When I was searching for a specific product, such as a specific and discontinued Stanley 10 Compartment Toolkit, I came across one listing from Litvon that was selling for $20.48, which was way cheaper than what it's going for as of now. In fact, it costs half of what it's going for today.
At the time, I thought the pricing wasn't updated or they were selling it at the market price of around $20, as that is what it costs before discontinuing for the newer model.
(See Tolarian Community College's video called "Everyday Products for Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon, and other TCG Players" as a reference to the Stanley's original price)
However, as the old phrase states: "If it's too good to be true, then it probably is". And the scenario I'm in is a prime example of that.
Back on topic, I saw the Stanley 10 Compartment Toolkit being sold for cheap and took on the opportunity to purchase it. When I was making the purchase, I input my Credit Card info as I didn't think much of it and assumed I was using it to purchase the product. After I placed my info and submit it, I get the message: "Credit card error, Please try again later," or something along those lines. (Sorry I couldn't remember the exact phrase from the top of my head. It has been 2 months or so). Also, I never got the product or any confirmation of the purchase being made. (Shocker...)
After trying it again a few times, I was annoyed and tried calling their Customer Service and heard nothing. Afterwards, I looked up Litvon further and to my horror, I found out it was a scam site and I realized I disclosed my card. Ever since then, I've been closely monitoring all my transactions out of fear of signs of fraud and nothing came up. In fact, I didn't see any transactions of the Stanley purchase and thought I'm okay as no suspicious transactions were made.
That is until today when I've seen transactions made for Chipotle, Walgreens, and Moneylion OUT OF STATE! Upon seeing this, I immediately contacted my bank, turned off my card (Which I admit, I should've done in the first place), and disputed the unauthorized fraud. From the moment I saw the transactions, I immediately knew it had to be from none other than Litvon.
Looking back at the previous reviews, I was originally about 99% sure it was a scam but after what happened, I am now 100% sure Litvon is a scam. For those who consider ordering from the Litvon site, beware and stay away! For those that did input their card info when trying to make the purchase, turn off your card and contact your bank as soon as possible! I don't want anyone to go through what I went through. Right now, I'm currently awaiting for the bank to finish their investigations and hopefully return back the money spent by these scammers. But more importantly, I want nothing more than these scammers to be taken down!
To summarize, Litvon is a complete scam and I hope their operation is put to an end soon. And do be cautious of certain shopping sites in the future. (Definitely research on the web beforehand).
Remember. If something is too good to be true, chances are, they probably are.
