Since Kayak offers discounts from other websites, I appreciate it. The fact that they don't provide discounts for Southwest Airlines—which often have cheaper prices if you don't mind delayed flights—is noteworthy. When comparing prices on several booking websites, such Expedia and Priceline, I usually use Kayak.
I was clearly on the Canadian Kayak Website. A flight deal flashed on the website. It was a scam cause it was in USD and it never clearly stated it was in USD. When I complained they provided me a AI response of how their computer only generated to the locale that the user is using. Which is not true cause I am in Canada. Flights were way cheaper on Expedia and WestJet.
I have used Kayak a few times when looking for flight and travel options. My favorite feature is being able to search new destinations and compare them based on the time of the year you are looking to travel. I also found that Kayak has one of the most affordable options for travel when I compare them to other sites that are similar.
I like Kayak because it provides deals from multiple sites. It is important to note that they don't provide deals for Southwest Airlines (which tend to have lower rates if you are okay with delayed flights). I generally use Kayak to compare to deals on other booking sites such as Expedia and Priceline.
I planned a great trip using kayak, it gives you great cheap options on hotels and flights. The app is great too!
It was frustrating and confusing. When I finally made my decision it redirected me to a site I was unfamiliar with to make payment I couldn't choose the type of bed and by the time all was said and done it said there were only two types of rooms available and neither one would work for us
My favorite site for sure when it comes to booking flights, but why do they default to "hotel search"? Thats not even their strength. Anyways the prices listed are no accurate sometimes and sometimes the flight wasnt even available when i clicked off the page to go to the booking site. So i reccommend it but you need to be careful like i n all things.
Most sites tells the cost info with margin, but this site tell me right information.
That good. Also good experience
They're good for researching and finding the cheapest fares and hacker fares. I've done ok with them, but I've not bought through them; they refer me to a different site having that price. Depending who that is, just doublecheck that all of the nickel and dime charges if any are shown. For hotels/cars though I lean towards Hotwire.
I've used Kayak a few times to get me somewhere. Although not all airline companies appear in the search, i usually find the best deals on their website.
Kayak gets a 4/5 from me.
It help us compare many options available in the market to get what is easy and suitable for us. Easy to navigate the site.
I used Kayak to help find my spring vacation. At first, the amount of pop up windows frustrated me, and I was not convinced I had been given a good deal. However, I spent an hour or so looking online on my own and the best deal I found was through Kayak originally. Definitely worth using.
I use this mainly for airfares. It is usually my starting place to compare different airlines. The only down side is that it does not capture ALL airlines, most notably, Southwest does not come up. That's why it gets only 4 stars.
Great comparisons. They do provide what comparisons one is looking for but many times other sites make less expensive options available.
Kayak has become the on-line trip planner for every vacation and business trips of mine. Whether going alone or with my family, the first thing I would normally do is to hit on Kayak.com to browse through all options for my trip. Narrow down all the possibilities and finally reserve stuff.
The only downside is sometimes the deal does not exist and it gets cancelled at times.
THEY TEND TO FAVOR DELTA I PREFER TO GO DIRECTLY TO SOUTHWEST BECAUSE KAYAK DOESNT SHOW THIER "I WANNA GET AWAY" PRICES
Tip for consumers:
go to southwest.com
Not sure where on the earth would I have been had the Kayak not guided me. I recommend it to all the ones who have been looking to find places for tour
This was the best travel service out there. But now that they got bought out, I hope they stay that way. However, if history and past experience is any indicator, most big companies buy the smaller "great" companies to either drive them into the ground and wipe out the competition, OR to skin them alive, take out the best parts, and dump the remainder. The big company will NEVER try to remake itself in the image of the smaller, better, company.
I have used kayak.com to look for tickets for my two last vacations. Very competitive prices and very easy to do the search. I gave only 4 stars... well no one is perfect, right?! :)
I booked flights to several countries and found good prices and all went through very well,
I like combining searching for cheapest tickets with other websites. Sometimes they do find the cheapest options, but most time they don't
I don't get all the negative experiences people have had. I use this site for lodging and have always found it helpful, and a good starting point.
Kayak is one comparison site that I have had great success comparing flight info
Kayak is a large price comparison search engine for travel. It has prices for plane tickets, hotels, car rentals, and vacation packages. Kayak doesn't sell any of these services directly, but instead directs you to another site where you can make a purchase.
