Don't trust the positive "TrustPilot" reviews
June 20, 2022

This site has a good "TrustPilot" rating, but I'm here to tell you those people are lucky, paid to post positive reviews, or simply haven't hit an issue YET. I'm one of the victims of the "Banned for no reason" gang. I've read the details of others who have been banned and this is a pattern with this site. Their typical response is "We only ban accounts that have violated our rules" but this is 100% not true. Their rules state:

1. Do not create multiple accounts. Creating multiple accounts for the purpose of gaming promo codes or rewards can get your account(s) suspended.

I suspect this is why most people are being suspended by the "compliance team". When you log into the site, it gives you the option of logging in by google, which brings up a list of accounts. If you click the wrong one, (not associated with lootup.me) it will go on to create a brand new account. This happened to me, but I immediately logged out after noticing the balance was 0 on the account and figured it wasn't the correct one. I did NOT attempt to do any offers on the duplicate account or game the system in any way. I'm not sure if this why the compliance team flagged me, but if it is, their algorithm is indeed broken and should take into account the activities on duplicate accounts, not just that they exists. Also why ban the account with funds, but leave the other account active if this is the case?

2. Do not create accounts using disposable email addresses. Accounts must be tied to a legitimate email address. Disposable email address will be blocked, and rewards will be unretrievable.

What does this even mean and how would it be enforced? Everyone has multiple accounts these days so how would they even determine that an account is "disposable"

3. Do not use proxy services or VPN services to access Lootup.

Obviously this is problematic and I agree people should not use VPNs to try and game the system. I did NOT do this.

4. Do not attempt to game our rewards mechanisms. Lootup provides its users with many ways to earn points in a legitimate fashion, and provides users with many ways to earn free points. If we discover an attempt to game our systems, your account will be banned.

Again, I agree, offers should not be taken advantage of. I did NOT attempt to game the system in any way. In fact, I only completed a handful of offers and some lootup.tv before being banned.

Either this site is taking advantage of people when they don't want to pay out or their fraud detection is broken. I 100% believe the people here who say they've been banned for no reason, because that's EXACTLY what happened to me. I pride myself on having high integrity and would never attempt to cheat a site that is helping me earn money in a mutually beneficial relationship. Yet here I am, posting about how I've been banned for no reason. If it can happen to me, it can happen to anyone.

For looup.me public relations, don't bother responding to me with the standard, "We only ban accounts that have broken a rule" then pointing to your zendesk link because I already know from personal experience this publicly stated company line is a lie.
