Underwriting is unable to process mortgage applications in timely manner. Staff don't keep track of forms submitted, follow email threads and can't even transcribe your financials correctly onto the loan documents. RUN elsewhere if you want an actual mortgage loan processed.

The following in its entirety is strictly my opinion: As a real estate investor that has been in business for over 20 years, I have had the most horrible experience with the San Antonio/Stone Oak office. I recently sold a house where the buyer had obtained financing through their office. Loan took 51 days instead of 30 to close. Delay after delay. Classic dictionary definition of "incompetent". Impacts not only me as seller buy also buyer who is a veteran. On top of that I was told lie after lie and fed misinformation. Very unprofessional. A complaint letter to their office went nowhere. There are plenty of excellent and professional lenders in San Antonio. I would not consider using The San Antonio/Stone Oak branch of LoanDepot for any mortgage loans.

I have been harassed by them in my PERSONAL email address! Their management is pathetic. They have more than shown me this fact, numerous times! I am a disabled veteran, I recommend to all veterans, absolutely think twice about using them for a mortgage loan.

Terrible process. I've had 4 mortgages in my life and 2 refi's. Loandepot took far longer than any of the others. Rocket had me processed in 20 days. Loandepot has taken almost 4 months. There is nothing, strange or different on my loan. I have good credit, I responded to all requests the same day.

My rep was okay, but had to apologize for 3 months straight. There was always "some other department" that was causing delays.

It'll cost me a few thousand, but I intend to refi again ASAP. If new business is treated this way, how will I be treated if there were any problems later? I don't care to find out. Rocket and Better were both good companies.

I noticed a rather large rating discrepancy when comparing reviews by "mortgage review" websites to user reviews like Yelp. Yelp and similar sites all seem to score loandepot under a 3. Yet the reviews written by so called experts tend to be 4+.

I re-financed my mortgage in 2018 with Loan Depot. I started the process and lost my husband a week later. My loan coordinator was extremely helpful and made everything go smoothly as I was in a really bad place emotionally. They were true to their word and lowered my rate, and mortgage payment. I took out $25,000 extra to do some home improvements as well. It was a very easy and fast experience as I had never done a re-finance before. They came to my home for the closing and were very nice and respectful of my family and what we were going through. I lowered my rate to 4.5%. I have never experienced any problem making my payment online. My Insurance and Taxes are in my mortgage payment and Loan Depot has always made the payment annually and on time. I have only positive to say about them, the process, their customer service and rates.

We got nothing done with them. Lost a lot of money to them and they say they could not give ot back basically they scammed us Promising a lot up front to get you hooked then don't do what they say and lie about other things. The company is a joke and a repeat off. The worst I have ever dealt with

The loan took longer to process than any other mortgage we have had- and that was at least ten.
Your account sign-in is your email address. My email was hacked and of the MANY companies I had to contact to change it, they were the absolute worst. The fools in customer service are idiots. It took three months to get it straightened out. We OWN a vacant lot next to the lot our home is built on. The idiots have assumed the responsibility of collecting escrow from us to pay taxes for the vacant lot.
We are in another battle with them to correct THEIR IGNORANCE. STAY AWAY!

Did a refi with them. Wish I didnt. I would s3nd in paperwork they needed just to have to keep sending them the same paperwork over and over. Also, was told dont worry about the interest rate being so high, the 2 people I worked with told me they would keep and eye on it and adjust it when it went down. I have called them a few times so they could adjust it, ive sent emails, no one has contacted me and it has not been adjusted. I was lied to. Ive warned you, do deal with them. My next refi or sale, buy, wont be with them ever.
