I purchased a comforter from King Linen and it has been on the bed barely a month. It is simply used as part of the décor in the room. The comforter has never been slept on or under. Unfortunately, the top of the comforter has started to unravel and it looks a mess. I called to report this and was told that due to the period of time I have had this, they are unable to do anything for me. I asked for the owner and was told the owner does not take calls. So, I asked for a supervisor repeatedly and finally as a result of my persistence, I was told she would put a note in the system to have the supervisor return my call. I did receive a call back today and did not catch the phone in time as I am in a wheelchair. When I called them back shortly thereafter, I was told the supervisor had left me a message which I know is impossible because I had my fax machine on and you cannot leave a message when it comes on. I had to ask if I could speak to the person and denied the opportunity to do that as well. After more probing, she finally told me the supervisor said due to the amount of time that had passed, the only thing they could do was offer me an $8.00 credit. She then told me I need to respond to the e-mail she would be sending me and the check would be going out next Friday {which is one week from today}. I am a business owner as well and need bedding for numerous beds as I help people in need of housing. I thought I had found a source for items needed. However, I refuse to do business with small time operations who do not understand the importance of good customer relations. With all of their negative reviews that I have just discovered on this site alone, they must know that their business will not thrive as it could with the various forms of social media that exists these days. Their prices are well below that of major department stores and most online retailers for the exact same comforters. AS BUYERS, WE MUST BEWARE, that anything that sounds too good to be true, most certainly is. As I explained to her, I simply wanted a replacement of the exact same item. I was a business owner in retail previously, and I know that if you are purchasing merchandise from legitimate sources, they will accept returns and the merchant can send items with a manufacturer's defect back to them for credit or replacement. From here on, I will stick with formidable companies that will stand behind what they sell.
