99% of the women are scammers trying to get prepaid for hookups they're continually block and then they come back as a another girl it's and overall scam there are real people there but very few to hook up with cuz there's so many scams
IF you get a response from any women it will be a working girl, which is fine but should be in Escorts ads, OR from someone referring you to a site " for their safety" which is a scam for credit card details OR links to more dodgy dating sites. Some other sections appear legit but personals are not vetted or policed for scams or criminal activity which is a shame as they started with such great potential. Please be warned there are NO legitimate safe ID sites.
Think about it. A credit card shows you're over 18 not whether you're a rapist or axe murderer! It's just another phishing exercise! I was looking in Personals. I sent out about 30 replies to ads. Not one single reply. Everyone wants you to text them. I did for several people. 5 Contacted me back. 3 wanted me to put my credit card info into a fake, unsecure site "for their safety". 1 wanted a $100 iTunes card up front to meet with me. 1 sent me to an address that was a closed business which was supposedly her address.
So every reply I have gotten from anyone on Locanto has been garbage designed to cheat me! What a horrible waste!
I got scammed. I was convinced as per her words in Whatsapp. Later, when I transfer the money to her bank, she ran away without responding to my chat. She didn't give service, rather I was cheated. The sad part - I transferred the money twice (She says her Paytm isn't working and has problems). Don't believe this application and their advertisements. These are full of scammers, who wants to steal your money for their survival.

Being a paid advertiser in the Personals section for many years I know what i'm talking about. Since the closure of craigslist locanto have gotten greedy. Prices for posting have gone up a 7 day paid advert is seen for 1 or 2 days then is buried deep and no more views or responses. They now want you to pay again to move your ad to the top after 2 days. WTF you guys need to change how you do things. So many fake ads and they do nothing about it.
There is seemingly no point in looking at, posting, or responding to ads on Locanto as the site is filled with fake ads and scammers (like so many others have said). The whole thing just feels hollow and lifeless as if it were some abandoned early 2000s site lost to time.
To anyone that uses this site Please be aware that this site is used for the purpose of hookers and scams one of the biggest scams I got was 2 days ago someone claiming to be a police officer and he sent me over to his police chief. Long story short they wanted me to pay $2,000 for a legal case against me to go away and this was about a missing girl. Guys don't fall for this because the police are not going to demand you to pay money about a missing girl they will just come to your door knock it down and arrest you straight up. Anyways I hope this is helpful for people looking for information on this site why this site has not been shut down yet is beyond me say away
