I lost a grill cover on one of my lowers late last season so decided to go with these to give me more visibility. Watching videos and reading instructions it took me just over 2 hours to install. I could easily do this under an hour next time. They light up well, look great, and hazard/turn signals change to amber and flash accordingly. Haven't got the bike out for the year yet but I'm sure they'll light the way.

Will provide me with a refund but I have to pay for shipping back from Canada which is about 1/2 the cost of the order. Can not afford to fix J &P Cycle mistakes. Their boots are sized wrong and jackets do not fit. Horrible experience. Letting all International people know not to shop here as a courtesy. I am stuck with $300 USA funds and $60 CA customs fees of junk.

Web site showed product in stock so i ordered it since it was supposed to ship within 24 hours. More than 24 hours later, no email confirmation of shipment. Got back on the site and it now says backordered. Contacted customer service, very friendly and efficient in looking everything up but nothing that they could do. Couldn't even cancel order since it had been processed. Had to wait longer than i wanted to replace my broken clutch cable.

I waited too long to receive parts. I thought as an RPM member all parts received in 2 days, perhaps I miss understood. Parts would come in a few at a time, delaying the completion of project. Some parts would take a week to arrive. Additionally, the shipping department at certain locations should choose more wisely the proper shipping method. A partial order just arrived, a single snap ring in a 12"X7" box! What a waste.

This order has oil on it. We cannot expedite oil the carriers do not allow hazardous items to be expedited. Expedited shipping does not change the lead time. If you are ordering an it that says ships in 3-5 business days it will not ship for 3-5 business days.I do apologize for your frustration. We ship from multiple warehouses. If all items are not located in the same warehouse your order will come in multiple packages. We do not want to delay the shipping by having all items sent to one warehouse and then shipped to you. We truly do it to expedite and take care of our customers as quickly as we can.

Before J&P was purchased by comoto inc. they were always within their two to three day delivery time. Since the beginning of the year I have ordered various components and they all took over two weeks to deliver small items. I guess my gold card membership doesn't mean much anymore. I have been a customer of J&P over 20 years and I am thinking of moving to a more efficient provider for my parts. Dennis Kirk Inc is the last honest small business with better prices and shipping.

I ordered, as described on the website, a complete wiring extension kit for installing longer wires for handlebar switches. I ordered this kit for my 2006 Sportster since I was putting on taller bars. When it arrived, it had no wire extensions for the turn signals, which are definitely part of the handlebar switches.
To J & P's credit, after I called about this, they did send the additional wiring extensions and connectors. However, it took almost 2 weeks to get the first shipment and another 6 days to get the remainder. Very slow shipping. Overall, it was not a good experience, but ended up ok.

They got me what was left out of my original order, but shipping is very slow.

If you go straight to the garage and pick your moto for fitment, there are no fitment warnings and you can click add to cart. Its on the checkout page after being added to the cart. By then, most customers are not looking for that. I have a different fender and the product didn't fit even though the website says it does. The fitment notes need to be bigger or be forced to be read at checkout. This would have been a 4 star rating cuz the website says it would fit and didn't but was able to return. The second customer service person I spoke to was more empathetic for my situation. The first one stated to drill through my fender. Really? That's your response/solution? For that ridiculous response, 4 star goes to 3. Pic added to show no fitment note but says it will fit my bike.

First time customer, as I am new to motorcycles. Placed an order on Saturday, order came ups on Wed. Opened the box, one of the items box was all smashed, but the shipping box was ok so they purposely packed a smashed up box. Luckily the items inside were not damaged. The items I got were correct. After seeing other reviews guess I was lucky to get what I ordered so quickly. Pretty leary of this company now, based on how my items box came smashed and other terrible reviews. Think I'll shop elsewhere.

I've been a gold club member for years. The was a time JP shipped anything within 3 or 4 days. No longer. Almost anything is Pending Vendor Arrival. I've been waiting for 22 days on a clutch cable. A clutch cable! It should be right on the shelf. As for customer service. It's getting much worse. Always a 10 to 20 minute wait before someone answers. Then you will get a different answer every time you call. I cancelled an item a couple days after ordering. Now it has been 14 days and no money is coming my way yet. Called CS 5 times. Each time they say 1 to 3 days it's in processing. From now on ask for a supervisor if you have a problem. They don't read from a script, call you back and actually take care of your problem. I will still order from them because of low prices and a vast array for goods, but they are getting slower with delivery and dumber at CS..

Tracking on my package was largely worthless. Package moved 3 times in 2 weeks with the first two being customs in the same location and the last update simply stating 'a facility' in Canada

Thought I had found what I needed for my bike, so I ordered it. Item was received without all necessary hardware. Before I went out to buy the necessary hardware myself, I attempted to set the item on the bike to figure out exactly what I needed and found they hardware they did include didn't fit. I called back and spoke to someone in parts who said that although the part was listed as fitting "V-twins", what it should have said was "V-twin Harleys" - brackets did not fit around the handlebars on my Indian, so back it went. Disappointing and kind of aggravating, but Gen and Kimberly in customer service did an excellent job trying to help me.

The instructions that came with the Vance & Hines mufflers said to remove a 5/16th suspension bolt attached to muffler.being replaced. It was a 1/2 inch bolt. Instead. Plus there was another 1/2 inch bolt further at the back of the old muffler that was not mentioned in the instructions.at all. I suspect the instructions were for a softail instead of for the 2022 Freewheeler that I own..

I was advised would be getting my Vance & Hines FP4 tuner, and my ArlenNess Monster Sucker intake via UPS Surepost, that normally delivers via the postal service. I didn't provide a post office box number for my orders as I assumed they would come to my home via UPS with the mufflers that I also ordered. , I assumed the post office would reject the items since there was no post office number provided, and the post office in our tiny town does not deliver mail to individual homes. Anyway, everything was delivered in one large package via UPS directly to my home. I had talked to the post office about expected Surepost deliveries that never happened, but not a biggy.

Ok this is the response I got i will update my rating when i recive my parts for now I will bump up one star only for the quick response (Randy, I tracked down your item. It was just received in to our warehouse today. Therefore it should ship out later today of first thing tomorrow. The item will be shipping to you out of KY so it should be to you before the end of the week without any further issues. Just as a heads up that item on the site does show an 8-10 day lead time, unfortunately those are counted as business days and today would be the sixth business day so we are actually slightly ahead of schedule. I know that doesn't make it any less frustrating I just wanted you to know that we are on track for were we should be on that specific item. Keep an eye on your email for the shipping confirmation and your part should be out to you in the next couple of days. Once again I apologize for the frustration caused by this and I hope I have provided the information necessary to retain you as a future customer. I checked JP and DK for a rear tire. This time JP was cheaper. Tire arrived several days later and I installed it. Haven't ridden it because it's winter and I'm not done with the bike as a whole. I feel like it will work as a tire should. I also think that for the price of a single motorcycle tire it should come already mounted on a rim that's attached to a bike and comes with a strong man to bike up the bike to help you change it when you get a flat.

I ordered a large helmet and I recieved a XXL. I returned the item which was easy but did not receive any notification of when they recieved it and when I would expect it to be shipped back with the correct size that I ordered. After contacting them they tell me they recieved it 4 days ago but it can take 3 to 5 days to process returns but he would expedite it for me. So 5 days go by and nothing I didn't even get a tracking number and I didn't even get an apology for their mistake in the first place. So I contact them again and they tell me well because of the holiday... um no I contacted you 5 days before 4th of July and was told this would be expedited and shipped. Oh well no it wasn't, and even after that I didn't get an apology. Then finally 3 days after that I get the helmet and luckily it was the right size! Helmet is great but customer service is no good.

Business History

John Parham was bitten by the motorcycle bug early in his life. His enthusiasm led to a partnership in a small motorcycle shop from 1975 to 1979. In 1979 he and his wife, Jill, established J. Parham Enterprises, Inc., the predecessor to the present J&P Cycles, Inc. During this time, John still worked full-time and followed his "hobby" in the evening and weekends. In 1982 John was laid off from his factory job. Two years later, in 1984, their small motorcycle shop burned to the ground.
When they easily could have given up, they didn't! Instead, they decided to rebuild the shop, and run the business full-time. Today, J&P Cycles has grown from one employee to over 300. In addition to the Anamosa, IA location warehouse, in 2007 a new 35,000 square foot facility opened in Ormond Beach, FL. At Destination Daytona. The new location features a 15,000 square foot retail space and separate call center.
