I joined Jacquie from the very beginning and used her cards a lot for more than 20 years. Then for some reason she turned it over to some hot shot who thought he/she would "update it." Into something unusable, unable to find things, and unable to send. But now they're back and back to being easy. Congrats!
We've been customers of JL for many years, but have spent a great deal of time today trying without success to renew our membership. We cannot use the Tesco App, and Paypal claims to have sent verification codes which have not arrived. So our membership has now expired and will not be renewed. We cannot understand why JL has changed into a company which now is unhelpful, uncaring, and definitely user-unfriendly. We feel disgusted, and also sad, as the product has generally been good, much-used, and of great value to us. What on earth has happened to JL?
I have used this for years. Easier and cheaper than US mail. And gorgeous cards. But now it costs twice as much. And I just saw they don't let you respond to comments/thank yous anymore. Were they bough out perhaps? Back to sending a very few cards via (60c per stamp) US mail.
Despite Jacquie Lawson confirmation on 23/09/2023 that my anniversary card had been sent, it did not arrive.
I am aware that you will state that actual delivery is not your problem, this is the first non-delivery I have experienced with Jacquie Lawson cards. Especially disappointing since it is our Wedding Anniversary! I was also unable to view the card, going through the web site provided. Not a happy chappy!
Tip for consumers:
This questionnaire is totally inappropriate for the problem I experienced with Jacquie Lawson cards! My complaint is that the card sent did not arrive!

Been member for years now and this change was as if someone with no knowledge of how well that old site worked came along and decided "the new way" will be the best way! Wrong. Will be missing be a member of this site as I'm not liking the added work to send out my cards.
Tip for consumers:
The functionality of the site was and still is important . . . . especially for any older citizens and is now like a typical PC user thinks its easier than a Mac . . . no, not so, its just not as functional. Less steps created more steps and a few missing steps . . . not good and clearly was made on a template. The old site worked perfectly so disappointed now.
I have an iPad and this may have some bearing on why this is happening. Once I complete my message in the message box and press send, the message disappears. Gone.
Further, I have used this programme for 14 years and they have a way to access new credit cards once old ones are decommissioned or compromised. This without our knowledge or consent. Every business contacts you if the credit card is not valid. Scary! This has happened several times and I know a request for a refund is a waste of time especially after reading the reviews. Will need to use the bank to stop payment. Stay away from this company.
New site requires numerous steps to accomplish task, cumbersome at best!
Draft is illegible small print.
Tip for consumers:
Better Sites are available for less cost and easier to use since the recent changes to site.
Takes MUCH too MUCH time to select and send cards due to numerous steps.
Printing of message on draft is very poor. Also gotten much too focused silly themes.

I have been a loyal fan (and subscriber) from the very earliest days of Jacquie Lawson cards. However, today I went online to send a card to a friend and for the life of me I couldn't get the contacts to work. I tried several times (and lost the composed greeting twice before I wised up and copied and pasted it into notepad) but ended up entering the recipient and her email address myself. The old website was perfect -- never a problem and very easy to use. What smart-alecky advertising person thought changing the layout would be a great idea? Haven't they heard "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"? I also decided to check what information they collect about their customers and was appalled to find some very personal and private details are automatically vacuumed up, unless the customer opts out in writing! I did that immediately, and almost as immediate -- I cancelled my account. This isn't the old Jacquie Lawson company; it appears to have been bought by American Greetings -- at least, that's where they advise you to send your opt out request! AMERICAN GREETINGS? BTW, Jacquie Lawson, I was wondering what happened to your vehement statement in favour of staying independent: "It's a bit of a crusade because there's so much rubbish on the internet" (Guardian, 12 Feb 2006)? I guess everyone really DOES have a price, even a sweet old lady like Jacquie. I'm an old lady, too, and I am sad. It's been lovely knowing you, but I guess I really lost my old friend, Jacquie, a long time ago -- I was just too naive to realise it.
Before the web site up date i was always very satisfied with the presentation and performance.
Since the up grade i find it is not user friendly and does not work.
This is most of the letter I just sent them after receiving an unhelpful letter.
Hello, I tried the methods suggested then went in today to send lunar new year cards to my family and no matter what I did, I had to leave the site & re-enter at least 7 times before it would actually KEEP the text of my note on the card instead of going back to start over from zero. Also, tried rebooting my computer a couple times. I also tried sending one from fb, but my family said it hasn't reached them at all.
My memory of sending things from JL over the past 15 years has been that it was easy and quick, and if I asked my password to be remembered, it was. Now, it always asks for it over and over again and sometimes I have to say how many traffic lights are in the pix! This is so wrong! I used to use this site bc of the beauty of the cards and the ease and pleasure of sending. It's become very hard now, maybe too much automation — but it is NO longer the user-friendly place it was—why I joined in the first place!
I never had to empty caches or have to come in thru different routes. I never had to reboot. I never would lose all the text of my cards, which were often written to specific people, not a group-send! Now — I have to save the text of the card, put it in Notes, then re-paste it EVERY TIME I have to recreate the card. Everything that made JL a wonderful site is gone…
I'm so disappointed in the service offered here.
Tip for consumers:
Wait until this is site is under MUCH BETTER management. And even then, let the buyer beware!

No phone support, Number one. No response to emails, Number two. And no apologies Number three. Bad business. Terrible communication. Only excuses and accusations of the poor intended recipients of the cards/calendars.
Advent calendars expensive, poor customer service and communication, twee selection of cards, it seems that apart from acknowledging your payment they lose interest in any feedback. The codes on advent calendar's defeat some recipient's and at £ 3.00 a copy that's rough on the sender.
I've delighted in the Jacquie Lawson Advent Calendar for years! But the changes that were made this year 2017 were so retrograde. No, not even retrograde, the changes destroyed the charm of all these years...
I'll think twice about ordering one this coming Christmas 2018,,,, so sad.
Bad form taking money without consent need answer I know its only 10 but it is MY 10
