I hate Iready. One thing is that if you get two problems wrong on the quiz, you have to START OVER! I believe this is stupid. It is very time-consuming and causes anger, stress, and more. Many schools use Iready, but I believe it doesn't help. I totally didn't make this review because I suck at Iready. Plus the characters look possessed. This is very bad and will totally ruin the children's mental health because of one failed math problem.
I have to pass 2 stupid lessons for iready for math and I failed the second one because it worded it wrong in the 3 math problems it gave me. And I got a stupid 63% which should be a barely passing D anyways but it still failed me and now I have to spend the next hour doing it all over again.
I cannot believe that somebody decided to have a child, been in pain for 9 months, gave birth, raised the child and all for it to turn out to create a piece of crap with answers as wrong as the mother of the creator was.
I have to do I-Ready. Every. Single. Thursday. It takes time out of my actual good classes. That's not how it should work. But that's not I-Ready's fault, it's my district's fault
I don't like I-Ready because of the lessons. If I was given the option to skip the unnecessary cutscenes to make a little "story," I'd do so gladly.
And if you're going to even think about having cutscenes. Get a good animator. Get better at the lip-sync and voice acting. It looks/sounds displeasing...
And the explanations. Oh my Lord. I know how to do the problem, you don't gotta explain how I did it.
One word: tedious.
Why your probably asking? Because it gave me a question where a P.E teacher wanted to have the same number of 5th and 6th graders on a sports team and the answer was that in every team there was 9 fifth graders and 11 sixth graders. Another reason is that some of it's questions are badly worded and hard to understand.
I-ready is a so-called "learning tool" that is literally insane. People who have used it have suicidal thoughts and according to some reviews, even die. The algorithm is extremely buggy and there is ALWAYS a spelling error in each lesson. The "characters" are cringe and look like bootleg sesame street characters. Absolute dog$h!t!, I would not recommend this website to teachers. Also, the questions basically go like this...
Mr. Dlck('s sporting goods) buys 10 fingers and he eats 1 5/6 of them. How many of his juicy fingers does he have now? And the answer ends up being 17 b!tche$. DON'T USE.
Why do teachers make you do this. Its slow, bad, and has incorrect grammar. The diagnostic "lesson" makes me more and more angry everytime i watch it.The math lessons are no exceptions either. Like how will switching 10 x 7 make a difference? I'm being teached lessons i learned now. Because I absorbed no information from the practice on geometry (I haven't learned that yet btw) you can only get a question wrong 2 times? I thought 50% was barely a pass! Just don't ok, Literally any other website. Teachers, if you see this, rid of I-ready from your class, your students will be happy about it. Most of them. Imo the only good thing about this is the Learning games and the "Rewards" But I found a website you can play them for free (Refresh every time you finish a game. And i'm wrapping it up here. Thanks for your time

Lessons are seriously long, do not help, and cause depression and suicidal thoughts. Here is an article proving all of that. https://tultican.com/2018/06/27/iready-magnificent-marketing-terrible-teaching/
I-ready takes to long to do on top of all the boredom it should at least be shorted so it takes shorter time like a skip to quiz button so that when you feel ready you can be done at your own pace and still redo it and practice till you pass and it would make many people feel better about doing i-Readys.
IReady takes up all of students' time. Like, If I had homework, oh too bad because iReady hasn't been finished yet. Oh, I got a project? Too bad because I have to finish another 30 minute iReady lesson this week. It doesn't even help, so the time it takes up isn't even justified. Anything they try to explain isn't understandable. Their explanations make no sense and they don't even try to, they just give you a question and expect you to understand it as you go on. I always have to ask a teacher or go find a video explaining the topic much clearer. I never have time to do anything because of iReady. It's literally the worst learning site you could ever assign to a student, unless you want late assignments, stress, and frustration from every student who had to waste half their day on iReady.
The tests are so hard then you finally finish and the you get something that is too easy. There is a pizza game and its too confusing. Its like: i have $6460 and i want 23 pizzas and there all $7, and if you don't get it rite in under 10 seconds i'm going to leave
It doesn't help you learn at all, do not buy. It's an AI that thinks it knows everything about you but doesn't, it is unnecessarily long, if you want to read more about this read my petition and maybe sign it. https://www.ipetitions.com/petition/remove-i-ready
It is torture to my students and makes them hate math class and nobody enjoys horrible math work that has nothing to do with what they need to learn. The math games have been hacked and people have ridiculous scores on it.
Okay, so this isn't going to be "well, I have to do it, so it's bad," review. I'm gonna be honest with you, it's hella slow. Like, they take the time to explain every minor detail, the lessons take 15 minutes when you could be done with a lesson on the same concept in 5 minutes in IXL. Also, it teaches you how to solve the problems it gives you in a way you'll never find useful. So, in conclusion, use IXL instead. It's a quick death instead of a slow one.
I-ready is a waste of time and a waste of money. It forces students like me to sit through these lessons with crappy characters and they don't even teach anything useful in adulthood like finance or economics. Principals! Superintendents! Teachers! Whoever you are! Don't force students to use this cause of depression.
The lessons don't teach you anything and just make you hate it more each time the teachers make you do it. When I learn that we are going to do the diagnostic that is all I can think about for the next week. Just the thought ruins my weekend.( I am a kid)
The program sucks because the ai genrated voices suck the characters designs are so bad and the lessons always say you get a question wrong because "it's not the right answer" and the lessons take up so much time and it has no tools to help even though it said in the description of it "it has tools" and i think every one else hates this program
The website is very bad, it is to much direct with answer problems. I was doing some fraction problems when i got a answer wrong, the woman said: 'you could've got that one right, are you not smart enough?"
So many things that I hate about iReady. First, in the lesson quiz sometimes if you get one or two wrong you might have to do the ENTIRE lesson over again. It treats you like you're a 5 year old using awful characters that are "relatable" but are so dumb that I think their entire education was from this awful app. The diagnostic is such a bad way to determine where we're at because it takes 2 hours and at the end I just want to get it over with. Please, just make lessons that are straight forward and aren't so dull and cringey. Plus, sometimes the questions are wrong like this one:
I ready does not help kids learn if they are above 5th grade. When you first start iready it is way to easy. Also, ireadys system has a very slow loading time. It also takes for ever for the iready work to reach the users reading or math level.
Answer: It's designed extremely poorly. So, therefore it makes it miserable to do. It also doesn't help that the school systems don't give a shit as long as the TEST SCORES are high so they can get GOVERNMENT FUNDING.
Answer: Sweetheart, you might want to sit down for this one. It's because they want you to suffer an plethora of hours just for you hear an irrelevant explanation that you knows it's blindingly transparent and gratuitous to make pontifications.
Answer: Because its so goofy agh and boring as heck itself
Answer: I DO NOT THINK YOU ARE A DUMBASS SORRY ABOUT THAT JUST RELOAD THE WEBSITE BEFORE ITS DONE SPEAKING
