Complete and total kludge
March 29, 2022

Fulfillment management and order processing are such a mess that your business will be negatively impacted if you rely on this clown show as a source. Ordered 2 light fixtures AFTER being promised 8 day fulfillment date. 2 hours later fulfillment date changed to 2 month lead time. Canceled order. Refund only issued for 1 light fixture. Calls to customer service (once they finally answer) results in "give it more time to process" responses to no actual avail. Massive time suck. Credit given to them for using English-speaking call agents. Still... take a pass. "Next!"

My opinion?
$10 bucks says my item will stay listed for another few months. :) Why do these sites continue to sabotage themselves? Hire an intern, heck a monkey to remove old items.

Very disappointed
September 18, 2015

Products are good and website is easy to use. However, when a product arrived broken and I needed a replacement right away, it wasn't even shipped for 6 days, though the product was in stock and the customer service rep said he marked the order Urgent. I'll think twice about ordering from them again.

Return Policy Scam
November 22, 2017

As a policy you cannot return without proving the package was tracked. They claim no accountability, or even confirm/deny the package arrived where they instructed me to send the package with printed label. I buy everything online and have never seen this fraudulent policy before.

---UPDATE---
I had to email several times with the representative and demand they follow up with the warehouse and confirm the package arrived. I eventually was reimbursed.

I used this site to buy a ceiling and pendant light for my kitchen, and more recently a wall sconce for my bathroom. The site is easy to use with tons of products to look at. Delivery was great, lights exactly what I expected. I had to return the bathroom light, the size wasn't right, and customer service was outstanding. I spoke to 3 different people over time who all went out of their way to make the process convenient for me. Great reliable site.

I ordered two pier mounts to go with some lights that I had. When the mounts arrived, they were just tossed into a box with no packing material, and more importantly, no mounting hardware, which in my experience they usually should. I decided to find out if they were supposed to come with the hardware so I logged onto the Live Chat on the LightingDirect website. I asked the customer service agent if these pier mounts come with mounting hardware, and he asked me to hold for a moment while he went to check. He came back a few minutes later and said that they DO in fact come with the hardware. I then informed him that my order I just received did NOT include the hardware. He then told me to hold on for one more moment while he checked, and after only about 10 seconds he comes back and changes his mind and says that they don't come with the hardware... Clearly this company doesn't care about providing honest information to their customers. They will tell you what they want to when it suits them. I will not be buying from them again, they are liars.
