Awesome site
December 13, 2013

Awesome site. I applied to a number of jobs on Jobvite - it seemed that most of the companies that posted jobs on sites such as LinkedIn had an application process with their program.

Most of the companies I applied to were very established (I applied to Starbucks and Pandora). Since they trust Jobvite enough to use it for their application process, I feel like the system is reliable. I recommend it for any job seeker because they also have job opportunities posted on their website. Definitely recommended.

This product sucks, I used it and the interface was clunky and I had to do a million clicks to do anything. The engineers must not know how to solve usability issues very well. In addition i keep getting spam from them.

The company service was not worth price and their contracts try to lock you into an automatic renewal annually regardless if you want the service or not. Also, be aware of their customer service representative that provide false information to make sure you stay in the contract.

Overall, Jobvite is a good platform. The video interview is one of my favorite features--it has really helped us screen candidates before inviting them for interviews. And the interface is aesthetically more appealing than other similar systems I've worked with. That said, I've had a few issues with Jobvite, including emails sent through the system going to spam folders, where applicants never find them. I also find myself clicking around Jobvite A LOT, and the pages load slowly (granted, this could be an issue with my company's wifi). For example, I wish there was a way for me to easily navigate back to a requisition page from a candidate's page without having to click at least two times. Another thing is that my coworkers just don't seem motivated to use the Jobvite feature, which is a huge part of the Jobvite platform. Maybe we're a too-small company to really take advantage of it, but I also had a problem where the links in my Employee Jobvite weren't indicating which employee had made a referral, and that issue was never resolved by Jobvite support (and more recently, Employee Jobvites started throwing up spam/phishing warning messages in my coworkers' inboxes). I've had great success speaking with Jobvite support people via chat, and I really appreciate that function. Finally, it would be VERY helpful if I were able to change the workflow for a position on my own. Having to go through Jobvite support is a real pain and time waster.

As I said, I enjoy using Jobvite overall, and I understand that it's a very complicated platform with a lot of moving parts. I wonder whether creating a version of Jobvite for small businesses would make sense--there are so many functions I don't use, simply because my company has less than 50 employees and they're irrelevant to us. I'd love a more streamlined version.

It's very frustrating when you don't know if the message you are sending as a hiring manager or a candidate will get to the other side. Something that we as a society are used to by 2017 is that simple messaging tools do their jobs reliably - Jobvite hasn't been able to do that.

Difficult to use
February 5, 2016

UI is not intuitive, or pleasant.
Formatting job descriptions is a mess - gets messed up easily and is a headache to sort out.
Workflow makes it difficult to move canddiates around req's easily.
No easy way to see summary of candidate's info (job history, education) in a pipeline.
Reporting is difficult from here.

Jobvite Experience
October 28, 2015

My experience on jobvite has been very good so far. Sometimes the site runs a little slow but other than that I have had no major issues. Anytime I need help their customer service reps are on top of any issue!

Good & constantly working toward improvement
December 9, 2015

Jobvite has plenty of great features and helps me stay organized while recruiting for multiple positions. They are fast to respond to issues on a customer service level and the chat feature is incredibly helpful for any questions about site features and usage, but not always the best at turning around results when it comes to site-wide bugs/errors.

Jobvite works really well for managing inbound applications, creating a confluence for your external web properties, and scheduling/managing interviews. It does essentially everything you would ever need it to, and more, with tracking, and an analytics dashboard - Thumbs up!

The one place it falls short, is that it doesn't have the ability to manage outbound recruitment. Creating candidate profiles that are not attached to a specific job or application source, being able to tag them by skill set, and a more effective way to manage tasks associated with a candidate would be great! I currently use Insightly to manage all outbound recruitment, and move the candidates over to Jobvite once they start interviewing. It does seem silly that you would need 2 separate systems for this though.

Web 2.0 job opportunities is the best way to land a good job these days in our lovely recession. It is all about who you know and connections. I found a job through facebook before and it appears this company is taking that to the next level. Linked In seems to work well for this too, but this site focuses entirely on job opportunities and hiring. Sometimes it is a little odd to look for a job on facebook/linkedIn, so this site fills that need.

Very user friendly and efficient
October 15, 2015

Jobvite is the best ATS I have ever used. It is extremely user friendly and efficient. The employee referral process and leveraging our employee's social networks is simple and effective. The work flows and reporting are uncomplicated and yet highly customizable. It is a great product overall. We use Engage and it is an integrated and powerful sourcing tool. The candidate database search could have a few more filters, but they are continually enhancing functionality. I am sure it will continue to improve.

This site is garbage. The profile does not store any information regarding school nor work. You must re-answer 200+ questions for the same company... Even storing in cookies would be acceptable, but this site is THE WORST! Unfortunately, SpaceX uses it... SpaceX you suck too.

I was an applicant to a company that was using this system. The recruiter started by using the software to contact me, but after we realized the system dropped a lot of the replies, the recruiter finally just decided to give me her direct E-mail. This system resulted in several failed scheduling attempts for interviews. Don't use this system to recruit, you will just loose qualified applicants that just will end up really frustrated.

We're sorry you both ran into difficulty when contacting each other. The problem described is not something we've heard from our customers in the past and would like to reach out to better understand what happened. Can you please provide me with the name of the company you were speaking with?

This company sucks, applies insidious discrimination techniques at best. Also does not respect privacy at all, tracks applicants in inappropriate ways, keeps data even after asking for it to be removed, et cetera. If you were denied a job via jobvite, you should report it to the EEOC for discrimination and the FTC for privacy violations. If enough people complain these agencies will take appropriate actions.

I have had no luck getting employment through Jobvites. It's just a way to further distance the prospective employee from prospective employers. Some of the jobs even just change their status to "Not Selected" without reviewing one's qualifications. I guess if you don't "network" well enough, that happens to you.

Scammy.

Jobvite = Love
November 12, 2015

Jobvite is a very intuitive program and has made the applicant tracking process much simpler. They truly listen to their customers and implement changes we feel would better the software. Their customer service is through the roof! I always feel taken care of and if my issue can't be resolved on the first attempt they routinely follow up and make notes so I know what they are up to. I couldn't be happier with jobvite! Now only if all the HRIS we dealt with were this amazing!

I am venting. My job is tough and made tougher by this terrible ATS - Jobvite. It is so stupid and un-intuitive. If you hate your recruiters - get jobvite. They will all want to quit.

Bouncing from screen to screen to screen is frustrating.
Scheduling section is a disaster.
Keeping track of candidate progress is a disaster.
Notifications are all linked - so you don't have complete emails - just links back to screens in JV. SO STUPID AND UNPRODUCTIVE.

I could go on for an hour listing the other productivity related issues in this program - but it would cause my blood to boil and I'd either have an aneurysm or I'd have to go out and shank someone.
