experienced was "normal". Loveholidays did apologise. I paid €107 for this return transfer for 2 adults. I certainly would expect a reasonable standard of service, not the service we received on our transfer from Izmir airport to. Kusadasi and what MTS Globe Turkey offers as a "normal" standard of service.
The experience left both of us stressed and disillusioned.
We stayed at rhe DERICI Hotel in Kusadasi for 7 nights on a B&B basis. The location of the hotel is excellent with superb views. The hotel staff are exceptionally courteous, friendly and helpful. The hotel is spotlessly clean. It could do with a little updating and refurbishment. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, however the beds are very hard. The breakfast is o.k. Not a lot of choice but certainly edible. I would definitely consider staying at The DERICI Hotel again.
Apart from the terrible experience we encountered with the transfer from the airport to the hotel every other segment of our booking was very good.
I would be leaving a 5 star rating in this review if we haven't had this awful experience with MTS Globe Turkey
I don't think we will be booking any future holidays with loveholidays.ie
Further update: To add insult to injury Loveholidays replied to my review on Trustpilot informing me the issue was still under investigation. I received an email today from Loveholidays informing me that they are now closing the case as the issue is out of their control.
I repeatedly asked if they considered the standard of service we received from their service provider MTS Globe Turkey was acceptable, I never received a reply to that question! I am assuming that Loveholidays accepts that Fearing for our Safety during our transfer from Izmir Airport to Kusadasi is an acceptable standard of service.
As I already stated it was my first booking with Loveholidays and it certainly will be my last. I have traveled the world, travelled to Turkey on several occasions, used transfers from airports, never once did I fear for my safety until 23/12/2023.
Booked a supposedly dream package to miami to attend a concert with my adult daughter.
Booked on line, issues at end of booking process resulted in duplicate bookings, exact sane details, passengers, dates, times etc
Phoned loveholidays as soon as they opened, made out they would help me,start of the lies.
Customer services non existent.
Virtual assistant useless, and so frustrating.
5 days later still not sorted.totally fobbed off, haven't a clue, and they don't actually care.
Have tried different numbers trying to get someone to talk to me,found them quite patronising at time, continually put on hold,or cut off.
Even got transfered to credit control at one point. Person there appeared helpful, but now have my doubts as nothing has changed.
Credit control person said I should not have been transfered to them. Big RED FLAG!
I tried number this morning 30 mins. Still on hold. Spoke to several people over 2 hours. Passed from pillar to post. No one interested.
Love holidays should've taken 2 deposits. Total £58, but actually took this twice.
2 different booking references, all sane details.
Chose monthly payment plan concerned as they haven't sorted this they will attempt to take 2 payments each month.
Told by porchia that we had 23 kg checked luggage each, lies found out its basic economy, which means 1 personal item. So no checked luggage,no hand luggage. Who goes to miami with no luggage.
Told flights were british airways, later logged in to my booking and discovered flights are supposedly operated by American airlines.
Received an email from American airlines a few days ago thank you for booking American airlines, your flight to miami etc thought it was a scam.,as their website has apparently been hacked so ignored it.
Yes some BA flights are operated by American airlines or other airlines in the alliance, but have repeatedly checked on BA official website. The flights we are supposedly booked on are still showing as bring operated by BA.
Already so many RED FLAGS This is so stressful. I've been feeling unwell since this nightmare began. God knows if they've actually booked us on flights,or if its the chosen accomodation.
Sickening thing is I've since discovered BA offer payment plans for their long haul packages and shockingly same trip is slightly cheaper. And flights are plus 23kg checked baggage, hand luggage, and 1 personal item.
Have been on to my bank several times for advice/support. Wanted to cancel any potential loveholiday direct debits, but aren't showing yet so need to wait. Meantime I'm going to have to change all payment details for everything else, and plan to leave that account empty.
I know, having now read other horror stories that they will try to say I'm liable for thousands of pounds if I cancel, and it's my fault, but they can pursue me all they want, not getting another penny.
Unfortunately, due to several of my daughters friends having used loveholidays without issue,I honestly thought it'd be okay.
Big mistake.
Please AVOID LOVEHOLIDAYS at all costs, go with a proper company, with pleasant. Properly trained customer service staff who actually know what they are doing
Don't be robbed by these disgusting SCAMMERS.
That LOVEHOLIDAYS are total scammers with virtually non existent customer services impossible to actually get someone to speak to or complain to once you've booked .
Only interested in scamming you out of as much money as possible .
Will definitely be cancelling holiday from these disgusting scammers. Haven't uploaded proof of purchase as not sure how to .
I booked a rather expensive 9 night trip to Dubai at the start of this year for my husbands very special 50th birthday. (It was a complete surprise for him) I have used Love Holidays many times over the years, and one advantage I have found whilst using them, is the ability they have to deduct remaining balances from your account, over the course and on the run up to your holiday. Given this had been booked for almost 9 months, imagine my surprise when yesterday, (a mere 7 days prior to our departure date), I jump online to look at my check in details to find that my holiday has been CANCELLED!
In a sheer state of panic and at approximately 10pm at night, I frantically searched online for a customer service/support number, to discuss my booking with someone. After managing to speak to the sales team, i was told that they didnt have access to existing bookings, and i would have to call back in the morning!
After coming off the call still frantic, I searched in my email folder for some sign of communication, to find that their correspondence had been filtering into my spam folder. I had received a couple of emails stating that for some reason the final balance had not gone through, (despite plenty of cash available), and that someone would be in touch. The last communication received was that same morning at 8am, advising that someone would call me. At 9am the following morning when i finally spoke to customer services, they advised me that everything had been cancelled on the 8th, and that my money was lost. They told me that someone had attempted to call me twice on the 13th, which was lies, (I checked my call log), and couldn't give me an answer as to why no email had gone out, advising of the intention to cancel my holiday, nor had any letter gone out to my home address, in a further attempt to reach out. They also couldn't clarify why an email had been received that morning, advising me that someone would call me, when they had cancelled our holiday the same day. Absolutely disgusting way to conduct business, and I certainly will NOT be using this company for future bookings ever again! We will shortly be seeking legal advice on this matter, and will take our story to the papers. We rebooked our holiday by purchasing flights direct with skyscanner, and the same hotel with booking.com. I did look at Love Holidays' site again, and they were readvertising the holiday they had cancelled. Lucky for them they make double the profit! We went into Hays Travel today for currency, and informed them of the situation we had been put in, and they couldnt believe how we had been treated! They said they would have written to us first, and that cancelling would have been a last resort. Love Holidays aren't even regulated by ABTA anymore which is a regulatory body over travel agencies! This tells you everything! Honestly guys just pay a little bit extra, go into a travel agent who will treat you fairly, and look after you! We're over £1,000 down now. Love Holidays I hope your proud of yourselves, I hope the extra 1k profit was worth it!
None
I've had multiple issues and find the customer service to be extremely slow, difficult and often rude. They will not speak to you on the phone unless you are within a certain period of travelling. But in my instance, I was 3 months away from travelling and the connecting flights had changed 3 times. So understandably I would like to speak to somebody quicker. Replies through app take anything from six hours on one occasion up to two days via message. You also find that they don't answer all of your questions on message and that they repeat the same things as if they haven't read it and they are copying pasting from pre-scripted jargon or talking to a virtual chat assistant. The outcome of my flights being changed cost me nearly £600 because all so offered me was a 16 hour wait in an airport for a flight. I asked if you could re book and allow me to stay over and you refused.
Also when you make payments it goes wrong because I had an instance where I made a payment and the money was taken but the website says that I haven't paid. That took 2 weeks and your were still trying to take the money every day and offered no answer having asked multiple times. I ended up paying 2 times and recovering the money from my bank as you did not help
Asked multiple times for an email address to make a complaint and they would not supply. They kept giving me a phone number to call and when you ring it there is an automated service which asks for you booking reference. If you are not within 4 weeks then it will not accept the call.
Asked for a voucher to re book another holiday and was refused.
Had a call eventually as I was trying to transfer to another holiday and the cheek I was quoted over £200 more than they were advertising on their own website for the same holiday
Having asked to speak to a a manager I was refused on multiple occasions. Having asked to raise a complaint multiple people did not do it. I left a review on trust pilot and someone replied saying please send more details and we will look into it and I was again ignored. (You were hoping I wouldn't response so the review could be removed)
Final nail in the coffin. I get to the hotel and there was 398 dollars to pay as you had not paid the resort fees before I arrived. I have stayed there 23 times prior to this going with other companies and not once did I ever have to pay fees on arrival. I checked my paperwork to make sure I hadn't missed something but no. No mention of it when I booked and nothing on the paperwork.
I contacted the on-site resort team at love holidays for support who sent a screen shot of the 3rd parties website that you clearly used stating fees payable on arrival. But I had no view of that as it's obviously where you have booked it not me…. Then suddenly overnight it appears on your website what a coincidence. I then get told it's on the website and I have to pay it. Considering these fees were for cleaning the room and maintenance……. The room was dirty upon arrival which we had to clean. There was mold on windows and ants in the bathroom. The bed was not changed once in 2 weeks. Housekeeping didn't show up on 4 days. 2 times I called maintenance for a leaking toilet and broken ice machine to which nobody came so the fee was a complete joke anyway.
I said no to your resort team anyway and I have all your paperwork in front of me that states nothing about fees and clearly states balance due is zero. I asked to be called to discuss and received emails back saying they would not answer any emails from me now and we're not prepared to do anything. They said to complain when I got back.
So here we are. A holiday I originally booked for 2000 turned into nearly 3000 because of your inability to be upfront, honest and helpful. I wasted hour after hour begging for responses and help and you ignored me. You put me out of pocket and didn't give a Damm. You couldn't even call me to help whilst there!
24 times I have been to Orlando and never have I ever had so much trouble. You completely ruined it. I couldn't even upload Äa reasonable post travel query as site limits to 3000 character ( including spaces)
Horrible horrible company
We booked a holiday through love holidays months in advance everything seemed to be fine until due to an oversight on my behalf, we needed to change my partners name on the booking, not the person just the last name so that it matched the recently changed passport after we got married. Loveholidays charged me £490.77 to do this saying they had to cancel the seat on the plane and rebook it at todays prices, which seemed strange to me as i wasn't changing or adding a person, it was the same person different name, I contacted the airline we were flying with and they said that because we had gone through a travel agent we had to deal with them and that if the name on the passport didn't match the name on the boarding pass, they wouldn't allow my partner to fly, so I was held over a barrel! They also said that they only charge €25 for a name change! When i questioned this with loveholidays they said their supplier said that the cost they gave me of £490.77 was what we had to pay to change the name! €25 vs £490.77! Absolutely disgusting. What made things worse is the hotel we were staying at had planned construction at the harbour in front of our hotel, that started at the very begining of the year and is planned until 2024, all we heard all holiday was construction noise, so much for the peace an quiet we were looking forward to! We were woken up at 6:30am by the diggers and it lasted until 6pm at night everyday we were there! When questioned as to why loveholidays didnt tell us about the construction or give us the opportunity to change hotels because of it, they claimed they weren't informed and thet their t&c's state that they accept no liability for 3rd party actions! I find it incredibly hard to believe that they didn't know about planned work that started 6 months before we got there and is planned until next year! Absolutely disgusting travel company will never use again all they want is your money do not care about their customers whatsoever! Trying to get hold of someone to talk to for help is a complete non starter.
I would have been nice to know how unhelpful and uncaring they were!
