Supposed Malware hit our site. Immediate 'upsell' to their internal 'security team' noting viruses hit our website. We cannot get into Justhost as it notes a "bad gateway' due to Cloudflare. The security team tells us to contact Just Host to have the Cloudflare removed we call them and they tell us to contact the security team. Hours later and much wasted time and frustration - our website remains down with us locked out by Justhost. We are being held hostage by Justhost! Given the business they are trying to generate, hackers are their internal friends!

I was very disappointed with the customer service. I had been charged for the service for over 2 years and had not been using it. They had my credit card set up on some type of auto renewal. I was charged in January for a year and found it on my credit card bill on February 8th. I asked for a refund since I had not even used the service for over 2 years. Their solution was to charge me for January and then refund the other 11 months. Even though they could see that my domain was hosted somewhere else for the last 2 years. Very poor customer service.

Tip for consumers:
Do not use this company.

I had no idea, as emails look like they are getting sent normally, but none have been received. Investigations that i have done show Just Host in a ban list and so most email providers will not allow emails through from JH! This is the issue "If your email IP is listed on UCEPROTECT-Level 3, it means your email server's IP address is part of an ASN that has a significant number of IP addresses listed as abusers on UCEPROTECT-Level 1. Consequently, emails you send might be rejected or marked as spam by servers using UCEPROTECT blacklists for filtering."

It took a week, a whole series of contacts and my cancellation for Just Host to find the solution for my web site not displaying properly. Customer service is very poor!

I received a message that my account had been automatically renewed. Then some time later I got the message that it was expired and I responded immediately. They did not ensure that there were no problems with my service.

First my web mail was inactive and I was able to get that restored after some difficult chats which blamed the domain registrar instead.

Then my website went to an earlier version although they were always hosing my website and it had been appearing correctly up until a week before.

Just Host staff insisted that Weebly was responsible and after some difficulty in contacting them I was told that they needed to repoint to Weebly. I conveyed this information to staff but they would not act on it. I just gave up and cancelled my account. I have no reason to want to continue with their service after what I have gone through.

A few years ago I cancelled this service with someone on their chat support. They explained that they couldn't refund but would cancel. I chalked it up to my fault. The next year my old site was Chinese adult spam. I explained I had cancelled. They said they couldn't refund but would cancel. Now this year they charged me again! They said they couldn't refund but could cancel my account. This is a scam company now. I would 100 percent avoid at any cost. I had to contact my bank and close the PayPal to prevent further charges. Nightmare company. Avails just host.

Don't waste your money at this company. You can get rid of your money with them, but after that you can no longer reach them. Their friendly 24/7 chat support is just a stupid computer program, that either doesn't answer or doesn't understand your question.

They sell you a lot of things that they will not refund. They have prices that are only good for the first day and then they double. They are difficult to cancel.
The site was not as easy to use as they claimed.

I cancelled my subscription before the renewal date and they charged me anyways! I spoke with the foreign agent who could barely speak English, and they refused to refund my account!

We have had 2 major issues with Just Host within the past year that resulted in our website being down for over a week, and our emails being suspending for over a week in one instance. We are a small business and this has had a damaging effect on our business.

The issue that resulted in our emails being suspended was caused because the domain server was transferred to another entity and no longer able to be read from Microsoft. On Microsoft's end, they are not able to even find Just Host as a domain hosting option to resolve the issue from their end. I called on Monday and Just Host identified the issue and told me it would take 24-48 hours to resolve. After this waiting period, I discovered they sent a verification email to an account that has not been active in 5 years - I did not realize this until the entire waiting period was up. On Wednesday I correctly verified the account and was told it would be another 24-48 hours until the domain was propogated with the correct information fixing the domain server issue. On Friday, 48 hours later, I was told this propogation process was never started and there was no note of any issue in our file beyond updating the out of date email address. I have now been told it will be another 24 hours until I get any update despite being "escalated" and "expedited" multiple times - and no promise that the issue will be resolved. I was also told I was not able to even receive a confirmation that the issue is being worked on and has been recieved by the escalted support time correctly this time. Very unhelpful, uncommunicative and this process has taken 3x longer than they originally told me on Monday due to issues not being properly documented and communicated on my ticket number. They also refuse to provide me any way of contacting the escalated support team and I am left to wait and pray that they might send me an email with an update. Companywide, we have had not been able to recieve any email at all in nearly 7 days.

Earlier this year, our website was suspended due to a "malware" attack. Rather than providing any help, they told me I either had to "clean" the "malware" myself (I am not an IT person and this is out of my perview as an administrator) or pay an additional $15/month for Sitelock service to clean and restore the website. Our IT department was not able to conduct the clean either. I find it inconceivable that they could not or would not clean or protect the files for our domain hosted on THEIR domain service. I think they infected our files with malware so that I would have to buy the Sitelock service!

If they weren't holding our website and email accounts hostage at the moment, I would switch domain providers.

I tried this company out, with a test domain to see the features and service. Well it was horrible, so I let it expire. A year after everything was off they started trying to bill me, first time six times in the first day. My bank caught it as fraud. I turned off that card, they still try several times a day to bill that card, and send me numerous emails everyday, saying I need to pay. Now they say I am on auto renewal, which I never signed up for. I have sent emails everyday, all of them bounce. I done the live chat, lady told me that she would stop all this. That was a week ago, still happens multiple times a day, everyday. I turned them over to the fraud division at one of my banks. These people are crooks, scammers, never do business with them.

I paid for my hosting and then within 2 days they completely deleted me from their system. Very disappointed and can not get hold of anyone.

JustHost went from one of the best hosting companies to one of the worst in the last three years. I have never dealt with such a dishonest company. I have just transfer all of my files to a new hosting company. Now they do things like shut your site down claiming it is infected with malware. Then send you a list of infected files that have no malware on them and then try to sell you sitelock for an extra $500 per domain. They raise your price with out warning. They add service and charge you with out permission.

Illegal web hosting site, after you pay they will all your private data like all id information and photo to save on there own server watch out... no mather if pay with paypal or not, they will get your money, block your account and get your photo, id, information etc just for little webhosting... to much risk that hacker get this stuff and i think it much illegal, paypal have there own security, they do not need to do that. Atm realy bad webhost. Watch out guys.

One of the most pathetic hosting sites, i've come across - I have been hosting my website since the last few years with them and the stats of their uptime are pathetic highlight is their customer service is least bothered to rectify. I just didn't have time to move it to another host, but now I am moving on. Just do yourself a favor and don't fall prey to their pathetic service.

I was with JustHost for over three years and kept waiting for things to get better, but they only deteriorated. First, I could never seem to backup my site for some reason. Customer service was atrocious, always claiming that everything was fine.

My site experienced several hours of downtime at least once a month and since it took forever to get in touch with someone from tech support, it was up by the time they answered. How convenient!

The final straw was when AT&T blocked the server I shared. JustHost gave me no information or indication that they were trying to work things out. Apparently, this happens a lot and innocent customers are affected because JustHost just doesn't care.

I can't believe I stayed with them as long as I did. If you have a website, please go with another host if you rely on the site for your business or income. JustHost has only gotten worse over the years and I wouldn't expect any improvement.

I had just signed up an account with justhost.com and added a few features to it, since their signup process is very inviting. Anyway, point is, I checked out the live support the same and following day and it was just absolutely aweful. I haven't experienced something so unprofessional in a long time. I actually switched to different representatives because one bad apple doesn't make the whole basket bad, but my experience got even worse with the second representative and the thrid wasn't helpful either. I was just asking simple questions, like "can you confirm the server version my account is running on" or "I have signed up for a dedicated IP, why do I have to upgrade in the cpanel when clicking dedicated IP, when I already paid for it at signup" and other questions. But the biggest stink is that I specifically asked about their cancellation policy and they told me they would refund the full amount, except $20 if I want to keep my domain. Thinking about my experience with live support I decided I'd request a refund and move on... turns out they refunded me roughly 50% of my 1 year prepaid expenses. All the added features are NOT refunded, even though live support tells you they refund everything. During the cancellation process they actually offer you a ton for free to keep you on - but I am sure they will charge you big time after the first year. Anyway, this experience was horrible and I consider justhost.com a scam par excellence. They really have it down to look great at first and then F%#$& you over big time.

I signed up for a simple website with JustHost.com because they advertise Free Instant Set-Up and NO HIDDEN FEES. I worked on my site for 3 days and never could make sense out of their setup features. Never added any services. I got fed-up with it after 4 days and cancelled my agreement with them. That same day they charged my account for a total of $61.54. I wrote them since they also advertise a "Cancel Anytime".

What a joke! First of all: I had to have the original Welcome Letter in order to start the refund process. I keep everything, so I had that. They had charged me for "Faster Server". Now, why in the hell would I order a "Faster Server" when I couldn't even build a website?

After their "NON-REFUNDABLE fees were deducted I got $7.95 refunded. Stay away from JUSTHOST.COM. They are nothing but RIPOFF ARTIST.

This site and its hosting business are outrageous. They shut down a good website http://thejiannareport.com because they gave in to threats from other individuals. The jiannareport.com admins were not doing anything wrong. They had set up a database which is not illegal. Nor was it against the TOS of JustHost though that was used as an excuse to suspend the site.
People who are considering using JustHost need to think about whether they will capitulate every time someone threatens them and not stand up for civil liberties.
I give this site a very poor review for performance and would not suggest anyone sign up for webhosting with them.
