This site is riddled with thieves. Of all the obvious car sale scammers I reported to the site administrator as being scammers, not a single ad was removed, even after I emailed the site and pointed out my dissatisfaction with the high percentage of fake ads on their site. By all means, do stay away. Shame on you for creating a breeding ground for scum!
The commercial looks good. But reality hits when not one thing sells. I sell on ebay, Craigslist, offer up, and it's been a hit for me. However, this site isn't what it purposes to be. Sad. Maybe it would be good to update the site. So I can't even rate a one..
This site has a terrible UI for both mobile and web. Type in a search term, and receive any results they want. Put in "BMW", None of the responses were BMWs and the first 12 were other brands, or unrelated items. See Screen Shot.
Set your location, it will say you're somewhere else. Nonstop. You'll always have to reset your location. Half the time to website freezes and dont even let you log in or register an account. I want to like this app but IT NEEDS FIXED!
They all want your items for nothing!
Say you just listed something for $5 which is dirt cheap. Someone will try to haggle with you to get it for $1.50, $1.00 or even free. It's ridiculous.
No thanks! I don't need the headache! I'll sell stuff on eBay.
And another thing, you have to sell it in person. I don't think I trust this! I don't want to meet some creepy stranger who will fight you tooth and nail to get something for free.
Let Go, I'm Letting YOU Go!
So every time I seem to just look at something for sale on let-go. I get a response from the seller that yes it's still available. And I see where it sent a message to the seller. But I never touched any buttons to send a reply. This app is rigged. I guarantee that everyone who uses letgo has had this issue.
Letgo keeps on removing my Sterling Silver Tennis Bracelet. They have so far removed my bracelet 3 times saying that stock photos were used. No stock photos are used for any of my posted items. I photographed my bracelet with a ruler laying flat and then added a closed version on top with text describing the item!
If you sell anything of value you may end up getting robbed. It may work for cheap things that normally sell at yard sales, but even then the people are often don't show. It's not worth the risk to sell things here.
They allow sellers to over post the same ad from the same seller or over post the same service.
You can report them until your fingers fall off but Letgo ignores the alerts they ask members to report.
You can also include quotes from the Letgo Community Guideline page but don't waste you energy.
This site is getting to be a clone of Offer Up and Craig's List.
Try searching for lawn care, handy man or just randomly thumb through the ads.
Goes to show you that you the "do as I say, not as I do" method is well and alive at Letgo!
I am having issues with Letgo app. I post something and then I can't find it because Letgo decided to change the name of the item that doesn't even match what it is. Half the time it errors out on me saying to try later. It has deleted pictures of my items leaving only one instead of the three that i posted. Very shaky.
I have sold a few items on let go, but I am not sure it was worth my time and trouble. If you have plenty of time and patience, this is your deal but if you're like me and let people get on your nerves, forget it. Everybody wants it for nothing and after dealing with the public for over 25 years, I have had it! I had just rather put it out on the curb and let the dumpster divers enjoy it. Very few keep their meeting appointments and it usually takes several back and forth messages before a deal is made. Letgo is not for everyone and I'm one of those people.
I dont understand why people say there interested ask if still available and then nothing, you ask if there still interested and you get no reply, it is both ignorant and rude not to mention as waste of my time. Dont ask if your not interested, period. And there is a user on here selling green Timberland work boots, his name is John Doe and his profile pic is of someone holding a gun, he said tasty things because he did not like my offer... this person needs to be removed and blocked from Letgo, does anyone know who to contact? Horrible issues with website, poorly laid out pages, definitely not mobile device friendly in the least little bit, which I assume is the majority of your business, you guys need to clean house in whatever department oversees your website if you ever want to get a piece of the big boys action! (Like CL or even OU)
I have been using letgo for some time. It is next to impossible to buy and sell anything. I have attempted to even give items away with no success. I feel like 95% of the users are spam/scam artists or bots. Total waste of time
Really good app but a lot of non-communicative sellers. I guess you can just bypass those who dont respond to buyer(s) or use the report feature. Seems to be in its infant stage but holds a good deal of promise as a means of buying/selling.
Ad responders constantly ask a question then blow you off. Or say they're interested, wanna meet, then blow you off. It's very frustrating and time consuming when you stuff is in storage! I'm going to stick with Craigslist.
I cannot express how worthless this website is. I was trying to post different items from the same store and the website kept deleting my post because they claimed that I was posting duplicate posts. Have they not heard of same item, different shades and colors. I got tired of this worthless app and deleted all of my stuff. I even told them that Offer Up and 5 miles were way much better. Don't waste your time on this worthless app.
Letgo should Explain What it means and what to do when someone favors your listings. Other than that it is easy to use and I have been successful in posting and selling some items. As for security in the end you have to meet we a potential buyer.
Seems like a site for criminals. I bought an iphone that didn't work and was probably stolen because it was locked. The seller removed his profile when I tried to contact him. He took my money and ran! I feared for my safety meeting the seller. The person was acting very suspicious. You have no recourse or protection! BEWARE! I felt it was like a craigslist nightmare that I survived.
I honestly can't tell if people are trolls or not. If I message anyone best believe I fully intend on purchasing their item. It seems like no one is seriously interested in buying anything. You could literally post something that's worth $200 for $100 and accept someone's offer for $50 and still be told they will get back with you or they'll think about. Stick to Craig'slist
