Don't be misled by the prices
August 10, 2009

Don't be misled by the prices - this retailer is misery. I placed two orders in Aprll, but didn't receive anything for six weeks - even after sending numerous emails to their so-called customer service department. Most emails were simply ignored. When they were answered (rarely), they simply promised a delivery date that came and went. When I finally received the merchandise, it was too late for me. Plus, some of the merchandise was actually dirty right out of the box. I promptly re-packaged the merchandise, filled out all their return paperwork per their instructions (along with notes about why the merchandise was being returned and the total amount I was to receive as a refund). I took this to Fed-X and sent it back to the address indicated - making sure I specified that I required a signature for receipt at their end. They got the merchandise a few days later - I have all copies of the paperwork I sent with the return and proof of delivery and name of perso who received the merchandise. Then, another wait, wait, wait - more emails, phone calls, etc. Finally, I got a response that they were sending out a postal money order (money order? What century are we in?). It's now August 10th and I have yet to receive the balance of my refund. They refunded (yes, via postal money order) one part of my return, but just left off the refund for the other shipment I returned. Again, many emails (no response) and finally one that said they were sorry for the discrepancy (who's discrepency?) and I would be receiving another postal money order for the remainder. No one ever answered my question (over and over and over again) as to why they couldn't simply provide me with a credit to the card I charged the merchandise to. Never. Here I am on hold with the company (for the last 15 minutes) waiting for someone to verify that they actually sent out another postal money order. They claim they sent it out and it was returned to them and they re-sent it last Friday. Funny, I received the previous one at the same address, but this one somehow didn't get to me. No one can confirm what address this latest one was sent to or if it really did get sent. Whatever you do, avoid this site like the plague. I'm tired of sitting on hold... hanging up now and hoping (against hope) that I get the rest of my refund.

July 12, 2009

I ordered and paid for 6 bras at $20.99 each for a total of $125.94 at www.juliasbrashop.com on 6/7/09 with my credit card thru PayPal. The site says the merchandise will be delivered within 7 - 10 days. Three weeks and many phone calls & emails later, I received exactly half of my order (3 out of the 6 bras). The packing slip enclosed did indicate that 3 of the items ordered were not included, but did not indicate if they were on backorder, or if (or when) the would be sent. Many calls and e-mails later still with no response to my request for a refund for the missing merchandise for $62.97.

I contacted PayPal and they said they offer buyer protection for EBAY CUSTOMERS ONLY! Hmm. Good to know. Am now pursuing claim with credit card company. This company has many, many consumer complaints of also being ripped off on the internet as well as an F rating with their local BBB. As of 7/9/09 there have been over 20 complaints filed at the North Carolina BBB against this company in the last month alone: http://www.nwnc.bbb.org/codbrep.html?wlcl=y&id=*******. You can also file a complaint here if you have been ripped off.

I have also filed a complaint with the NC Attorney General's office at: http://www.ncdoj.com/getdoc/59be4357-41f3-4377-b10f-3e8bd532da5f/Complaint-Form.aspx. You can file a complaint here as well. I can't imagine why the attorney general's office continues to allow this fraudulent company to stay in business. What's up North Carolina?

By the way, according to the BBB of North Carolina, additional contact information for the owner Raju Trivedi (Spinatrix, Inc. DBA Julia's Bra Shop) is: 7035 Brandemere Lane, Apt. E, Winston Salem, NC *******, Forsyth County, *******742 or *******802.

I wish I had done my homework and researched this company before making my purchase. BUYER BEWARE! I do about 90% of my shopping online (even groceries!) and this is by far the worst company I've ever done business with. Save yourself some grief and do NOT do business with these "people". You will be sorry if you do!
