“Great website”

My teacher introduced it to us and our class loved it, they give you videos to help you understand what you are learning and you can earn energy points. You can also get better characters with energy points. If you are looking for a math game, this is one you should be looking for ( tip: do not try st math it sucks) khan academy is one of the best math Games out there and I would recommend it to lots of kids.

“My soul left me”

Gumdum Sille G.

I was doing it one day at a house and my cousins were playing darts. One of my cousins gave me a dart, and was joking that I would blindly hit the dartboard or wall. 2 seconds later I got a question wrong on K.A. I was so mad I threw the dart, hit the dartboard, and broke it in half. I started crying for 20 minutes.

This might be an outlier review, I am an 18yr old college student trying to study for the College math CLEP test, which would exempt me from a couple math classes in school. As a kid, I hated math, I was brought to tears every time I thought about it, I never understood it or had a single positive experience with it. To the point where I thought something was wrong with me. As a little girl, this really took a toll on me. Fast forward some years later, i'm taking on the task of studying math on my own this summer to take a CLEP test that would exempt me from taking 2 math classes in school. Knowing how much I had to learn in front of me, I decided to do Khan Academy.

For the first time in my entire life, math doesn't suck. Sal's careful explanations help me understand concepts that I haven't understood for multiple years. I went into Khan Academy skeptical, because like many of the kids writing reviews, I took 'Khan Academy Kids' as a youngster and thought it was very boring. Compared to any other learning program for higher level college math, it's a breath of fresh air. No 30 min videos that are depressing just to watch, no boring questions you'll never use in life. I mean who wouldn't want to watch Sal teach a math problem using 5 different colors and whatever obscure object he comes up with to represent the value of x?

With Khan academy, I'm actually learning, I'm actually happy, I have hope to pass my exams, and most importantly, Sal is reshaping my impression of math from an instant reminder of childhood frustration and sadness, to something that I even catch myself having fun with. I never thought it was possible. If you or your kid is like me and just never 'gets it' when it comes to math (especially algebra), please consider Khan Academy.

At least just try it!

Its a very good site. I can believe you said its bad just because its boring! Its still educational! And also, you clearly just don't like learning. If you don't understand something, watch a video! You don't need to always get 100%, and in your stats, your first score will be your forever score on it. And why did you say Khan Academy costs money? Please don't listen to that scammer, it doesn't cost money! In fact, Sal Khan, the creator of Khan Academy, is literally famous for creating a FREE online school.

Tip for consumers:
watch videos if you don't understand how to do something. And people, stop giving websites bad ratings due to ONE problem.

I use their courses for every thing I wish to learn, every time before I start learning a new concept either in math or on the web, I check a course here. It helps you guide your mind on the right track. Of course, it cannot replace a university all by its own and for that you need to actually attend courses and be supervised by a teacher/lecturer. But for me, starting something new is the hardest part and Khan academy help me in that regard.

I have used Khan for science courses including biology, chemistry, and anatomy and physiology on the university level and am very satisfied with the layout and length of the videos and problems. My kids use it as their primary source of math education as homeschoolers. Sequential learning experiences for FREE to anyone are provided for learning of many subjects. Khan Academy focuses on understanding requiring few problems, but mastery which I prefer over multiple problems of "busy work." There is also an option to "test out" of material already mastered. We find the site exceedingly helpful.

I've been using Khan academy since grade 9 and it has always been easier to understand and more helpful than any of my teachers where. I really appreciate its free and if I had the money to donate or subscribe I would. All you need is your personal initiative to do well and some focus. These videos helped a lot!

Khan academy is the best learning website I've ever seen. I've been using it since 4th grade and it's lessons really help. Now I use it as a supplement to the zoom classes/edgenuity (Tip, NEVER use edgenuity) hybrid I do now. Sal Khan explains concepts in a clear way, and the questions are relevant to the videos. Their JavaScript lessons introduced me into computer science, and their World History lessons helped me win the geography bee at my school last year. The badges you get from lessons give students a sense of progress and something to work for. Khan academy works great for online distance learning, a supplement to regular lessons, and works well if you want to learn something. Plus it's 100% free.

Khan Academy is great! You can learn so much. I learnt how to do trigonometry, then trigonometry with radians, how to solve some one-dimensional motion physics word problems, cryptography, and yet I'm still learning! It's a great way to study for tests and just having fun while learning!

I am a 47 year old who decided to finally get my high school diploma after 30 years. I unintentionally ran across Khan Academy in an attempt to 'brush-up' on math.

I noticed that Sal Khan has this 'relaxed' way of speaking while explaining how to do math that causes you to also relax as you learn. That made learning very easy. It kept my interest and actually made it sort of fun.

After 30 years having no dealings with academic studies whatsoever, I studied with Khan Academy for a few months and received an overall 82% on my TASC Test (which I discovered has been a replacement for the traditional G. E. D. Of my generation). For math specifically, I received a 78%.

They have a fantastic thing going on there and I would recommend it to any and everyone! Highly effective.

It is great that the videos of the educational subjects are told with a superior approach and language. The choice of images and presentation is successful in terms of analysis of the subject. Offers in-depth examples.

Excellent free place to learn. I especially like the detailed videos; they look professional. I would like it if they had a Q&A or email function that let me talk to the instructors on the videos in real time.

Khan Academy has been a great place for me to practice some extra coding before going to an interview. The theoretical courses are also good because you also need some extra knowledge that the coding courses do not provide. Other topics are also presented in a nice and understandable manner.
