Taylor is Amazing! Not only does he provide an Amazing service from LawnStarter he is really great about offering other services that are needed. I travel for work and are out of town often but I never have to worry about how my lawn looks since Taylor is there to take care of whatever is needed. The prices are also very reasonable to services and anything extra that is needed. It's taken a while to find a trusted service but I have found it in Taylor and LawnStarter.

Service was not good didn't even trim the bushes nor give a quote. If you want my business why would you skip steps. Run from this company. Scam artists force you to pay 3 lawn services.

We have been with Lawnstarter for just over a month and they have not followed their own schedule. They scheduled the first appointment and then changed it, the second appointment was set up and then changed dur to personal reasons, third appointment was changed and now this appointment has been changed. I keep getting I am sorry that this has happened to you. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, was told that they would call me back. Still waiting. Work is good when they show up.

Had used them for most of the summer to mow my lawn. They did an OK job, though they never trimmed the grass next to the fence. However, when I went and signed up for leaf removal it was a disaster.

First their website spit out a quote of about $100, which I knew had to be way too low, but the site didn't give a lot of options to push it higher and more accurate. A week later, when they were scheduled to come I get a message "Needs reqoute" in the evening. No offer to give me a new quote but the system automatically rescheduled them to come back, so I figured they would give me a quote then. Nope. Same message that evening a week later, so I finally asked the guy to give me one and if he could come back sooner than when the system had rescheduled as it had been two weeks by that point. He said it would be no problem, but never did. In fact, they evidently came again almost a week later as I got another message of "Reqoute" on the automatic reschedule day. Three weeks of a yard full of leaves, I canceled all services and moved on.

He did not complete the mowing or weed eating and failed to blow the clippings and leaves off the back deck. And have now charged my account again for mowing... which I did not request. Will discontinue use of them.

I got my first lawn cut yesterday. They came out almost at 9 at night. They ran over my pool cord. The gentleman offer to replace it. They missed many patches. And their glass all over the place. Nothing was cleaned up. I know it's hard see at night. I work a lot. So it's hard for me to get around to clean up. In past I had company came but stop showing up but cleaned up after service. With having pool in the backyard it's important keep grass cut and clean. I like my property look nice. I'm looking forward to next job they come out and do better job. I had to send photos for my motor for my pool be replace.

I would not recommend correction I would highly not recommend using this service the company they sent out to cut my lawn never edged weed whacked fully leaving mohawks in my lawn. Extreme waste of money Considering they charge way more than their service provides. I had to call a second company to come 6 in finish what they Left Behind. After spending $40 for a cut with them. What a joke

Lawnstarter provided no feedback on schedule. They would set up a time to mow and not show up. Contacted them and they moved to another day, then not show up. Called again to cancel and they wanted to charge me 3 payments for cancelling. Not reliable, consumer beware.

Really having a hard time with this service. I have been cancelled and rescheduled on so many times (not by my request) and my grass has become so overgrown because of their unreliability. They usually auto-schedule your next service two weeks after a completed service, and whenever my next service date comes around, the crew almost always cancels and reschedules. At one point, they stuck me with a long grass fee because the grass got so overgrown--I didn't find out until after the technician left. I tipped him, gave him a great review, and then found out they charged me the fee which put me at a total cost of $100 for that one service (I disputed it with them and they did refund the long grass fee after a couple days). I also posted a good review on NextDoor with hopes of getting the $20 credit they advertised, and that didn't happen. I need to move on to a different service. Pic of service history attached.

In the past I had some pretty good people but last season I had some terrible lawn people. Two cancelled and stopped cutting my lawn. One person half cut it and let it on even and another person just cut it very sloppy not cutting in a straight line, just chris crossing back and forth across the lawn. They don't bag the grass that is being cut which once it dries out turns brown and just looks bad.

LawnStarter is absolute trash do not use them. Three mows with them, Three different crews every one was a nightmare. The guy that came yesterday mowed half my yard and left. They sent a new crew today with a giant commercial stand on mower and broke my fence gate forcing it thru. It's nearly impossible to talk to these people except via the app. The refuse to let you talk to supervisor… terrible customer service. Save yourself the headache. Use a reputable local mowing service!

Update: After placing my review on sitejabber I was contacted by Meghan at LawnStarter corporate. She was extremely courteous, professional, and sympathetic. She refunded my money and apologized. While I'm still extremely dissatisfied with the overall experience Meghan resolved my issue. I have updated my overall review to 2 stars because of her (she personally deserves 5 stars). If everyone at LawnStarter had her professionalism they would be much better off.

They said a crew, therefore I expected a professional crew and job. I'm a 68 year old women and I can do a better job then this. It took this guy 20 minutes. Front, one side and driveway. He stopped at the middle of driveway and grass was so even, like he couldn't see. This was the second cut, They want you to have 3 cuts before you terminate. I will terminate.

OK let me start by saying i made a mistake trusting this company. I live in Dallas TX. The guy who was assigned to me was named Renair. First i set up the schedule. They told me they would show up on Monday. Well they came on Tuesday around 5 in the afternoon. They came and cut the yard in about 30 mins. My problem is they did not weeded they left the grass on the porch. They also Left large patches of grass in the yard. I called customer service to have them come back out to fix the mess. They told me they would send him back on Thursday. On Thursday Renair called to reschedule to Saturday. I called customer service back to issue a refund for the $15. Then they charged me double. They said my grass was too high and i know it was not that high. Please save your self the time and money.

I set up an account to have them take care of my yard, with just a mow and a quote on some extra work. They ended up having to reschedule my cut and quote, meaning they would have to charge me more considering the grass would be taller by the time they got there. Nobody shows up and I recieve a message from Marcus. Stating that my extra work would be 225 dollars. I asked if they had even seen the yard yet because I've heard nothing and havent seen them once. He responded with " look at the amount of work, I'll come and see"

I'm sorry, but you giving me a quote on a yard you've yet to visit, when its maybe 8x 12 feet, and telling ME to look at the work you never even looked at is extremely unprofessional. I'm sure the quote may have changed once he saw it was maybe an hour job with a team, but that's not the point. I'll find someone more personal.

I'm giving 2 stars because I did not get the chance to see the quality of their work, but had things been done the right way the first time I wouldn't be leaving this review.

I was looking for a full service yard company. I was assured these guys could do the job. What I didn't realize that EVERYTHING is a-la-carte you get mowing edging and cleanup for one price. Everything else is individual bids. Not the way I want to do business. I don't want to have to get a bid for fireant removal, or bushes trimmed and get a different guy out each time.

Seems like all their bids are based on what they see on google maps. I wanted to talk to a person and walk my yard and have them make a list and get me a bid for items on the list. Nope. Just how much it cost to mow a lawn by looking at google is pretty silly if you ask me.

Originally I asked for a single mow so I just judge their competence but nope have to sign up for 3. They missed the first date and then gave me a 2 day window for the first mow. I have a locked gate not going to leave it unlocked for two days not knowing when they would be there.

To be fair to the guy that actually cut my yard he did a credible job so this review is no reflection on him.

The last straw was I got a text saying my payment (they charge your credit card and I have reviewed my statement and there is not a single invoice there) was declined. I notified them that my card had been used fraudulently and ask that they give it a couple of days since I asked my credit card company to honor that charge since it was legit. The next day I get an email saying they were suspending my service due to non payment so I again sent them notification about the problem with my card and telling to cancel the service immediately. I will take care of the charge if it still exists when I get my new card.

Bottom line I would not recommend this company for lawn service. Too much trouble to get anything done and they are NOT a full service yard company. They are an a-la-cart service with no attention paid to what else the yard needs unless you tell them. And then they bid it sight unseen. (google does not count).

I am not attaching photos because the job done was credible and I have no real complaints about the actual job.

Really only wanted leaf removal and stress that when I signed up. Was told I had to get lawn service in order to get the lead removal and did for a few weeks. Apparently, I was never signed up for the leaf service and spent over an hour trying to get regular leaf service scheduled.

Tip for consumers:
Find a local service on your own much less complicated.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. Renting a townhome and figured it would be easier to utilize this company than purchasing a lawnmower and trimmer. In hindsight I could have saved a lot of money had I just made the investment in my own equipment. I had my regular mower quit immediately when he broke my neighbors front glass door with a rock, his replacement half cut my grass, and when they sent out a replacement for that team, they charged me a long grass fee because of the previous poor job. Even if you think in the short term this company is good, they will disappoint you.

Been a member for a little while. Getting them to answer the phone is a TRUE HASSLE for existing customers, yet they answer for potential customers. I have been overcharged 3 TIMES! And have yet to be reimbursed or called back. It takes a week for them to call you back. The lawn care providers are subpar, or at least the several that I've gotten. When one decides your lawn doesn't fit their schedule, they don't find a replacement, you have to complain to get them replaced. They're losing a customer with me.

Me and my wife sign up for the promotional lawn service. The service was only supposed to be 19.99. But instead they charge full price plus a long grass fee. Then on top of that they charged my wife card after I put my card on the app. When we asked why they said once you give you them your car number that can charge it as much as they please. So disregard at my card and charge my wifes.

The two crews I have had did excellent work in my tiny front yard. The first fellow was particularly great. The second crew also great, but they showed up after I called and had that particular mow "skipped." Communications with the company for scheduling (as is their "policies") were very poor, as was the customer service in general. It doesn't matter if the reps are cheery or bubbly or wish me a blessed day when orders or requests by the customer are ignored. It matters is if communications and customer requests aren't honored. If I skipped a mow - crew showed up anyway. Also, also on several occasions, email is sent too late reschedule. In addition, my area is in a drought - highly unusual, but it happens. I only needed mowing 1x per month during this, but that is not offered or acceptable. I am on a fixed income and cannot afford mowing services when not needed. I definitely agree with Anthony G. On this one. Forget it if you have a small lawn or even need 1x per month service on occasion. No. I won't recommend them.

This company says you need to have a 3 mow minimum and then getting them to actually show up for the mows is ridiculous. No one showed for our 3rd mow. I waited an HOUR on the phone for customer service and they didn't help me, just said they would try to get someone else out. A MONTH after my original was scheduled, Bryan was sent to mow our incredibly high and overgrown lawn. Bryan did a wonderful job. However, I would not recommend this company. No one reached out to apologize for the issues until a few days after I posted honest reviews of their company. Would not recommend this business.

I gave two stars because my last mover was alright but other than that they deserve none! They are literal crooks and have taken money from my account base on a lie that they fabricated. No one in the world would pay $93.99 each time to have their grass mowed on a small lot! Than no one ever came to mow the grass and money was taken from my account of which they will not return. May God handle this situation and give them what they have given everyone else. How do you still from people during a pandemic - GREED! You cannot get through to a human unless you are a new customer. They were charging me for service that did not exist!

Simply, a service provider was sent to provide an estimate for the front and back, came, we accepted it, and a few service visits later they stopped cutting the back yard, said they looked at parcel maps and said we would need to pay nearly double. Despite numerous calls and emails to try to rectify the situation, we continued to get canned repeat responses. I would not recommend this company.

I work for them. Can't get a hold of anyone. Got way underpaid for the job i did because i was unclear on how to use the app. You have to bid it or somehow put long grass issue so you can be paid extra. Well since I couldn't connect with them and it was my 1st job, I now am on Tier 3 the worst one where you havent earned the opportunity to be placed with Tier 1 which has 40 jobs available to them. Although I did get 2 jobs from the neighbors for $100 a piece. I didnt even have to give lawnstarter $3 they kept from a tip someone gave me.
