This is undeniably a bad practice and illegitimate process, of course it should be expected that when I get my refund that is when I will be fully satisfied and put a review, and I should never be forced to do so as if I'm negotiating something that I'm not due.
Please consider refunding my money, and I will put a review, if not I will have no choice but to publish this illegal practice in the public domain.
Maria
PLEASE CAN SOMEONE CONSIDER THE AMOUNT OF STRESS THIS HAS GENERATED
This is the worse company ever!DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!
At the start of november i order a glass coffee table, my expected delivery date was 27th November, I placed my order on the 31st October.
By the 14th of November, they provided me with a tracking number that never updated, it stated "we are expecting your parcel" it remained like this until today.
By the 20th November I emailed them asking for an update regarding my order, they told me that it is still in transit and since the order is coming from China there is no update as of yet. The following day, I received an email from them stating my item has been delivered signed and for on the 17th November.
I emailed them immediately stating I just received your email stating my item was delivered but I do not have this, I live in a block flats, and there are several flats around my area, could you tell me where it was delivered so I can check. They emailed me back immediately stating the email was incorrect, they have some sort of system failier and that my item is still in transit and I should wait 10 more days for the item to arrive and it will be delivered by 27th November as initially stated, so I did wait.
I emailed them again on the 27th November as I still did not receive my table, they then emailed back and stated, they will investigate and get back to me, on the 30th November they told me that my item was delivered and signed for on the 17th November, if I have not received it I should contact the delivery company.
I asked them to provide me with the delivery company contact details so I can contact them, they never provided me with it, I tried finding the delivery company details online emailed them as I couldn't find their number, until today 31s December no response. I went back to litfad asking for further details, they simply stated, "your item was delivered at the address provided and there is nothing further they can do"
They sent me some sort of proof of delivery with a picture of a box left some where unfamiliar to me and a line as a form of signature, I went around to all 10 blocks of flats around my area and no one received the parcel.
As I purchased the order through klarna, I complained via them regarding my missing order, they said they will do their investigation. I received a response from klarna on 29th December stating that litfad stated they delivered your item to your address so nothing more can be done my complaint was declined.
I spent £135 on this table, waited weeks for it, for it not to be delivered to my address, spent hours back and forth with litfad and to be left completely and utterly disgusted and disappointed by their lack of customer service skills.
They simply took my money, and left me with nothing to show for. Until today, I still do not have a coffee table.
Whatever you do, do not purchase from this company, they are scammers and they should be reported and their false advertisement online should be shut down! DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY TO THESE THEIVES.
This website should be shut down
None
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE CON ARTISTS - READ ALL OF THE REVIEWS
We bought a bedframe through Litfad as it was advertised with a lot of storage. The bed looked great on the photographs and the bed was on sale from £900 to £600, even though it was a 6 week wait we thought we should wait that period of time as the extra storage would be worth the wait.
6 weeks later the bedframe started arriving, some parts one-week, other parts a few weeks later. Once it all had arrived and we opened everything to start building, the obvious place to start would be looking at the instructions…this seemed to complicate things more. The instructions had no words/instructions, only 4 pictures of the bedframe fully built in black and white. When I emailed Litfad to provide better instructions they sent through the same document but in colour.
I am quite the handywoman and so decided to give it a go even with the very unhelpful instructions. I pulled out the first two sections of the wood and the screws to connect them to find that the holes didn't line up with the brackets and were also too big for the screws. It could not be assembled.
When inspecting everything that came for the bedframe, we discovered that there were scratched all over, chipped bits of wood and in fact the wood was of such a poor quality that it would be easy to snap and wouldn't support anybody who lay on it.
I emailed Litfad asking for a full refund as per their refund policy. They responded by offering a 5% refund and they would send replacement parts. After asking for a full refund the first time, I shouldn't have to repeat myself - but I found that I had to. Repeatedly. They kept offering a small percentage (slowly increasing) and to send replacement parts.
Eventually, after weeks of going around in circles, they offered to pay the full refund if we pay the postage and packaging for every package sent to us. Giving that this is in China, and arrived in about 5 massive boxes, I reread the refund policy to ensure that I wasn't responsible for paying this. Just as I thought, the party responsible for the damaged items were responsible for the postage and packaging costs, but when this was highlighted to Litfad they reverted to offering a small percentage of the refund.
Just as the other reviews, after a few more weeks of complaining and fighting for our money back, we were told we were getting passed through to the VIP team, but they offered the same thing. We got up to a 65% refund and at this point were too exhausted to fight anymore. They sent through the 65% refund, and we gave the bedframe away for free… We have learnt from this situation though - NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE. THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY IN THE WORLD AND I AM SURE THEY JUST PROFIT ON SENDING BACK PARTIAL REFUNDS TO ALL CUSTOMERS.
Refund policy stated full refund but litfad would only provide partial
Bed frame
We purchased a table on 10th Jan 23. The delivered was delayed due to "Chinese new year" and arrived on 1st April.
The item arrived DIFFERENT from the photos and with SCRATCH marks all over it + a DEEP DENT in one of the legs. They said that we had send the item back TO CHINA for a refund. In the same email they said "it is very expensive to send a heavy product to China" and started offering 10% for us to keep the DAMAGED table.
The website is very misleading re "easy returns" and doesn't mention China anywhere!
After multiple emails where they were refusing to refund us or collect the damaged item they sent, we started a CLAIM on PayPal.
It took us just a few minutes to document this absurd experience and complete the claim.
Litfad then BLACKMAILED us to write a good review here (they even sent the link!) so they would send our money back.
We read a review saying that it worked for someone and so we wrote a 5 stars review and sent the screenshot. They promptly alleged that the money was "locked" because of the Paypal claim so we should cancel the claim to receive our money
At this point we already knew they were SCAMMERS, so I deleted the review and contact Paypal about the blackmail.
Less than a week later, our case with PayPal was successful and we were refunded the full price (and finally donated this horrible table they sent to us).
Don't purchase anything from this company! They are SCAMMERS!
If you are experiencing any issues, contact Paypal/credit card straightaway and don't accept Litfad's offers (at some point they were offering us 40% to keep the table and cancel the claim).
This caused us lot of distress as we invested 500£ in a table that was beautiful in their website but a total low quality DAMAGED replica on delivery (and offered to replace the faulty part -?)
I uploaded some photos to share my horrible experience contacting their costumer services and the terrible options they offered us without taking responsibility for sending a different and faulty product
This company is a scam! They send faulty and fake products and has a misleading website. The products are sent from China and there is no return policy!
A DAMAGED table
Ordered a $1100 wardrobe in September 2022 from these clowns. Communication was good, they notified me when it shipped and gave me tracking information. It was being sent in 3 large boxes. I also paid for the optional insurance but clearly that was a scam too.
Then when it cleared customs, one box ended up delivered in New Jersey (I'm in Ohio), one I received with very minor cosmetic damage, and one FedEx refused to even deliver due to damage incurred during shipping. Litfad emailed saying the address was wrong (the tracking clearly stated item was damaged) and requested my accurate address or it would be returned to the warehouse and I would lose out on my purchase.
I confirmed my address and they agreed to reship the two missing boxes. This was around December I believe. I finally receive a call from Estes freight delivery that they have a delivery for me so I meet the driver in our industrial park and he opens the truck to find he has the paperwork but no packages in the trailer. He says they will resolve it and redeliver. The following week I get a notification from Litfad saying my package was delivered by ABF and asking me to fill out a survey regarding my experience.
We have cameras at both of our gated entrances and I pulled them up. There were no freight deliveries (attempts or otherwise) at our location that day. I emailed them and they said ABF delivered it so I need to contact ABF to resolve. So I contact ABF and ABF promptly responds saying the packages were damaged in transmit and per instruction from the shipper, the packages were destroyed. They also informed me that the shipper had filed a damage claim on the packages so I should definitely make sure they resolved the issue with me. They were even nice enough to send me the photo of the damaged shipment which was sent to their customer Baycheer to determine the next course of action.
I contacted Litfad with this information and they inform me the rest of my package was still on the way and gave me a FedEx tracking number. That package made it clear up to the point where it was Out for Delivery at my local hub (Vandalia, OH) and suddenly it said delayed and it ended up being returned to the original shipper in California with no explanation.
Now it is March 23rd and I have yet to be contacted by Litfad to arrange reshipment of the items I still haven't received so I emailed Litfad back to request a refund and just give up on this transaction. Litfad is now claiming they sent me the product, refusing to refund my money after 6 months and still no product received (well technically 1/3 of the product received) and stating if I want a refund I will have to ship the product back to them in China out of my own pocket. They keep saying they will send me the missing pieces but don't seem to understand I'm not missing one or two pieces. I'm missing 2/3 of a very large wardrobe.
This company is a joke. I wish I had looked up reviews before I was told to order it. Now I'm just trying to figure out if we threw away $1300.
Not reading the reviews on this retailer is a big mistake.
I shamefully did not read the reviews on this retailer prior to ordering a dining table costing me just under £700 GBP. I had only read the reviews after my order had already been dispatched and to say the least I was terrified. I remained optimistic and hoped that I would be an exception to the majority and my dining table would turn up just as it looked on the online website images.
I ask you hold off from looking at the photo's I have attached prior to you reading the below which details my experience with Litfad.
I received the dining table in 2 separate deliveries both on the same day, firstly to note the delivery came in a wooden box which is practically impossible to hack through unless you have a building grade saw, I was optimistic at this point because surely if they go through the effort of protecting the dining table in this way for delivery the quality would be of a high standard right? Oh I was so deeply naive.
The dining table which was delivered to my home was so unlike the image I saw on their website, I was in shock and disbelief. It looked like a secondary school student art project, a dining table which I had forked out £700 GBP for. I am fuming to say the least.
I shall list below the main issues wrong with the dining table:
- Glossy: I had ordered a matte dining table and per the description on their site the dining table was to be matte, it was not. The dining table was so shiny I could see my entire reflection.
- Quality: the wood they had used was clearly freshly chopped off a tree and had yet to be treated, it was soo crumbly and you could if you tried scratch the entire table with a fingernail
- Not as described: as already stated the dining table is nothing like the image, the legs of the dining table being the most shameful; the gaps in the legs, the sticks not being flat as per the image, EVERYTHING was just so wrong, you may now wish to look at the images.
Now I have walked you through the poor quality product which was not as described, I immediately contacted their customer services team via email, I must say their response rate is quick however don't expect much out of it. I explained to them that I wanted to return the item, they firstly tried to persuade me with a 10% refund and explained that fees to return are high and this would be a charge that I would have to incur myself. Little do they know that I am aware of my consumer rights, retailers have to endure any return postage fees when they send you a poor quality product which is not as described. They then moved on to persuading me with 20% which again I refused because I would not have something so ugly sat in my home. They then followed this up with 40% or a return and provided me with the return address.
I requested they either provide me with a prepaid shipping to post back the dining table or confirm that they would be reimbursing the costs I incur for returning, they evaded this many times sending short emails which all said the same useless statement and also claimed that they would be deducting the cost they incurred to send the item to me from my refund total which again I was in absolute disbelief of.
At current the case now sits with PayPal as I was getting nowhere with Litfad on this conversation an update to this review will therefore be provided in due course.
I am very angry as unfortunately for most Litfad will always come up when you are searching for furniture clearly their marketing is fantastic and they use great SEOs meaning a lot of people are caught out in this palaver.
Moral of the story: read reviews of a retailer prior to ordering.
