Of the platform, and after reading complaints on various sites, I decided to
Test the platform: I had a friend join the site and we each puchased three

Supposedly, simultaneously, with said Colombian woman; this test confirmed

The woman pictured on the sites profile. About a month later I met a woman
From Colombia, she was a client where I worked, and a very personable lady,
We became friendly and enjoyed many conversations, one day I asked if she
Was familiar with Latamdate, and she said that she knows a couple of girls
That use the site, and explained how the site works: The women are real,
So when a chat request is received, she can accept it, or forward it to the
Communication center where paid staff will handle the chat, if she accepts
The chat request and after chatting with you she decides that she no longer
Wants to, she can have you permanently redirected to the communication
Center every time you request a chat session with her, and when a chat request
Is made for a girl who is busy chatting, the system automatically redirects the
Chat request to the communication center, the entire process is seamless and
Explains why members suspect they have been chatting with different people
Even though they request a chat with the same woman. Also, the girls are
Compensated based on how much revenue their profiles generate, so it pays
To have a popular profile.
Latamdate is your basic chat service, just like the "1-976 voice" chat lines from
Decades ago, only now, they provide pictures and the illusion of a personal
Connection.

I really have my doubts about this site, and it's sister sites. I will say I have met many online scammers on other Latin online dating sites, most being from Colombia, which is where most of these women seem to be from; I have more confidence in sister site CharmDate, and was quite serious about flying to the country of one to meet her, when she suddenly wrote and told me she was getting off the site to seek love offline. Several ladies from LatamDate sent me admirer e mails saying they would be in US in the following month and wanted to stay with me while here. Why would a decent woman do that? One from Colombia had a story about coming to US for a relative's wedding and wanted me to attend wedding with her(this was after numerous letters exchanged & chats) in another major city in my state and meet her family. Then she wanted to arrive early and stay with me a few days before me meeting her family. When she supposedly got here we chatted by phone, she giving me a hotel name(legitimate for the city) and a phone number. Country code for number did not match Colombia(or any S American country), or US, so I called hotel-you guessed it, no guest by that name registered. There is more to the story but you get my drift. The Latin women by nature are so expressive and affectionate in words, as well as actions, that it is easy to fall under their spell. I especially am vulnerable to the charms of Latinas. I chatted with and wrote one incredibly beautiful woman and viewed many photos. When we chatted by phone the voice did not seem to match the pictures, which showed a much more confident and mature woman. I realize that may be a dubious reason to be wary.
There may be some legitimate ladies on the site, I hope so, but in all honesty I believe it to be a scam, just getting some poor sap like me to spend much money chasing an illusion. I found it interesting that when I informed several ladies I would soon be exciting the site, I suddenly got much fewer letters & chat requests!
I suggest, if you try this site, quickly concentrate on one or two women and do not let yourself be dazzled by chat requests. Also, avoid those who continually send several pictures in letters/chats and do not view any except the first "free" one in letter(all photos sent while chatting cost $). If/when you chat by phone, which is VERY expensive, give the lady a way to personally contact you(this works only if no translator required), then exchange only one more emf mail to verify she understood you-the site will scramble any personal info you send by letter or chat. Then wait for her to contact you personally. I also suggest making a written notation of when you purchased credits, and the amount, and save each online receipt sent by Qpid via e mail and compare them and your credit card statements against your written notations, just like you should for all transactions. It is easy to get caught up in writing/chatting the ladies and you can spend much money on this site quickly so cover your backside.
WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT GIVE ANY SITE A COPY OF YOUR PASSPORT OR DRIVERS LICENSE TO "VERIFY" PROFILE AND PURCHASE LADIES E MAIL ADDRESSES. THAT COULD BE A PATH TO IDENTITY THEFT and we all know how prevalent that is today.
