Restroom was without soap for two days. I emailed corporate and the only thing they did was email my email to the management of the location that didn't have soap. Nothing was done. Broken soap dispensers, broken toilet seats, constantly out of disinfectant wipes and watered-down soap.

Worst experience ever, if you want to get a personal trainer don't ever do to LA fitness, I was tricked in the beginning while joining, I had asked for 6 months personal trainer, don't know why in document I signed it says 1 year. Now they are saying there is no way to cancel the personal training sessions and I need to pay half of the remaining year amount around 1400 or I should became a complete disabled person to cancel it! Don't know what to do with this issue! Worst fitness center ever!

LARGO, FLORIDA: The leadership at this club is so unprofessional. They removed the only fan in the Group X room and the AC can't catch up. The Esporta Website states that there need to be a healthy temp of 68-72 with humidity under 50%. It's not happening & the managers are unable to correct the issue.See photos from 5/31 and 6/2 with temps over 76 and humidity over 68%. Just a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Even though I can't swear, I can't find any other justification for the problem I had in the last week other than unwise and ill-run maintenance, not befitted of a reliable club.
After going through a period of pain and discomfort in my right ear, yesterday I finally pulled out the foreign body you see in the picture with a lot of effort and the help of a colleague at Urgent Care. Its appearance coordinates suggest a high probability of a biological organism!
In fulfilling my responsibility, which is both professional and friendly, I felt it necessary to inform you about such an event.

O.K. I am writing another review for this facility since few weeks gone by. The facility cleanness is currently improved because I see that one designate person cleaning the Locker room every day since I submit the first comment. The shower rooms drain are currenty open and allow dirty waters to drain. But indoor swimming areas are still have issue with fealty painting and Crack walls. The indoor sauna were finally open since down six weeks and within the 2 days went back down due to Jet spray didn't works. The indoor running machines are still have issue with schedule maintenance.

I joined this gym solely for the pool and the fact that it's open until 10PM. At the Bear location, it is the most unreliable pool I've ever seen. I've had enough experiences where I come only to see it's closed due to no lifeguard for the 3-ft pool that I now call every time before coming. Even once I'm here, now lifeguards take breaks from sitting by the pool reading/on phones and close the pool even if you're in the middle of a swim. I frequently come from 8-10PMish but got kicked out tonight at 9 for a lifeguard break. It's enough that I want to switch gyms, just not nearly consistent enough if rely on the pool for your workout.

They make you print out a cancellation form and mail it to them to cancel, I did this and still my membership was not cancelled. I only found out today these a$$holes have been charging me and I haven't worked out there in over a year and half. They have a terrible cancellation policy and no one could help me over the phone. I have not experienced this with other gyms.

Canceled membership due to moving. Now getting harassment calls saying I still owe and that my membership isn't canceled. Received confirmation of cancelation online. Typically gym bull$#*!. So we go to gym and Mitch is doing a good job of explaining. When this little $#*! who refused to give name got upset that he was talking to us. Scorpion tattoo on neck. Then she refuses to talk to me. Little $#*! needs to mind her manners. Will never be back.

Poor Management, Cleanness in doubt
I joined the club 2 weeks ago. I have asked for my printed pass at least 5 times. The employees play ignorance.
I had an appointment with a fitness instructor named Amanda. She did not show up. I asked the front desk who had no clue where she was. I still have not heard from her, a week later.
The club offers sanitized wipes. The wipe dispensers advertise only the hiring of a fitness instructor, not the need to use them on the equipment. I went to exercise 8 times since I joined. I saw only three people wiping the equipment after use. This is not a safe and clean place

All LA Fitness locations lack security cameras. It's known for its terrible rape culture within the company. I was cornered and abused by employees after hours. Followed into the locker room and raped. No cameras. Still in court 5 months later. I was left in the bathroom bleeding.

Don't stay late.

Sales rep in Barrie Ontario was not clear on contract, she gets u comfortable & to trust her. In the end La fitness over priced for personal trainer and even advised of a death in family they don't budge.

LA Fitness is a racist place. I was racially profiled and the district director Dan, head director Mohammed and membership team member Brent decided that I should walk away and no action needed to be taken, not even a follow up with with witnesses. This is a terrible organization.

I came back to my aerobics classes in the water after covid and they keep canceling the classes frequently within good reasons and also without informing people on their website! Very unprofessional!

My mom was stiff-armed into a membership. She tried to cancel next day, sales staff made her cry w guilt for leaving and at first told her she could not cancel. This was the King of Prussia location

Lats week on a Sunday I was in the gym and this girl I have seen in the gym on several occasions was coming down the stairs and shot a bird at me. At first, I assumed it was in my head and went to back to my workout. Come today I am at the gym and the same girl was sitting in the yoga room on some mats, I walk in and as I am walking by she is snarling at me for whatever reason I do not know. So, I just keep it moving and go on to the punching bags per my usual routine, after about ten minutes on the bag I go over to Strech and the manager or as he put it courteous Curtis comes up to me and tells me there was a complaint against me, so I asked for what, he proceeded to say I was making members uncomfortable, I asked what members, he did not answer the question then he said if it happened again he was going to have to ask me to leave at this point I am agitated and start to vent. Then he makes some comments well if you have not done anything I would just continue to work out and then made some comment about how his mother use to say a hit dog will holler. Now I am really pissed and told him that I feel like I am being harassed because some woman feels like I make her uncomfortable and now you're making me uncomfortable and making threats. Needless to say, the interaction did not go well, and the manager refused to give me his whole name, I will be following up with a complaint to corporate.

Last Friday at around 7 pm, my locker with a lock was broken into at LA fitness on Kirkman Road in Orlando. The academy did not give any support and worse, the police said that it was not the first time that this happened there. The gym does NOT offer property security for its customers. Terrible.

I always wondered why this club had such bad reviews. Now I know. I've been training for a race Since the holidays and needed access to a swimming pool few times a week. Signed up at this club that is close to my house and paid all the fees and dues. It was fine for couple of weeks and all of the sudden their pool equipment broke and the it's been closed for over a week. I've tried several times and talked to folks including staff and managers and the answer I got was the vendor they are using to install the pump has been ghosting them! Can you believe a corporate gives you an answer like this?
I asked them why I'm paying while I can't use the service and their answer was that their membership fees are per club and they don't care about individual services such as swimming pool! Their customer service and level of arrogance is super bad and I haven't seen something like this before. I asked to speak with the regional VP and they refused to connect me or have someone who cares talk to me! I haven't seen a horrible customer service like this for a while and I'm genuinely disappointed. Please find yourself a different gym if you can.

Hello,

I felt really disappointed with this company. When I choose this gym, the person who attended me didn't tell about many charges I will have during this membership. I had told and made many complaints about how frustrated I was and this company didn't mind about it. I just won't go to this place again and I will tell everyone I know to exercise in another place that is more honest with their clients.

We signed up at the Whitby branch in Ontario, Canada, with Chantiele, and were charged $126 for first and last months, and were told by Chantiele that there would be no joining fee. Nothing more was discussed. We signed the agreements and moved on. A week or so later we get charged an annual fee. We call to complain and get told by the manager, Adam, that nothing can be done since we signed the agreement, and that the fee was stipulated there.

This all comes down to us trusting Chantiele and her not disclosing that there would be a fee, and hurriedly asking us to sign on the screen. Adam was extremely unprofessional and arrogant on the phone, even telling us that we'd be wasting money by cancelling now since we've already been charged. We had chosen to cancel our subscriptions since we moved too far away from the gym, only to find that on the call with Adam, my membership had been cancelled but my partners had not! I feel that this is all a tactic that they do to lots of people.

Disgusting and deceptive. I urge everyone not to trust the consultants and to actually take time to read the agreements even if you are being hurried to sign. And always follow up even if you have cancelled a subscription, and check your bank accounts for any charges.

Thought about joining LA Fitness Pasadena (Rosemead) and stopped in for a tour. "We need your credit card to I.D. you if you get hurt"- a little weird, but ok. Left after 20". Crowded with long lines waiting to use equipment. Not so clean or special. 1 hour later I received a text from the credit card company — LAFitness debited the card for almost $250 in new member, initiation fees.

Tip for consumers:
Do not give your credit card to LAFitness under any circumstances…. Unless you want to pay LAFitness for something you don’t want or didn’t ask for.

Products used:
If you give your credit card to the front desk for a visit/tour-LAFitness will debit your credit card for an unwanted membership. You will only find out when the statement arrives.

My review is for LA Fitness at ******* W BELLFORT ST. I had been going for almost a year and watched this decline very quickly.
First of all I noticed the cleanliness was getting really bad from trash in the steam room to hair in every shower all around the drain and on the walls. Empty shampoo and conditioner bottles to empty water bottles. The place is a mess. People come into the spa and sit in the sauna and steam room fully clothed with outdoor shoes on. Not sanitary at all. Multiple times I had to tell the staff about the mess in the women's changing room, but they didn't seem to care. When you actually walk into the gym you rarely got a "hello" or "Good Morning" and when you did it felt like it was disingenuous.
What finally did it for me was that one day after a spa I went for shower, there was thick black hair in every shower and even a tooth. I stopped using the spa and thought maybe I would just use the treadmills instead.
The treadmills are filthy and the floors around them are unkept. Even when I pointed this out to the manager, he said he knew they were dusty, however as I pointed out it wasn't just the dust it was the sweat stains and trash also on them. I would spend a good 10-15 mins cleaning my treadmill before I could even start. I would watch people come and go beside be person after person running and sweating and nobody wiping down their machine.
I spoke to the Manager about my concerns and although he was very nice he also seemed disingenuous, and nothing changed. I started to dread coming to the gym, it made me lose the passion for working out, so in the end I cancelled my membership.

Vanessa, the manager of Federal Way LA Fitness is most unprofessional. She insulted and humiliated me terribly. She "helped" me yelling and screaming on me and after that she blamed me that "you are VERY RUDE"and told me got out because she finished speak with me!"
Just because I didn't understand why should I pay to"unfrozen" my membership. It is free service by LA Fitness website but She forced me to pay $20.00.
Is it great politic for LA Fitness to have so horrible management, who cannot fix a problems and present your business so bad!
